SeawayHeavy Lift – Detail Design Contract – Beatrice WTG (Jan 2016 – to date):
Lead Structural Engineer for Transportation and Installation of WTG Jacket structures. Design elements lead
include - Gripper Design, Early Age Cycling, Transportation, Lifting, Upending, and on-bottom stability works for
deeper jacket clusters with heights up to 78 m. This involved producing the design basis, and a cluster specific
strength, serviceability and fatigue analysis. All relevant primary and secondary member sections checked and
redesigned where necessary.
SeawayHeavy Lift – Detail Design Contract – Beatrice WTG (Jan 2015 – Dec 2015):
Lead Structural Engineer for the secondary steel design of boat landing, J-tubes, grout lines, working deck, crane
pedestals, internal platform, etc. Involved in the design from concept stage till detail design. Work also included
assessing the secondary steel design to G9 Offshore Wind Health and Safety guidelines and approaches taken on
other wind farms.
EDP Renewables – Review Consultant Contract - Moray Firth Met Mast Foundation (Mar 2014 – Dec 2014):
Senior Structural reviewer for Accidental Impact to the Met Mast due to a drifting barge. A loaded scour protection
stone dumping barge (8,000 tonnes displacement) hit the foundation structure due to failure of anchor holding
mechanism causing plastic deformation in the Met Mast structure foundation. Assessed short term, mid-term and
long term risks. Works involved assessing detailed FEA of the scenario, ULS and remaining fatigue life of the
structure after the accident.
SSE – Alliance Framework Contract - Beatrice Offshore Wind farm Limited (BOWL) (Nov 2014 – Dec 2014):
Senior Structural Engineer for the detailed design of secondary steel for the WTG jacket sub-structures. Lead work
packages for Ship Impact Analysis, and Vortex Induced Vibration (VIV) of J-tube and jacket members. Specific
metocean data (wind, wave, and current) assessment for boat landing positions for 84 jackets Wind-wave
correlation for finalising the DLCs for the coupled analysis to arrive at the fatigue weightings for post processing in
Fatjack.

3. DONG Energy – OSP Agreement – Walney, Burbo Bank, Race Bank (Mar 2014 – Nov 2014):
Structural Engineer for Detail Design of four OSPs. Involved from concept stage, all through detailed design and at
certification stage. Analyses carried out - In-place -combined Jacket and Topside, Sea-transportation -vertical
Jacket on the barge, Lift analysis - four point lift with floating spreader bar and loadout analyses. Design and
calculations for primary joints for primary steel. Secondary steel design including crane pedestals, access ways,
lifting trunnions and HV GIS Frame design. Accidental impact assessments and tertiary steel design and
calculations.

Structural Engineer for the Concept Design of a 3-bay Jacket sub-structure for an 8 MW WTG. Work involved
clustering strategy, concept design (3-bay /4- bay), and design basis for incorporating latest Metocean and
geotechnical data. Analysis such as FLS, ULS, Natural Frequency, for each of soil condition and cluster.
Galloper Offshore Wind Farm Basic Design (Jan 2014 – Feb 2014):
Structural Engineer for the Basic Design of a 4-bay Jacket, WTG sub-structure. Packages worked on; ALS – CTV
Impact Analysis, and VIV analysis.
Rampion Concept Engineering Study (Oct 2013 – Dec 2013):
Structural Engineer for extension to the concept engineering study completed by Atkins in 2011. Analysis packages

supervising dry docks and repair works, and providing day-to-day technical supervision for vessels and floating
crafts. Other jobs included drawing up reports and advice on necessary technical improvements and helping crew
