Roman ArtFrancesca Farris
Overview	The Ancient Romans created many different forms of art, ranging from sculptures and paintings to architecture and mosaics.
Roman sculptures	The Romans were heavily influenced by the Greeks in many areas. One of these is that of sculpture. One difference between Roman and Greek sculpture, though, is that the Romans paid more attention to detail and created sculptures that were more realistic in style than the idealistic Greek style.
Roman Paintings	The Romans often painted frescoes, which were murals painted on walls with colored pigments.
Roman Architecture	The Romans created architectural wonders, ranging from aqueducts and forums to stadiums and temples. Two iconic Roman styles of architecture are arches and columns. Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian columns are the three famous types of columns the Romans created.
Roman Mosaics	The Romans created unique mosaics, often on floors of homes. The mosaics, which often depicted historical events and everyday Roman life, were created with small colored tiles called tesserae.
