It aims to acquire, maintain, and promote the optimal use of educational media resources to develop students' and teachers' communication, analytical, creative, and collaborative skills. Specifically, an educational media center serves as a resource center, learning laboratory, teaching agency, and coordinator that provides services like orientation, material selection and organization, circulation, reference, bibliographic services, instructional programs, research support, and multimedia services to reflect the school's philosophy and objectives.

2. What is an educational media center?
 An EMC is a facility of a school system tasked to acquire,
maintain, care and promote the full effective use of educational
media.
 It houses both old and new technologies meant to learning more
efficient and effective.
 It facilitates and ensure the optimum use of all instructional
media.
 It organizes learning activities for students and teachers alike for
them to upgrade and improve on their technology manipulative
skills all for the purpose of motivating them to keep on
developing their communication, analytic, integrative, creative and
collaborative skills for meaningful lifelong learning.

3. MISSION AND VISION OF EMC
 It reflects and supports the philosophy of the school.
 It shares and implements the school's aim and objectives.
 It is involved in a teaching and learning process.
 It is a source center.
 It is a learning laboratory.
 It is a teaching agency.
 A coordinating agency.
 A center for a recreational reading, viewing and listening.
 As a stepping stone to other community resource centers and
desirable lifetime intellectual habits, it introduces the students
to the resources available in the community resource center.
