Goals of ROLE

• Support individual assembly of accessible learning services,
  tools and resources
• Research and develop a psycho-pedagogically sound
  framework
• Create new engineering methodologies
• Develop and sustain an evaluation methodology
• Exploit and disseminate the ROLE results

• Interoperability Framework - Prototypical implementations

What did ROLE do?

• Overview about available frameworks and tools
• Created widget bundles for the different testbeds
• Developed a psycho-pedagogical model for
  recommendations
• Creating prototypical implementations of a common
  background infrastructure for widgets
    –   Remote real time inter-widget communication
    –   Authentication and authorization concept for widgets (goal SSO)
    –   User Monitoring
    –   Collaborative portable Widget Spaces, user profiles (first version)
