• Herbal hair care refers to the use of natural plant-based ingredients,

maintain the health of the hair and scalp.
• There are various forms of herbal hair care products such as shampoo,
conditioners, hair oils, masks, and rinses.
• These formulations often blend different herbs to create synergistic
effects that promote optimal hair health.

agents, conditioners and additives.
• There are three types of synthetic hair dyes :

• Natural hair dyes are derived from plant–based
ingredients.
• They are favoured for seeking a gentler, more
eco-friendly alternative to synthetic dyes.
• Some common types of natural hair dyes are as
follows:

8. AMLA
• Amla, scientifically known as Phyllanthus emblica, is
a native to India and other parts of Southeast Asia.
• It is commonly referred to as Indian gooseberry; it has
been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.
• Amla is rich in vitamin C, polyphenols, minerals,
fibre, carbohydrates & sugars, and phytochemical
constituents such as alkaloids, terpenoids, and
saponins.
• Amla is available in various forms, including fresh
fruit, dried powder, juice, and oil.
