Company Vision
• Belle is the leading Philippine developer of high-end
residential and leisure properties. Its developments are
located in a recreational area comprising mountains,
rolling hills, and lakeshores about 90 minutes south of
Manila in Tagaytay City and Batangas province, with
spectacular views of Taal Lake and the surrounding
countryside.
*I asked the HR Manager for Belle’s Vision and this is what they gave me. On the side note, I do
not think Belle has a Vision statement established. I believe they focused on their “Mission
statement”.

Does it clearly answer the
question: What do we want
to become?
No The Vision’s statement (the Statement) is structured in the present form.
Belle already considered itself as the leading developer of high-end leisure
properties in the Philippines and did not consider future goals. Vision
should be in the future form and should indicate aspirations of the company
that would inspire all stakeholders. The “Vision” statement simply described
its current perception of itself and where the properties are located.
Is it concise enough yet
inspirational?
No The Statement is concise, however, to put it frankly, not what a vision
statement should be. It did not state any future plans and brief information
to achieve those future plans. Also, the statement had no value adding
factor for the company, its employees and the country, ergo has no
inspirational insight whatsoever.
Is it aspirational? No Like what was stated in the former paragraph, the Statement did not sight
future plans or even glimpses of what Belle wanted to be in the next
number of years. It did not say anything about value adding actions that
Belle would partake. The Statement, merely focused on what Belle
perceives itself to be right now and where their products are located.
Does it give clear indication
as to when it should be
attained?
No As stated in the first paragraph, the Statement is structured in the present
form, ergo the assumption is that Belle has already achieved being the
leader in high-end residential and leisure property development. Since the
capital markets have never been higher and with the aggressive
developments of high end properties, Belle should establish clear goals
and define specific time frames for their stated goals. As a standard a 5-
year spectrum would suffice.
Company Mission
• As the pioneer in leisure community development in the Philippines, Belle
Corporation remains steadfast with its commitment in shaping and
influencing the real estate industry by promoting a holistic approach in its
developments. Exclusive homes, clean natural surroundings, and round-
the-clock security and utilities in its gated communities keep in mind the
conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem.
Value-added services and world-class amenities in its clubs and other
leisure facilities transcend into a legacy for generations to come.
• Belle Corporation is leading the way to further preserve the beauty of nature
by incorporating various activities that promote ecological balance for
sustainable development of Tagaytay Highlands and its surrounding lands
in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves.
• Professional ethics and traditional values continue to be the Company’s
foundation in all its endeavors. Management directives are guided by
prudent leadership, which makes the Company continue to conform to the
highest level of real estate industry practices, and prosper for the benefit of
all its stakeholders.

1. Customers No Even though “leisure community” was stated, and that this is usually associated with the high-end segment, it does
not clearly define the specific target market.

Yes The products and services of Belle are mentioned twice in the first paragraph of the mission statement (the Mission).
First mentioned was “As the pioneer in leisure community development in the Philippines”, second was
“Value-added services and world-class amenities in its clubs and other leisure facilities“.
3. Markets No Even though “leisure community” was stated, and that this is usually associated with the high-end segment, it does
not clearly define the specific target market.
4. Technology No Belle’s ”holistic approach was mentioned” towards developments was mentioned (processes can be considered as
technology), but the way the statement was structured vaguely defines this and therefore not enough to indicate
technological advances that proved beneficial for Belle.

profitability
Yes The Mission stated showed Belle’s concern through the statement, “Management directives are guided by
prudent leadership, which makes the Company continue to conform to the highest level of real estate
industry practices, and prosper for the benefit of all its stakeholders”.
6. Philosophy Yes The Mission expressed Belle’s directive towards environmental conservatism and protection as clearly defined in
both statements: “keep in mind the conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem”;
and “Belle Corporation is leading the way to further preserve the beauty of nature by incorporating various
activities that promote ecological balance for sustainable development of Tagaytay Highlands and its
surrounding lands in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves”. The Mission
also mentioned that “professional ethics and traditional values” defines management.
7. Self-concept Yes The Mission expressed Belle’s competitive advantage through the statement “Exclusive homes, clean natural
surroundings, and round-the-clock security and utilities in its gated communities keep in mind the
conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem”.

No Even though there was the statement “…prosper for the benefit of all its stakeholders”, the context here leans
more towards Belle’s commitment to its stockholders rather than its employees.

nation building
Yes Belle is very committed in environmental conservatism and protection withn Tagaytay Highlands compound and
nearby territories as backed y this statement in the Mission – “promote ecological balance for sustainable
development of Tagaytay Highlands and its surrounding lands in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of
life for the communities it serves”.

Robert matias vision & mission evaluation of belle corp. first choice

  • 1. Vision / Mission Worksheet Student Name: Robert Vincent C. Matias Submission Date: November 18, 2010 Strama Class: F05 2-2010 Version: Draft 1
  • 2. Company Vision • Belle is the leading Philippine developer of high-end residential and leisure properties. Its developments are located in a recreational area comprising mountains, rolling hills, and lakeshores about 90 minutes south of Manila in Tagaytay City and Batangas province, with spectacular views of Taal Lake and the surrounding countryside. *I asked the HR Manager for Belle’s Vision and this is what they gave me. On the side note, I do not think Belle has a Vision statement established. I believe they focused on their “Mission statement”.
  • 3. Company Vision Evaluation Parameter Yes / No Why Does it clearly answer the question: What do we want to become? No The Vision’s statement (the Statement) is structured in the present form. Belle already considered itself as the leading developer of high-end leisure properties in the Philippines and did not consider future goals. Vision should be in the future form and should indicate aspirations of the company that would inspire all stakeholders. The “Vision” statement simply described its current perception of itself and where the properties are located. Is it concise enough yet inspirational? No The Statement is concise, however, to put it frankly, not what a vision statement should be. It did not state any future plans and brief information to achieve those future plans. Also, the statement had no value adding factor for the company, its employees and the country, ergo has no inspirational insight whatsoever. Is it aspirational? No Like what was stated in the former paragraph, the Statement did not sight future plans or even glimpses of what Belle wanted to be in the next number of years. It did not say anything about value adding actions that Belle would partake. The Statement, merely focused on what Belle perceives itself to be right now and where their products are located. Does it give clear indication as to when it should be attained? No As stated in the first paragraph, the Statement is structured in the present form, ergo the assumption is that Belle has already achieved being the leader in high-end residential and leisure property development. Since the capital markets have never been higher and with the aggressive developments of high end properties, Belle should establish clear goals and define specific time frames for their stated goals. As a standard a 5- year spectrum would suffice.

Company Mission • As the pioneer in leisure community development in the Philippines, Belle Corporation remains steadfast with its commitment in shaping and influencing the real estate industry by promoting a holistic approach in its developments. Exclusive homes, clean natural surroundings, and round- the-clock security and utilities in its gated communities keep in mind the conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem. Value-added services and world-class amenities in its clubs and other leisure facilities transcend into a legacy for generations to come. • Belle Corporation is leading the way to further preserve the beauty of nature by incorporating various activities that promote ecological balance for sustainable development of Tagaytay Highlands and its surrounding lands in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves. • Professional ethics and traditional values continue to be the Company’s foundation in all its endeavors. Management directives are guided by prudent leadership, which makes the Company continue to conform to the highest level of real estate industry practices, and prosper for the benefit of all its stakeholders.
  • 5. Company Mission Statement Evaluation Parameter Yes / No If yes, which part of the statement 1. Customers No Even though “leisure community” was stated, and that this is usually associated with the high-end segment, it does not clearly define the specific target market. 2. Products & services Yes The products and services of Belle are mentioned twice in the first paragraph of the mission statement (the Mission). First mentioned was “As the pioneer in leisure community development in the Philippines”, second was “Value-added services and world-class amenities in its clubs and other leisure facilities“. 3. Markets No Even though “leisure community” was stated, and that this is usually associated with the high-end segment, it does not clearly define the specific target market. 4. Technology No Belle’s ”holistic approach was mentioned” towards developments was mentioned (processes can be considered as technology), but the way the statement was structured vaguely defines this and therefore not enough to indicate technological advances that proved beneficial for Belle. 5. Concern for survival, growth, profitability Yes The Mission stated showed Belle’s concern through the statement, “Management directives are guided by prudent leadership, which makes the Company continue to conform to the highest level of real estate industry practices, and prosper for the benefit of all its stakeholders”. 6. Philosophy Yes The Mission expressed Belle’s directive towards environmental conservatism and protection as clearly defined in both statements: “keep in mind the conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem”; and “Belle Corporation is leading the way to further preserve the beauty of nature by incorporating various activities that promote ecological balance for sustainable development of Tagaytay Highlands and its surrounding lands in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves”. The Mission also mentioned that “professional ethics and traditional values” defines management. 7. Self-concept Yes The Mission expressed Belle’s competitive advantage through the statement “Exclusive homes, clean natural surroundings, and round-the-clock security and utilities in its gated communities keep in mind the conscious effort of preserving the environment and general ecosystem”. 8. Concern for employees No Even though there was the statement “…prosper for the benefit of all its stakeholders”, the context here leans more towards Belle’s commitment to its stockholders rather than its employees. 9. Concern for nation building Yes Belle is very committed in environmental conservatism and protection withn Tagaytay Highlands compound and nearby territories as backed y this statement in the Mission – “promote ecological balance for sustainable development of Tagaytay Highlands and its surrounding lands in Batangas, thus enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves”.
