Career Highlights
• Promoted to manage the merchant / marketing area of the Commonwealth Bank (State Bank)
and was responsible for acquiring or maintaining many large companies for their merchant
facilities.
• After the Commonwealths acquiring of the State Bank there was much uncertainty as to who
would retain their positions due to duplication of administrative jobs. The CBA wanted to prove
that a long-term administrative person was able to go to the branch network with no associated
training and after discussion with Human Resources I was chosen. With no training I was
placed as Assistant Manager at the Northcote branch for one month. The trial proved
successful and I was placed as Assistant Manager at Coburg Branch. The Regional Manager
at the time Peter Stapleton has acknowledged this transition as an accomplishment to be
proud of.
• Successful in obtaining the Manager Sales Support role at the Commonwealth Bank Diamond
Valley Area Office which involved overseeing the performance of 13 Branches. I also controlled
6 area staff and 12 relieving officers.
• Selected to be one of 20 fair treatment officers of the Commonwealth Bank throughout Victoria
dealing with instances of intimidation, harassment etc.
• Awarded "Teller of the year" twice with Westpac (certificates available).
• In September 2010 achieved an ‘Alfred Davidson’ award which 130 staff throughout Australia
are selected for.
• As of current, I have not had a teller’s difference since November 2011.
