Possible hazards Risk Rating (low, medium, high) How we are going to
control these risks
Make up reaction/irritation This is High risk as we will be using
heavy amount of make up in order to
make our character realistic we will
be using new products which our
actors haven’t had on their faces
so we don’t know how it may react on
them.
We will need to ensure that we
read all the instructions and test
out the make up on our actor
before the filming day so that
we can take it off quickly and
change on the filming day.
Potential tripping over wirers or things
left on the floor.
This is high Risk as it is very dark
behind the stage where we plan to
part of our thriller therefore we may
not see potential hazards.
As we are filming in the dark
behind the stage we will have
turn on the light and ensure
our filming set is clear to
prevent tripping.
Falling down the stairs as its dark This is medium risk as it is dark but the
lighting from the hall covers most of
the stairs
We can use our flash light on
our phone before we can get
the light switch to make sure
that we can see where we are
walking.
Potential Hazards Risk Assessment (low, medium,
high)
How we are going control these
hazards
The general public There is a Low risk of this happening as the
windmill is quite far from the public
we need to consider this while taking our
shots as it is possible for someone to be
walking by.
Public being in the back ground of our
could prevent us from being able to film
there (i.e. someone walking their dog.)
Lack of water This would be Medium risk as a member of
our group may become dehydrated while
are out for a long period of time.
To prevent this we will ensure as a group
that we bring bottles of water.
Weather/ slippery surfaces/ hair and make
up may get ruined while outside
This is High risk as if it is raining and we
our actor to be running it may cause them
slip taking longer to film therefore the make
up and hair will start to get ruined.
We will look up the weather before hand, to
see if we can re arrange a more appropriate
time to film to prevent these hazards. if not
possible we can ensure that we are wearing
suitable shoes to prevent slipping and bring
umbrellas to avoid hair and make up
ruined. Before we go out to film for real we
can also do many practices so, that we
exactly what we are doing and can get it
done as quickly as possible/accurately. This
will avoid a lot of damage to hair and make
up.
