Summary of Skills:
I utilize the methodologies of the Project Management skill set; interpersonal and leadership skills,
organization, time management, and communication. I have gained these skills through years of education
and on the job experience. From the classroom to the conference room, I have established myself as a leader
in the industry. This is evident with my strong knowledge and background in Federal, State, and
Municipally funded construction projects.
Employment:
Estimator/Sales Department – NW Grating Products
I am currently working on bid take offs and estimates for numerous projects on the West Coast (Idaho,
Washington, Oregon, Alaska and California). I ensure that all materials and labor costs are accurately
represented in outgoing bids, as well as project management of awarded contracts. Currently overseeing
the Arbor Heights Elementary School project for our scope of work – worth $107,000.00, as well as the
UW Nano Sciences Building worth $42,000.00. In addition to these tasks, I work closely with the other
sales staff to maintain daily scheduling requirements, Buy America/Buy American certifications, and
sales calls.
Contract Compliance Coordinator – Turner Construction
I monitor subcontractors for compliance with the equity and diversity requirements of the project contract.
I perform weekly reviews of certified payrolls and identify discrepancies in pay and/or job classifications
and take the necessary steps to have the subcontractor rectify these discrepancies. Serving as a liaison
between the contractor and the subcontractor, I provide information for the Preferred Entry Program for
recent graduates of trade schools who are entering into the union associated with their education. Much of
my time is spent preparing reports identifying compliance issues and offering solutions. Working in
conjunction with the Turner Compliance department I adhere to federal, state, and local contract
requirements. I’ve established myself as a subject matter expert on federally funded construction contracts.
Project Assistant – PCL Construction Services, Inc.
I handled many complex tasks from submittals to drawing take-offs and managed the office supply budget.
My daily duties required my prompt response to inquiries by stakeholders, compilation of research material
and creating monthly reports. I was responsible for processing city and state documentation for compliance
with contract documents. I was also responsible for organizing social equity conferences and events for
outreach to WBE/MBE businesses for inclusion in the project. My responsibilities also included identifying
and investigating discrepancies and report findings in subcontractors certified payrolls and inspectors daily
reports.
Project Administrator – M.A. Mortenson Company
I provided administrative support to high level project managers and senior management team members.
My detailed attention to complex tasks such as project schedules, subcontract agreements, maintenance
of compliance to government documentation requirements made me an asset to the project team. I
strictly adhered to quality control protocols and immediately addressed any non-compliant items. I was
responsible for editing all correspondence, emails, and memorandum for grammar and content. My
presentations of project milestones to senior level executives provided me experience dealing with high
level management teams.
