Primary Job Duties
- Forecast Sales, COGS, and Vendor Support on a daily level (by location and
category) through developing a specific set of assumptions and consolidating
several inputs into daily targets
- Create the Dotcom and Mobile SAS Budgets (Sales, COGS, Vendor Support)
by analyzing historical trends, running an ARIMA time-series forecast and
Iterative Proportional Fitting Procedure with SPSS Modeler, and receiving
feedback or adjustments from field leaders
- Collaborate with Category teams in order to receive any special promotion/new
release information to include in the assumptions for the forecast
- Lead monthly meetings with management from Retail Finance and Category
Finance outlining the methodologies and assumptions used to forecast the daily
sales targets for the upcoming month
- Identify key comp drivers for the upcoming month and create a promotional
summary highlighting these drivers that is distributed to numerous business
leaders/partners across the company
Projects/Innovations
- Created unique localized daily targets for all big box locations (over 1,000
stores) using SPSS Modeler, vastly improving the accuracy of the location
level targets, particularly for stores with distinct uniqueness on specific days
(e.g. closed on Sundays or Sales Tax Holiday event)
- Revamped the daily weights methodology and model to automatically account
for category growth year-over-year and how that affects the total store daily
sales forecast, improving the efficiency, accuracy, and flexibility of the model
- Improved PAC daily and monthly target accuracy by implementing our team’s
forecast methodology (previously managed by the PAC team)
- Created a new category, VP – Precinct Services, in order to give service classes
unique daily shape and thus more closely align their daily targets to their
historical business demand

Caterpillar Project
- Facilitated meetings with the PTC and Caterpillar team to gather requirements
and discuss the status of key software functionality changes
- Collaborated with developers to identify, resolve, and test software defects
- Closed out 10+ defects a week, each with a description of the defect and the
steps taken to resolve/test them

- Tested the software performance at Whirlpool’s multiple facilities using my
software expertise to guide my testing
- Independently analyzed test results using Excel spreadsheets
- Led discussions with Whirlpool management about the test results, giving
insight into possible causes for discrepancies and steps to resolve them

- Tested and affirmed financial statements were properly recorded and reviewed
- Audited the entire Earnings Release in order to ensure that the information
