♦ Molded the staff of the Claims Accounting department to function as a team, which resulted in a 200% increase
in team check reconciliation performance after 3 months, as measured by posted revenue. This performance
trend has continued over 8 months.
♦ Designed and implemented several processes for the Claims Accounting (CA) Department that successfully ad-dressed
multiple SOX control requirements.
♦ Developed an updated financial reconciliation process for the CA Department to validate recording of posted da-ta
entries.
♦ Designed a new format for addressing reconciliation of CA Department records requiring manual general ledger
entries.

♦ Developed ad hoc Financial reports for sales and gross profit out of multiple data sources including the SAP
Business, Planning, Consolidation (BPC) tool, Hyperion Essbase, and the in house Data Ops data warehouse.
♦ Validated monthly financial data – data came in from two different data sources at different levels of granularity
(weekly vs month or period) and needed to be reconciled.
♦ Developed ad hoc reports in BPC for reconciliation of updated plan data for the yearly plan process.
♦ Performed root cause analysis to identify data issues within both the yearly plan process and the monthly Finan-cial
close process.
♦ Wrote applications using Visual Basic for Applications to automate monthly reports run out of shared network re-sources.

♦ Interviewed project owners to determine business requirements, generated data and business process models to
resolve near term strategic objectives, and provided architectural support utilizing Agile methodology. The pro-ject

♦ Provided guidance to the data warehouse team for data modeling with a focus on a flexible design that could
adapt to changes in data sources. Proposed alternate database design utilizing Data Vault (3 data types, often
referred to as “Hyper-normalized” technology)

♦ Led development team to merge two existing BPC systems from Qwest and Century Link into one consolidated
