• Trained to work efficiently in the principles of TPS (Toyota Production System) to better understand “lean”
practices in engineering for efficient, automated production, superior quality, and waste elimination.
• Machine and process modifications (Design/PLC) to increase OA (operational availability) while
maintaining quality within single digit micron tolerances.
• Responsible for Document Control of Quality Control Plans and FMEA documents in accordance with ISO
9001 certification.
• Work with Japanese Coordinators/Engineers at Toyota headquarters for support, process changes, and
controlled spec part tolerances.
• Worked in a team of 3 engineers to expand operation from 8 lines to 10 lines (Phase 3). Ran block and total
tryouts on new equipment to perform cycle time tests, Pokayoke tests, Cpk/Ppk studies, etc. Present
findings to President of company for approval to begin production on new equipment.
• Currently leading Defect Reduction Initiative to reduce number of NG parts from ~4.5% to 1% of total
production volume. Reached target within 3 months with better training, visual control, adding machine
PM, and increasing overall awareness of defects and causes using the “5 Whys?” technique to establish root
cause. Cost savings at $80,000/month. Ongoing project to maintain defect ratio of less than 1%.

root cause and implement countermeasures to prevent quality issue from reoccurring.
