Began a progressively responsible 17-year career path with a Fortune 100 global leader
in the banking and credit card industry. Key contributor to numerous technical projects,
developing skills and experience that supported operations and development within the
firm. Targeted areas of responsibility include:
Project Manager
• Provided technical support to the Global Fulfillment Project, a five-year project to
downsize four data print centers and convert all technical resources and manpower
to two mega-centers.
• Oversaw the closing of the South Dakota center and move of equipment to Nevada
to expand West-coast operations. This three-week on-site assignment involved
reconfiguring the print room to handle duplex printing.
• Set-up a new East Coast print facility in New Jersey; designed the equipment layout;
collaborated with electricians in running lines; directed the placement of various L-
pars on the mainframe.
• Generated change records; coordinated and scheduled evening and weekend de-
installs and installs of peripherals to minimize disruption of daily production runs.
2. • Traveled extensively to New Jersey over a nine-month period to train print personnel
on how to set-up and print duplex and simplex statements and how to configure
postal rates for cardholder bulk mailings.
System Administrator
• Analyzed problems or systems information needs within the corporation and
designed efficient patterns of information flow from data sources to address these
needs.
• Collaborated on the AT&T credit card merger project, a six-month project launched
when Citibank purchased the AT&T card; oversaw the introduction of the AT &T
duplex printing system, previously unknown to Citibank print operations.
• Worked with a group of network “gurus” to set-up a routing system to distribute data
from Florida to New Jersey and Nevada so that statements could be printed.
• Recognized as a key technical contributor to shutting down a Florida print center and
transferring all resources and print functions to Maryland, eliminating the need for
temporary employees while improving efficiency of operations.
• Demonstrated a knack for striking a balance between technical printing capabilities
and the need for customer/user satisfaction through the entire production process.
Test Analyst
• Tested new credit card features and services prior to issuing them to cardholders.
• Supported system developers in South Dakota, Maryland, New Jersey and Florida in
identifying, resolving, and retesting the enhanced services, running up to 40
concurrent projects at any given time.
• Converted JCL, procedures, and cards to adhere to testing standards and ensure
that high quality software went into the production system.
• Credited with using problem solving expertise to analyze JCL errors and resolve
testing issues.
• Monitored system usage of resources to ensure conflicts and bottlenecks were
resolved immediately.
Key Achievement
Instrumental in the creation, testing, and implementation of a new testing region for
CitiFinancial in Baltimore.
Took the initiative to create new JCL and applications to be used in the OPC job
scheduler, reducing the time and effort normally required to run the project.
