reminded me of other stories like Alice and Wonderland, The Pirates of Caribbeans movies (POC on

Billy Budd Analysis
Billy Budd is the story of the sailor Billy Budd and his time on the H.M.S Bellipotent during the last
decade of the 18th century, after being impressed from the previous ship he was on The Rights of Man
. He was seen as a handsome sailor , and was loved by his old crew. He was also innocent to a fault.
This man could not see the bad or suspicious in someone at all. In the context of this novel, he was the
purest good in this ship, which could also be seen as a microcosm of the world as it was. Billy as a
whole is seen mainly as a man without fault. He could do no wrong in his world, because he is the
personification of all that is good. This makes his one flaw, that being his stutter, the perfect aspect of
his being to show us of the dangers of innocence. The fact that he cannot bring words out to defend
himself against the malice tossed at him because his very being will not allow him to even
comprehend that there are people in the world with such ill intent. Ill intent does not exist to him, and
it ultimately proved to be his undoing. As if almost a flip of a coin, Claggart can be seen as the
complete opposite than that of Billy. An ugly man, in both the figurative and literal sense, Claggart s
innate malice is without cause or limit. While Billy lacks the awareness of the differences of human
actions and the intentions behind them, Claggart knows these differences all too well. He has a great
understanding of deception and ambiguity that he uses to hide his real

The feminist movement came to fruition during the early 20th century. Over all, the push for women s
suffrage and rights was strong, but further enhanced by leaders like Alice Paul and Jane Addams. The

Diaz informed us by providing some background of this childhood. He also explains to us that robbery
happens all the time, In our neighborhood, cars and apartments were always getting jacked, and the
kid stupid enough to leave a bike unattended for more than a tenth of a second was the kid who was

My name is strep. Streptococcus Mutans to be exact. I live in a diverse community but my family
make up about twenty percent of the world we live in. Our home is called mouth. We have lived here
for as long as I can remember. From what I have been told we lived here before there were even
homes for us. As a baby our host was kissed by a caregiver who transferred my family to our host. I
wasn t around yet but I hear we had to live down in the grooves of the tongue at that time. Then when
teeth began erupting we were able to upgrade into better homes but some of my family still lives down
in those valleys. We re a bacterium that is normal to have so our host has never really tried to kick us
out but we re not the cleanest of microbes and have been known to cause some tooth decay here and
there. I am writing this journal to keep record of the things that have been happening to us lately.

I know that no one will ever be reading my journal besides me but if for some reason you re reading
this I know I kind of left you in the dark yesterday with what I said about our home. Which is funny
because we re pretty much always in the dark here. Lately some strange things have been happening
around here when it comes to how our host takes care of his mouth. Some of the streptococcus mutans
have been eliminated. That s a change because our world has mostly flourished for a very long time.
