Sr. Account Executive
Lead role as the account manager for Private Label brands distributed by the wholesaler Grocers
Supply Company, Houston TX to 1100 independent and chain customers. Annual Private Label
brand sales exceeded $130 million dollars and covered over 100 different grocery categories with
1300 plus product offerings. Knowledgeable in the development of private label brands from
conception to On Shelf placement at retail as well planning and initiating the promotional programs
necessary to grow sales.
• Prepared annual budgets as needed to manage Sales, Revenues and Expenses meeting all
expectations. Worked with the account to set goals for private brand development while
managing the services offered by the Federated Group to develop strategic alliance
relationships.
• Managed monthly Marketing Funds / Trade Dollars as required to facilitate promotional activities
necessary to grow Private Label business.
• Maintained the current state mandated WIC program in place with annual submission of items by
state. Rectified any issues related to a specific states programs in regards to the Grocers Supply
Co., their Retailers, Vendors and the Federated Groups brands.
• Functioned as auditor of all unresolved invoice deduction issues related to Grocers Supply
Purchase Orders for Private Label brands. Provided resolution of these deduction issues as well
as the collection of past due brokerage and completion of unsigned supplier agreements for
representation by the Federated Group at the Grocers Supply Co.
• Worked directly with 60+ store group Fiesta Mart Inc., Houston, TX to increase the market
penetration of their own private label brand by developing new items and redesign of existing
items. Also communicated promotional activities available from wholesaler to further increase
sales and market share.
• Managed the Import and Export of Private Label brands to the Grocers Supply Co, as needed.
Maintaining certifications and quality analysis as well as trademark registration.
• Facilitated Licensing Agreements for private label products in those categories not covered by
traditional brokerage agreements.
• Handled the disposition of all consumer complaints related to private label products for those

• Managed the transition of private label brand suppliers as necessitated by market conditions to
maintain competitive price structure and profitability.

Implemented Campbell's category management strategies and tactics at the retail level in a territory
located in East Texas and Western Louisiana consisting of 83 locations including Wal-Mart
Supercenters, Kroger and Brookshire Grocery Co. Tyler, TX accounts. Achieved superior in-store
presence in targeted accounts working with customers’ operations staff to increase retail sales
objectives.
Account Manager 1984 – 1998
Planned and implemented marketing programs for all Thermal and Frozen brands at the direct sales
level for accounts in the private and military business sectors. Accounts included: Brookshire
Brothers Grocery Co., Lufkin, TX; Avoyelles Wholesale, Alexandria, LA; Fort Polk Army Base,
Leesville, LA; England Air Force Base, Alexandria, LA; Perry Bros. General Merchandise, Lufkin, TX.
Performed analysis of sales expenditures and expected volume returns versus actual results based
on budget constraints and contractual requirements. Used fact based sales information to promote
the sales, distribution, and merchandising of Campbell brands at the direct customer level.

year, for customer sales and display execution, as well as team goals delivering 97% – 115% of
assigned goals. Consistently ranked in the top 3 of 12 team members for Team North Texas and
Team Gulf Central.

direct and headquarter level. Recognized for implementing best practices regarding joint direct
calls with account broker partners. Awarded multiple “You Make a Difference” awards for
maintaining account continuity during transitional periods of personnel change.
