Implemented a Labor Analysis Business Intelligence solution for a simulated national
construction company.
Existing data from diverse data sources were consolidated into a uniform SQL Server
2005 database. SQL Server Integration Services was used to define imports of the
data, build scheduling packages, to define integration flow, log data error exceptions
and orphaned data and to define Database Maintenance Plans and send emails.
Created a number of cubes, dimensions and business critical KPIs using SQL Server
Analysis Services representing aggregations in several different ways - hierarchically
and using custom groupings that the company will use to analyze performance.
Created several MDX queries according to business requirements.
Developed several detail and summary reports including line and pie charts, trend
analysis reports and sub-reports according to business requirements using SQL Server

Created score cards with executive summary dashboards using MS Office Performance
Point Server 2007 Dashboard Designer that display performance monitoring measures
for sales, sales trends, and book return rates for a simulated book publisher deriving
data from a SQL Server 2005 OLAP data source and deployed them to SharePoint
sites. The dashboards also contain drill-down capabilities to view book sales by book
category and customer, through summary reports and sales trend charts.
Created score cards with advanced set of dashboards using MS Office Performance
Point Server 2007 Dashboard Designer that feature executive summary measures for
revenue, overhead costs, material purchases, labor and profitability trends for a
simulated construction company extracting data from a SQL Server 2005 OLAP data
source and deployed them to SharePoint sites. The dashboards also contain pages to
view performance by employee, by region, and by quarter enabling end-users to make
filter selections.

Developed a system to triage/exchange sensitive patient information between
divisions handling different types of therapies. This system was streamlined and
divergent in terms of information platforms to ensure patient information was
transferred ten times per day via a secure FTP. Environment was VAX VMS using
DCL and COGNOS PowerHouse with a RDB Relational database.

Supported the Billing System used on their 11 national locations, Corporate Billing and AR
Systems, and ancillary supporting applications on a VAX VMS using DCL and COGNOS
PowerHouse with a RDB Relational database.
Worked with team to create Post Back facility to provide management the ability to
track billing activities from their Billing System through their AR System.
Created an automated process to archive large amounts of complex data stored
across their 11 field locations and their corporate location.
Modified the nightly batch billing process to address One-Order-Per-Invoice taking
into account exceptions for special entities such as Medicare Part D.

transfer and cleanse data moving from old systems to new, J. D. Edwards, Human
Resources and Payroll systems. Part of transition team-that transferred inventory
and storekeeping systems. Representative accomplishments include:
Collaborated with Corporate Tax Dept. to redesign, rewrite, test, and implement
improvements to W2 process requiring exclusive use of its own VAX machine with
dedicated IT personnel.
Result: Reduced W2 Process from 15 hours to 40 minutes process that ran on the
normal production machine.
Created, a Quality Control function for Corporate Payroll Tax Reporting System.
This, could be run with to the W2 process or independently.
Result: Eliminated dependency upon the external tax-reporting vendor to QC our tax
reporting data.
Automated unwieldy, time-consuming, and costly Payroll reporting process for
remote plants using ADP Payroll. Part of cross-functional teams including Corporate
Tax Department, and IT technical systems personnel.
Result: Saved over $27,000 per year in ADP costs alone. Work involved coordinating
efforts and activities of the ADP IT and business support staff, corporate Tax
Department, and internal System Services.
