Vehicle Build Planning& Scheduling
• Consolidate vehicle requirements from engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and training and to generate a
vehicle build plan contained by approved program budget.
• Liaise with all cross functional team and seek management approval on the proposed build plan.
• Create Proto / Production Vehicles ID's based on the approved build plan
• Vehicle timing creation / Schedule vehicles to meet the program launch timing and create batches within the
schedules to meet different test phases
• Schedule Formalization.
Bill of Material Development
• Create complete list of Bill of Materials (BoM) in GPIRS (Global Prototype Inventory Requisitioning System) as
per vehicle specification / variants / build-able combinations.
• Maintain 100 % BoM accuracy by actively involving in Change control meeting with engineering, releasing and
purchasing team.
• Freeze BOM prior to validation and maintain a change log for late addition / deletion, rework, retrofit through
PCN (Part Change Notification)
• Publish BOM comparison report for programs with Joint Ventures (Mazda / Volvo / Changan)
Bill of Material Validation & Order Management
• Compare BOM Structure (tree chart) with respect to WERS (Engineering) release.
• Liaise with respective PMT (Product Module Team like chassis powertrain, interior, electrical, body exterior,
HVAC etc.) Engineers for GPIRS BOM Validation using validation tool.
• Participate in Part Change Notification meeting and change the BoM on basis of approvals.
• Release orders to supplier with appropriate lead time.
Shortage Meetings and Supply Chain
• Conduct Shortage Meeting post order release until completion of build
• Dispose all supplier Red Borders (supplier issues / discrepancies) in part supportability meeting by involving PD,
Purchase, Program Team, Build Team

2. • Publish physical part receipt metrics post MRD (material required date) until build completion.
Vehicle model launch and build support at build location
• Play active role in Program Steering Team and ensure all program milestones are achieved on time.
• Provide "On-site" support for all major build events, until successful completion of build.
• Includes physical support at overseas location and supported for more than 5 verification prototype builds at
Asia Pacific and North America.
• Play active role as program lead from prototype planning for Figo, Fiesta, Ecosport and several power-train
builds in India.
• Coordinate with engineering community, build team and suppliers on all change requests, rework and retrofit
until vehicle testing.
• Deliver prototype vehicles to testing facilities and support on testing activities with part pedigree information’s.
Partial Build Support
• Ensure facility readiness is achieved on time by supporting correct level of prototype parts to line builders.
• Support VTTO (Vendor Tool Try Outs) and MTO (Machine Try Outs) builds with staged parts.
• Generate BoM and validate for part module developments with surrogate parts.
Training and Development
• Being the master trainer for the department, have the responsibility to train all new comers and other team
members on need basis.
