- The Columbian Exchange was the name given to the exchanges of goods, ideas,
and diseases between European Explorers and the Native people of the
Americas.
- Many crops were exchanged, but the Main Food Product that the Americas
sent to Europe was the Potato.
3. Cultural Diffusion
- Cultural Diffusion is when one culture influences another culture.
- An example of this would be like having an American restaurant in Europe.
- Like having a McDonalds in England.
4. Triangle Trade
- Trade between Africa, the Americas, and Europe is known as Triangle Trade.
- Each area sent different goods (and even people) to the other areas.

- In the Columbian Exchange, one of the worst things that Europeans brought to
the Americas was Diseases.
- Some examples were smallpox, measles, and influenza.

- When we talk about the Columbian Exchange, we are talking about when trade
took place between the Americas and Europe.
