This document analyzes data from an experiment on carmoisine dye concentration using UV-Vis spectroscopy. Table 1 shows the absorbance values of carmoisine standards at different concentrations. Table 2 shows absorbance values of unknown samples. Figure 1 is a standard calibration curve with R2 = 0.9989, indicating a linear relationship between absorbance and concentration. The unknown concentrations were determined to be 27.8 ppm and 36.4 ppm using the Beer-Lambert law and calibration curve. The experiment aimed to determine the maximum absorbance wavelength, molar absorptivity, and generate a standard curve to quantify sample concentration spectrophotometrically.
