This document outlines a research study that aims to investigate the effects of using documentary videos with and without English subtitles, as well as audio recordings, on Diploma students' listening comprehension abilities. The study will use a quantitative correlational research design to examine how two variables (video and audio) influence students' understanding levels. Data will be collected through questionnaires, pre-tests and post-tests administered to a simple random sample of UiTM Diploma students enrolled in an ELC120 course.
