Research Paper is attached Each student will individually be expected to read a research paper from the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) from 2016 – 2020. to base your three Theoretical Review papers on. For the Theoretical Review Paper_1, you will work with the first section of the course textbook --
The Self and Messages
. This section is assigned to you to get us started with the writing assignments, however, going forward in the course you will be able to choose the section you want to focus on for each Theoretical Review Paper. The sections you can choose from are below and they align with the sections of the course textbook.
The sections on communication theories are:
The Self and Messages (Chapters 4, 5, 6, 7)
Relationship Development (Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11)
Groups and Organizations (Chapters 14, 17)
Culture and Diversity (Chapters 27, 28)

2. Select a Theory from each section

Appropriate Topics:
The Research Report should consist of a comparative analysis of two programming languages of your choice.
Important Student Notes:
· Each student submission should be checked for plagiarism. Students should be warned that Turnitin has a very good historical memory and is capable of accessing reports from both internal and external resources (i.e. Universities, Governments, etc.) including those originally written in non-English written languages. Plagiarism will result in a grade of zero (non-negotiable) for the assignment and may results in other university actions.
· Only one submission attempt is permitted – AS THE STUDENT TO BE SURE BEFORE DEPRESSING ENTER.
· Acceptable file formats for submissions include Microsoft Word (doc, docx) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF). No other formats are acceptable.

· Chapter 1 illustrates the document details of the research report and constitutes Background/Introduction, Problem Statement(s), Goal(s), Research Question(s), Relevance and Significance, Barriers and Issues related to topic chosen. Chapter 2 should consist of student paraphrasing the cited research material (i.e. what happened in case study x). Chapter 3 should be the reasoning for doing a basic compare/contrast or advantages/disadvantage of what was stated in Chapter 2 (do not state because the professor said so). Chapter 4 is a complete analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of what was stated in chapter 2. In effect, chapter 3 is a statement of what will be done and chapter 4 is what was done and what the findings were. Again, thus far the writing is objective and must not contain student opinion. Chapter 5 states results, conclusion, and future work recommendations. Here is where student opinion (or any researcher) can state their respective opinion as the student has now “done the work” and are justified in stating results.
· Graduate student are expected to be proficient in the use of the English language. Errors in grammar, spelling, or syntax will affect student grade. The Professor, will not provide remedial help for writing problems. If the student is unable to write clearly and correctly, the student should be urged to contact the program office for sources of remedial help.

Address specifically the issues raised by acknowledgement and apology in malpractice lawsuits:
· Injured patients often sue because they want an explanation of what happened, and an apology for the injuries.
· Statements by the healthcare professional that could be perceived as admissions can create legal liability in formal litigation.
· Some state laws, and some methods of alternative dispute resolution, help enable the apology without the liability.
Your paper must examine these issues and explain what options you would recommend, supported by your research and analysis. The final paper must include at least 4 scholarly sources other than the Reading & Study materials and the Bible, cited in text and in a reference list. You must also integrate biblical analysis of the topic into the paper.

Throughout history, art has been used as propaganda to shape public opinion. Propaganda takes many forms, such as architecture, paintings, print media, and is used to promote religious, political, and social ideologies. Select and fully identify two works, in any medium, that were used to shape public opinion. Citing specific elements in each work, analyze how each work conveyed its propagandistic message to its intended audience. You need to analyze how specific elements of each of two selected works convey propagandistic messages to its respective audience. Think about how works of art promote religious, political and social ideologies.
Propaganda can be seen as consisting of three interpolated elements: (1) actual information, ideas or rumors that are circulated; (2) the vehicles through which those items are disseminated, such as art, texts and performances; and (3) the organizations and institutions that generate and direct the spread of propagandistic content. Propaganda is created to promote a particular entity’s interests, whether corporate or individual, and typically has an intended audience — sometimes multiple audiences. Propagandistic art has existed since the first complex human societies developed approximately five thousand years ago. Works of art have been used to legitimize a ruler’s authority, to glorify a state’s accomplishments, to reify social hierarchy, to reinforce religious beliefs, and to influence how people think and behave, among other things. Architecture has served as a vehicle for propaganda since ancient times as well.
You have two tasks:
(1) you must fully identify two works of art in any medium. One from the ancient world (BCE) and one from the modern world (CE)
(2) you must analyze how specific elements of each selected work convey a propagandistic message to an intended audience.
Technical stuff. Your essay must be at least five pages in length, use Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced, and include a works cited page. Include images at the END of essay. You must use at least three actual books as resources and no more than two web sites (no Wikipedia!). Include images AFTER the works cited page.
Don’t forget to cite yours sources throughout your essay.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
