Instructions:
Based on the current crisis our criminal justice agencies are facing that have had to make some policy changes. Students are to research and select one agency from the criminal justice field (police, courts, corrections) and detail in a PowerPoint presentation how that particular agency is responding to the COVID 19 crisis from a "policy and procedure" perspective. Policy is the goal (what you want to accomplish and procedures are the steps to achieve that goal). You must use two sources in your presentation and must be in your reference page. You must indicate the agency and the specific challenge the agency is addressing (they may have many only focus on one). For example:
· Police Arresting Policy Response - Effective immediately our department's arrest policy will focus on violent and felony arrest only.
· Misdemeanor offenses will result in verbal warning, written warning, or tickets.
· Criminal Court Proceedings Policy - Effectively immediately first appearances will be done remotely by video conferencing.
· Transporting Prisoner from County to State Prison Policy
Layout:
1. PowerPoint Presentation should be between 10-15 slides.
2. 14 to 16 point Times New Roman font size
3. Bullet point information (do not write paragraphs)
4. Use images and proper background colors and text colors so that your presentation is clear and enjoyable
· Cover Page (The name of the agency you researched and your name) (1 Slide)
· Name of Policy and Description (narrow policy that you are focusing on, this can be a paragraph) (1 Slide)
· The concern/challenge/problem which is being addressed (1 slide)
· The new procedures - What are the steps that will be taken to address the problems (this will be the bulk of your slides)
· References (1 Slide)

Alcohol and Drug Issue 1Roger Williams University Memora.docxgalerussel59292
Alcohol and Drug Issue 1
Roger Williams University
Memorandum
To: The Department of Public Safety
From: Assistant Directors, Office of Student Affairs
Date: February 18th, 2014
Subject: Alcohol and Drug Issue at Roger Williams University
Purpose:
The problem that we are proposing to research is the increase in drug and alcohol violations that are occurring on and off campus. The number of violations has been on a steady rise in the past few years, and we want to figure out why. This is a problem because students are getting hurt, and there could also be legal ramifications against the students in question along with the school. We propose a research project into figuring out why there has been an increase in violations, and if there will be legal ramifications for the parties involved. Comment by Dahliani Reynolds: Interesting lines of inquiry. I’m not sure the legal ramifications is fully justified, but your purpose statement is otherwise cogent.
Methodology:
The Roger Williams University website provides campus life information including the policies and guidelines of the university which will help us during our research to receive correct data. We will evaluate current policies surrounding students’ alcohol and drug use both on and off campus and compare RWU’s policies with other universities. Looking at other college and university policies and guidelines will help us tremendously in figuring out how we can fix the increase of alcohol and drug violations. We will discover the Colleges and Universities by contacting them and looking at their school websites. We will do anything we can to ensure RWU is in line with current best practices to keep our environment safe and secure. Below are some important questions to ask ourselves while we do our research. Comment by Dahliani Reynolds: Which other universities? How many will you compare?
These are some important research questions: How quickly are the rates of violations increasing? When did they start increasing? What year are most of the students who are caught? What other Colleges and Universities are against on and off campus drinking and what are their policies and guidelines? Comment by Dahliani Reynolds: Redundant Comment by Dahliani Reynolds: Good questions
Significance:
As the Office of Student Affairs, it is our responsibility to take action in investigating and studying these changes in the activities of students at Roger Williams. This includes issues ranging from student involvement in extra-curricular activities, to affairs such as the one at hand. We are concerned about the rising violation rates in campus policy, mainly related to substance abuse, because not only does it look bad for the entire school, but is also destructive to the Bristol community as a whole. This is why I request your permission to investigate these issues to maintain healthy relationships with both the Bristol Police Department and the Bristol community. Finally, because of the seve.

THIS ASSIGMENT HAS TWO PARTS
Due week 3:
Is there a difference between “common practice” and “best practice”?
In this Assignment, your Evidenced Based Project, you will identify clinical areas of interest and inquiry and practice searching for research in support of maintaining or changing these practices. You will also analyze this research to compare research methodologies employed. There are multiple parts to this assignment that will be due over the weeks of the course. Part 1 and 2 will be due in the 3rd. week.
Part 1: An Introduction to Clinical Inquiry
Create a 4- to 5-slide PowerPoint presentation in which you do the following:
Identify and briefly describe your chosen clinical issue of interest.
Describe how you used keywords to search the published literature regarding your chosen clinical issue of interest.
Identify the four research databases (remember that libraries are not databases)that you used to conduct your search for the peer-reviewed articles you selected.
Provide APA citations of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected.
Part 2: Identifying Research Methodologies
After reading each of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected, use the Matrix Worksheet template to analyze the methodologies applied in each of the four peer-reviewed articles. Your analysis should include the following:
The full citation of each peer-reviewed article in APA format.
A brief (1-paragraph) statement explaining why you chose this peer-reviewed article and/or how it relates to your clinical issue of interest, including a brief explanation of the ethics of research related to your clinical issue of interest.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the research methodology used. Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific.
A brief (1- to 2-paragraph) description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected.

IDS 400 Milestone Four Guidelines and Rubric
Analyzing an Issue or Event in Diversity Through the Lenses of the Natural and Applied Sciences and the Social Sciences
Overview: For the first part of your final project, the critical analysis portfolio, you will select an issue or event in diversity and critically analyze it through the
four general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. By viewing the issue or event through these lenses, you will
gain insight into how the intersectional nature of diversity affects society as well as both your own individual framework of perception and the choices, attitudes,
and behaviors of others in the world around you.
For this fourth milestone, due in Module Six, you will analyze your issue/event in diversity through the lenses of the natural and applied sciences and the social
sciences. Like Milestone Two, this task provides you with an opportunity to dive deeper into your analysis of the issue/event through these two lenses. This will
provide you with a chance to practice analyzing your issue/event through these lenses and receive feedback on this practice attempt.
Prompt: First, review your work in Modules Five and Six, as well as the Four Lenses document from Module One.
Next, analyze your issue/event through the lens of the natural and applied sciences by exploring the following questions:
How does this issue/event provide a social commentary through the natural and applied sciences?
In what ways can science help resolve or enhance your issue/event?
Next, analyze your issue/event through the lens of the social sciences, and address the following:
How does this issue/event interact with the social sciences lens and impact social issues?
In what ways does the social science lens help articulate a deeper understanding of the social issue(s) that inform your issue/event?
Note: You are completing two separate analyses: one from the natural and applied sciences and one from the social sciences. You must submit two papers in a
single Word document.
Be sure to use evidence from research to support your analysis. Refer to course resources, the LibGuide for this course, and any other pertinent resources to
support your responses. Relevant current news sources may be used with instructor approval. Incorporate instructor feedback into Final Project Part One.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Lens Analysis: In this section of your assignment, you will analyze your issue/event through two of the four general education lenses.
A. Analyze your issue/event through the lens of the natural and applied sciences for determining its impact on various institutions. Utilize evidence
from research to support your analysis.

Unit 4.2 Social Sciences Critical Analysis Essay
Social media such as Facebook and Twitter have obviously become a large part of our lives over
the last decade or so. However, many feel that there is both good and bad in this. Questions arise
about how the internet and social media might be affecting our brains, behaviors, and
relationships. Are repetitive, short-term tasks affecting our brains? What are the psychological
effects of communicating through a machine? And finally, perhaps the most important question;
is it affecting us in negative ways that we might not even be aware of? After you have read the
article Technology, Relationships, and Culture: Clinical and Theoretical Implications by Karen
Zilberstein, please write a 500-word interdisciplinary critical analysis essay based on the article.
You do not need to go online or to the library to find information about this topic. All the
information you need is within the article that is provided. We want you to read, review, and
critically analyze the information in this article. In your quiz for Unit 2, you learned about APA
citation style, which is used for papers written in the social science disciplines. You will need to
cite this one reference at the end of your paper and make in-text citations throughout your paper
using APA citation style.
When you write a critical analysis essay, you do not need to be an expert on the topic. Your task
is to evaluate what the author has written. For the essay to be interdisciplinary, it must include
more than one discipline. Those disciplines are specified in the instructions below.
THE FIVE-PARAGRAPH ESSAY (INSTRUCTIONS)
When writing this essay, please use the five-paragraph approach. In this case, each paragraph
should be approximately 100 words long. This is by no means the only formula for writing such
essays, but for this assignment, it serves our purposes well. This method consists of:
1. Add a title page with all the information that is highlighted in yellow on the title page of
the “APA Sample Paper” that is provided.
2. Do NOT include an “abstract” page. An abstract it not necessary for the purposes of this
essay.
3. PARAGRAPH 1 (100 words) - An introductory paragraph
Clearly and concisely states the paper’s purpose, which is engaging, and thought
provoking. Your introductory paragraph should answer these two questions: 1) What is
the nature of the work (type, purpose) and what is the primary message(s) of this work?
2) What problems is the author trying to solve and what are the primary issues that the
author is addressing?
4. Three evidentiary body paragraphs (paragraphs 2-4). Analyze the following disciplines
and their role in the painting featured in the article.
a. PARAGRAPH 2 (100 words) – Analyze through the lens of the natural science
discipline of physiology about.
As a backlash, the professional model, which reflects a "we are the experts and you are not" attitude, alienated the police from the public. Problems and crime kept growing, and people wanted to be more involved in their communities. Therefore, community members started to work closely with the police. The police saw their resources diminish and decided it was critical to engage the communities to more effectively combat rising crime.

CJ 675 Milestone O ne Guidelines and Rubric
Overview: For this milestone, you will prepare a draft of your final project that thoroughly addresses the items listed in the prompt. To complete this
assignment, you must complete the textbook reading assigned in Module Five and review the materials presented in Modules One through Five.
As a criminal justice leader, you will often be faced with making decisions that reflect not only on you but on your department as a whole. We often use tools
like statistics and crime trends to offer the best possible route to finding a solution and ultimately making a decision. The field of criminal justice is constantly
changing; new laws, policies, and procedures make situational, evidence-based decision making a complicated daily task. And it is nearly impossible to make an
informed decision without first researching the issues at play and leveraging the power of available data to determine the right solution for each particular
situation and organization.
You will assume the role of a leader within a criminal justice organization of your choice. Based on your chosen scenario, you will be presented with a specific
challenge that is emblematic of wider issues in contemporary criminal justice.
Prompt: Your task for Milestone One is to complete the Introduction, Theory and Methods, and Literature Review sections of your final project. You will be given
information (including this data set) for your scenario, but you must also conduct your own research on comparable organizations and trends in the field to
determine opportunities and external threats.
The following critical elements must be specifically addressed:
I. Introduction: In this section, establish a context that provides your audience with any background information that is necessary for understanding your
proposal.
II. Theory and Methods: In this section, explain the theoretical frameworks that underpin your analysis and proposed solution.
A. Identify foundational criminology theories that apply to your chosen organization and the challenge it faces. Draw connections between the
theories and your specific context that will ultimately support your analysis and your proposed solution.
B. Examine the strategic methods used by leaders in the field for approaching problems such as yours. For example, what do the current best
practices in the field suggest in terms of researching and investigating the issue? Highlight methods that support your proposal.
C. Similarly, identify best practices in the field for communicating with diverse audiences. Illustrate these practices with specific examples that will
ultimately support your communication plan.
III. Literature Review: In this section, present all of the evidence that you have analyzed (including the provided data and your independent research) and
that will support your proposed solution.

Assignment 2 LASA Ethical Decision Making Case Study PaperMan.docxrock73
Assignment 2: LASA: Ethical Decision Making: Case Study Paper
Many counselors are competent in their knowledge and understanding of ethical standards and relevant laws. However, real-world situations often do not lend themselves to straightforward solutions. Therefore, counselors must rely on ethical decision-making models to clearly explore ethical dilemmas and to identify appropriate courses of action for different dilemmas. This assignment will help you not only apply an ethical decision-making model but also clearly identify a conceptual model for risk management that can be used throughout one's clinical practice.
Directions:
For this assignment, you will review the following case study and incorporate the materials learned throughout the course to answer the set of requirements that follow in a paper approximately between 8-10 pages.
Case Study:
Zander is doing his master's in clinical mental health counseling and has become friends with Tasha, one of his peers in the program. Tasha has shared that she had a substance abuse problem in the past but did not attend an addiction counseling program; rather, she chose to self-monitor and attend AA meetings as needed. Tasha also confided that she has been involved in a sexual relationship for several weeks with Dr. Supervisor, a new supervisor at the agency where they are both interning. Dr. Supervisor has just recently started to provide on-site internship supervision to Zander and Tasha as well as two other students at the internship site.
Tasha reveals she began spending time with Dr. Supervisor 3 months ago, when he asked for her assistance in setting up a personal Facebook page, so he could better communicate with clients he sees at the site. Being well-versed in social media, Tasha helped him set one up and taught him how to use it. Over the next few weeks, they spent more time together, initially working on Dr. Supervisor's Facebook profile and trying to "friend" old clients he used to work with at another agency. Tasha was thrilled they had convinced at least five clients to leave Dr. Supervisor's old agency.
Dr. Supervisor and Tasha began to eventually go out to dinner. After 2 months, their interactions evolved into a sexual relationship. Tasha tells Zander that she's not concerned about any conflict of interest and that she and Dr. Supervisor will likely get engaged once she graduates from the program at the end of the year. Zander is becoming increasingly concerned, however, as he has seen Tasha and Dr. Supervisor meeting at an off-campus bar multiple times in recent weeks, and Tasha has begun to miss classes and other regularly scheduled meetings with clients. Zander reports a significant increase in his caseload because Tasha is missing meetings with clients.
Tasks:
In approximately 8–10 pages:
A. Identify Ethical Dilemma or Issues.
1. Identify the relevant ethical dilemma and issues in the case study.
B. Summarize Your Ethical Model.
2. Outline the proposed action(s) you would t ...

HEA 560 Milestone One Guidelines and Rubric
Your specific role within a higher education institution will dictate not only your daily responsibilities, but also your unique perspectives related to the
development and implementation of institutional policies, your interpretations of how state and federal policies impact student outcomes, and the relationships
that you currently hold or could build with internal and external stakeholders. In your role as a higher education administrator within a specific unit or
department, you may also be directly impacted by institutional, state, or federal policies established by others. Consequently, you may be tasked with following
regulations according to the mandates, recommendations, or suggestions under those policies.
For this milestone, the perspective from which you will write the final admission policy proposal will guide your priorities—the level of authority or reach you
hold as an administrator, the partnerships that you need to consider as you develop the policy, and your ability to implement the policy within the higher
education institution. Furthermore, the perspective you take for this assignment will functionally determine the types of resources at your disposal, the academic
and professional communities to which you belong, your unit or department’s role in the overarching strategic plan of the institution, and your responsibility for
helping the institution to achieve its mission statement each year.
The four perspectives from which you will choose include the following:
Director of Enrollment Management
Director of Student Activities
Faculty in the Business School
Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Each of these professional roles carries a unique set of responsibilities and considerations—and all functionally operate in units with different missions as they
relate to the overarching mission of the institution.
In Module Two, you will share with your peers the perspective that you have selected for your final project, the written admission policy proposal. Throughout
this course, this role or perspective will frame your responses for all tasks related to the policy proposal. As you consider the perspective you selected, address
the prompt requirements in your initial post and as you extend the conversations with your peers.
As you consider the perspective you selected, address the following prompts in your initial post on the discussion topic:
1. Select and identify a perspective you will use to guide your development of the admission policy proposal.
2. Explain why you selected this perspective. Explain your level of familiarity with the perspective and describe the areas that you currently need guidance
in regarding writing a policy from the perspective that you have chosen.
3. Identify three professionals that are currently in positions at institutions similar to that in the final project—small, highly-selective, in ...

The topic of your project needs to be a contemporary societa.docxalisoncarleen
The topic of your project needs to be a contemporary societal problem, such as healthcare reform, immigration reform, privacy rights, euthanasia, First Amendment Rights, stem cell research, capital punishment, corporate prisons, legalizing drugs, ageism, animal rights, cloning, prayer in schools, racial profiling, recycling/conservation, sexism, outsourcing jobs, workplace bullying, etc. The topic must focus on a single aspect, as in “How far do corporations intrude into the private lives of their employers?” or “The social costs of financing the distribution of custom-designed drugs.” You may suggest another topic to use, but the instructor must approve the topic during the Week Two Discussion.
The Final Research Project will present research relating the responsibilities of a critical thinker to contemporary society. In this assignment, you will do the following:
Research one aspect of a contemporary social problem.
Define the problem.
Propose a possible solution for the problem.
Create an argument that supports your thesis position. You should take on the perspective of a critically thinking researcher. The argument must present a thesis statement and evidence to support the thesis statement.
Evaluate the ethical outcomes that result from the position you take on the issue and explain how those outcomes would influence society and culture.
Interpret statistical data from at least two peer-reviewed scholarly sources.
Evaluate evidence using the following standards: validity, reliability, and bias related to the chosen topic and accurately identify strengths and weaknesses.
Research and Define the Problem
You must take on the perspective of your major field of study and explain in your paper what that perspective is and how it informs your view of the topic. The topics listed above are far too broad to write about in 10–12 pages (3,300–3,900 words). Instead, you must choose a narrowly defined thesis and approach it from the perspective of your field.
Example:
If you are an economics major, and you are interested in immigration reform, you should approach a very specific aspect of immigration reform through the lens of economic theory and practice. A specific thesis question would not be, “How does illegal immigration influence the U.S. economy?” One could write thousands of pages on such a topic. Instead, a better question would be, “How do illegal immigrant hotel workers in Chicago impact the economy of Northern Illinois?” You would then want to do the research and determine the positive and negative impacts they have, ultimately trying to conclude how illegal immigration in this area should be approached ethically.
How to Hone Your Thesis:
It is important that you start your research early in this course. Try to find the most important contemporary questions and theories in your field of study and then align the most important questions with a very specific aspect of the general topics above. For example, if you are a psychology maj.
Knot theoryDid you tie your shoe laces the same way today .docxcroysierkathey
Knot theory
Did you tie your shoe laces the same way today as yesterday? We are all
familiar with knots from everyday life. But when does a mathematician
consider two knots to be the same? To capture the mathematical, rather
than physical, features of a knot, we glue the ends together to form a circular
loop, and then treat the string as infinitely strong, thin, and stretchy. The
downside of doing so is that it is not immediately clear how to distinguish
two knots, as there are infinitely many configurations for the same knot.
For this project you should find out about how knots are represented, and
about some of the invariants used to tell them apart. Some possible areas of
investigation include:
• tricolourability.
• genus.
• the Jones polynomial.
You should include plenty of your own examples to illustrate your under-
standing.
Prerequisites
No particular background knowledge is needed, but you will need to be able
to interpret a 2D diagram as a 3D object in space and visualise it moving
over time.
Literature
• Colin Adams, The Knot Book
• Peter Cromwell, Knots and Links
Additional tips:
The purpose of the final assignment is for you to analyze an existing policy (at the federal, state, or local level) and discuss its impact on a social problem. You aren’t proposing a policy, but analyzing an existing policy of interest to you.
Be sure to take enough time reading about the policy you selected to thoroughly understand it in an in-depth way and be able to confidently answer the questions in the assignment.
Please take time to carefully read each question in the assignment and be sure to answer it. As you proof-read your paper, take the opportunity to again review the assignment and double check that you have thoroughly but succinctly provided the information for each applicable question.
Please make sure you are using APA style in your final paper, including the title page with name and dates.
The assignment is 8 – 10 pages long because that’s roughly the length of a comprehensive social policy analysis. Please try to refrain from adding more words than necessary to stretch the length.
Proof-reading more than once is a great idea to try to catch sentences that aren’t sentences and words that are inadvertently misused. Read it out loud. I understand that the U of MD’s writing lab is available to help those interested in strengthening their writing skills – don’t hesitate to take advantage of it!
My expectation is that direct quotes be kept to a minimum in that graduate-level writing involves synthesizing ideas and then presenting them in your OWN words. For those quotes you do use, please be sure to use the correct citation and quotation marks. Not doing so may be considered plagiarism and will be responded to accordingly.

Critical Analysis Portfolio and Presentation Proposal
Overview
For the first part of your final project, the critical analysis portfolio, you will select an issue or event in globalization and critically analyze it through the four
general education lenses: history, humanities, social sciences, and natural and applied sciences. By viewing the issue/event through these lenses, you will gain
insight into how the interconnected nature of globalization affects society as well as both your own individual framework of perception and the choices,
attitudes, and behaviors of others in the world around you.
For this first milestone, due in Module Two, you will select an issue or event to analyze through the four general education lenses. You will explain the issue or
event and its relationship to globalization as well as describe its connection to all four lenses.
Prompt: First, review the module resources you have so far encountered as well as your work in Module One. In addition, it is suggested that you visit the IDS
401 LibGuide for guidance on how to select a topic. Select one issue or event in globalization and write a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses how this
issue/event fits into the framework of global society and then addresses how each lens influences perceptions and attitudes toward the issue/event,
globalization, and society. The paper should outline each lens’s impact and framing of the issue or event. Be sure to provide a working thesis statement and
clear definitions for your key terms.
Specifically, you must address the critical elements listed below.
I. Introduction: You will compile a series of critical analyses of a single event or issue in globalization through the four general education lenses: history,
humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences.
A. Topic: Using the four lenses, explain how an issue or event within globalization has or has not influenced modern society.
II. Lens Connections: In this section of your assignment, you will describe the connections between your issue or event and each of the four general
education lenses.

of the following options:
Option 1: Imperialism
The exploitation of colonial resources and indigenous labor was one of the key elements in the success of imperialism. Such exploitation was a result of the prevalent ethnocentrism of the time and was justified by the unscientific concept of social Darwinism, which praised the characteristics of white Europeans and inaccurately ascribed negative characteristics to indigenous peoples. A famous poem of the time by Rudyard Kipling, "White Man's Burden," called on imperial powers, and particularly the U.S., at whom the poem was directed, to take up the mission of civilizing these "savage" peoples.
Read the poem at the following link:
(Links to an external site.)
After reading the poem, address the following in a case study analysis:
Select a specific part of the world (a country), and examine imperialism in that country. What was the relationship between the invading country and the native people? You can select from these examples or choose your own:
- Belgium & Africa
- Britain & India
- Germany & Africa
- France & Africa
Apply social Darwinism to this specific case.
Analyze the motivations of the invading country?
How did ethnocentrism manifest in their interactions?
How does Kipling's poem apply to your specific example? You can quote lines for comparison.

What are the psychological
effects of communicating through a machine? And finally, perhaps the most important question;
is it affecting us in negative ways that we might not even be aware of? After you have read the
article Technology, Relationships, and Culture: Clinical and Theoretical Implications by Karen
Zilberstein, please write a 500-word interdisciplinary critical analysis essay based on the article.
You do not need to go online or to the library to find information about this topic. All the
information you need is within the article that is provided. We want you to read, review, and
critically analyze the information in this article. In your quiz for Unit 2, you learned about APA
citation style, which is used for papers written in the social science disciplines. You will need to
cite this one reference at the end of your paper and make in-text citations throughout your paper
using APA citation style.

A. What is the connection of your issue or event to the lens of history for determining its impact on various institutions? Utilize evidence

of the following options:

InstructionsFinancial challenges associated with changes.docxmaoanderton
Instructions
Financial challenges associated with changes to how healthcare organizations are reimbursed for healthcare services, the cost of implementing new technology and professionals to comply with federal requirements for electronic health records, and the increasing numbers of individuals who cannot pay for their healthcare represent only one issue for healthcare executives in the healthcare delivery system. But it has significant consequences for the viability and solvency of healthcare organizations. Healthcare executives don’t have a crystal ball; however, they do engage in forecasting the future based on what is currently known and examination of trends (Lee, 2015). To do this type of forecasting, healthcare executives are demonstrating techniques found in anticipatory management. According to their seminal research, Ashley and Morrison (1997) reported there are severe consequences for not anticipating future trends in a rapidly changing and complex society. The anticipatory management process they describe begins with scanning the environment to identify issues; creating issues briefs to inform stakeholders; prioritizing issues; assembling the team of experts; creating, implementing, and evaluating action plans and outcomes; and adjusting the course when necessary.
Last week, you compared healthcare delivery and costs in the United States with those in developed countries. This week, you will focus U.S. healthcare executives and how they prioritize the challenges confronting them to minimize the impact to their organizations.
As you prepare your assignment, consider these questions:
What challenges you have experienced in the healthcare workplace or when you have accessed your own healthcare provider?
Have you observed changes to how your personal health information is gathered and documented?
What technology is now being used which may be new to your workplace?
Were you required to take additional training in your current healthcare position due to the implementation of new technology?
Have you experienced a shortage of healthcare personnel in your workplace or at your healthcare provider’s office?
What effect have these situations had on you as the employee and patient?
After your examination of current literature on the trends, issues, and challenges for healthcare executives and their organization's review Ashley and Morrison’s seminal article (1997) on anticipatory management and utilize the sample chart shown for this assignment.
You may recreate this four-column table in a Word document and insert your issues/trends, identify which organizational area is/will be impacted by each issue/trend, and provide your rationale for the priority level you assigned each issue/trend. Be sure to use a title page for this assignment and a reference page in APA format. You will add rows to your tabl.

InstructionsDevelop an iconographic essay. Select a work fro.docxmaoanderton
Instructions
Develop an iconographic essay. Select a work from this module to write the essay on. Utilize the objectives and above information to develop the statement. The essay must include a thesis statement/introduction, supporting body, and conclusion. The conclusion should provide a synthesis of the statements and thesis into a final idea about what the audience should remember and take away from the assignment.
List the objects and subjects included in the painting
Provide an iconographic definition (ala dictionary or glossary for each item)
Identify the narrative source for each item (artist invention, poem, narrative, biblical, greco-roman, other presence, real life historical or cultural artifact as symbol, other artworks and ideas as symbols, etc.) (
ex. Alexander the Great as a symbol; American Flag as a symbol; Greek mythology as symbols; The hammer and sickle in Russia, the american eagle, a soldier, etc.)
Is there more than one context for the iconographic or symbolic representation of the idea? How many contexts or roles is each symbolic object fulfilling in presenting, adding, or relaying meaning about the subject; (current age vs. past age; multiple metaphors; multiple layers of ideas etc.)
Symbols and Icons in different contexts - define how the symbols and subjects make one idea serve another idea (A Greek god is rebranded and used in Rome. What does this act mean for Rome to use a Greek Religious concept)
What do the symbols mean in the age, or multiple ages, and how are we supposed to connect to them in the context of the work? - ex. How are greco-roman subject and symbols used and perceived in a Renaissance age? Why would someone in the Renaissance care about Ancient Greco-Roman gods and subjects, what’s in it for a Renaissance Italian or Renaissance Italy for that matter?
Analysis through Iconology
This kind of analysis usually is most useful for narrative works and art before the Modern period. Non-objective art or art with arbitrary subjects (such as DADA) don't work as well with this kind of analysis because narratives and conventional symbols are not a part of these works. Here you will look for a particular element that occurs in the object (an object, action, gesture, pose) and explain either:
when that same element occurs in other objects through history and how this object’s representation of it is unique, or
what that element means generally in art or to art historians—in other words, the traditional association an art historian might make between that depiction and some other thing.
The following video provides an example of Iconological analysis. The video speaks to the meaning of the gestures, iconography, meaning of certain types of depiction, and other narrative imagery and symbolism related to those narrative elements. https://youtu.be/rKhfFBbVtFg
If you are confused, read Erwin Panofsky’s essays on iconology and iconography, in which he defines these terms more extensively. Be w.

Cookie Creations (Continued)
Part I
Natalie is struggling to keep up with the recording of her accounting transactions. She is spending a lot of time marketing and selling mixers and giving her cookie classes. Her friend John is an accounting student who runs his own accounting service. He has asked Natalie if she would like to have him do her accounting.
John and Natalie meet and discuss her business. John suggests that he do the tasks listed below for Natalie.
Hold cash until there is enough to be deposited. (He would keep the cash locked up in his vehicle). He would also take all of the deposits to the bank at least twice a month.
Write and sign all of the checks.
Record all of the deposits in the accounting records.
Record all of the checks in the accounting records.
Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation.
Transfer all of Natalie’s manual accounting records to his computer accounting program. (John would maintain all of the accounting information that he keeps for his clients on his laptop computer.)
Prepare monthly financial statements for Natalie to review.
Write himself a check every month for the work he has done for Natalie.
For Part I of the assignment, identify the weaknesses in internal control that you see in the system that John is recommending. Can you suggest any improvements if Natalie hires John to do the accounting?
Part I should be a minimum of two pages in length. Please use APA format. While there are no required resources, please be sure that any sources used have proper citations.
Part II
Natalie decides that she cannot afford to hire John to do her accounting. One way that she can ensure that her cash account does not have any errors and is accurate and up-to-date is to prepare a bank reconciliation at the end of each month. Natalie would like you to help her. She asks you to prepare a bank reconciliation for June 2020 using the information below.
Additionally, take the following information into account.
On June 30th, there were two outstanding checks: #595 for $238 and #604 for $297.
Premier Bank made a posting error to the bank statement: Check #603 was issued for $425, not $452.
The deposit made on June 20 was for $125, which Natalie received for teaching a class. Natalie made an error in recording this transaction.
The electronic funds transfer (EFT) was for Natalie’s cell phone use. Remember that she uses this phone only for business.
The NSF check was from Ron Black. Natalie received this check for teaching a class to Ron’s children. Natalie contacted Ron, and he assured her that she will receive a check in the mail for the outstanding amount of the invoice and the NSF bank charge.
For Part II of the assignment, complete the tasks below.
Prepare Cookie Creations’ bank reconciliation for June 30.
Prepare any necessary adjusting entries at June 30.
If a balance sheet is prepared for Cookie Creations at June 30, what balance will be reported as cash in the Current Asse.
InstructionsCommunities do not exist in a bubble. Often changes .docxmaoanderton
Instructions
Communities do not exist in a bubble. Often changes made in the larger society, driven by technology, have an unexpected effect on local communities. Consider the effects of the advancements in transportation technologies on communities. Routes of transportation have evolved from water to train to the road and then to air. Each of these advancements led to job displacement and changes in travel routes. In the United States, prior to the mid-1800s, the communities that thrived had water access and ports where the exchange of goods and services occurred. With the building of the transcontinental railway and the growth of transportation by rail, the communities that thrived had train depots. With the building of major highways in the 1900s, access to those roads became critical to survival. With each advancement, local communities were impacted, such that many communities that grew around train depots became ghost towns full of poverty, homelessness, and despair once train travel was no longer the primary means of human transportation.

InstructionsBeginning in the 1770s, an Age of Revolution swep.docxmaoanderton
Instructions
Beginning in the 1770s, an “Age of Revolution “ swept through the Atlantic World. These were inspired in different ways by the political and philosophical ideas of the Enlightenment. The goal of every revolution is change, but not every revolution succeeds in creating change that is lasting, or that makes life better for everyone in society. In this milestone, you'll research a revolution and draw some conclusions about that revolution's ultimate outcome.

What were some key events or turning points in this revolution? Be sure to identify at least three key moments, providing factual detail and an explanation for why each moment was significant. (1-2 paragraphs)
Finally, consider, how did this revolution impact various groups of people in different ways -- was this revolution “revolutionary” from everyone’s perspective? (1-2 paragraphs)To answer this, you must consider :
Did everything change, or did some things stay the same?
Did the revolutionaries have limits on how much change they wanted?
Put yourselves in the shoes of those who lived through this revolution - did the revolution bring positive change for everyone, or did some people lose, some people win, and some people come out the same as before?

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
