Research Essay Questions
Writing an essay on the topic of "Research Essay Questions" can be a challenging endeavor. The
difficulty lies not only in the broad scope of potential questions that could be addressed but also
in the need to formulate a well-structured and cohesive piece of academic writing. Crafting a
research essay involves a meticulous process of selecting relevant questions, conducting thorough
literature reviews, and presenting a compelling argument based on evidence and analysis.
One of the challenges is identifying research questions that are both intriguing and feasible to
explore within the given constraints. It requires a deep understanding of the subject matter and
the ability to pinpoint gaps or areas where further investigation is warranted. Additionally, the
researcher must navigate through a vast sea of existing literature to ensure that the questions
being asked haven't already been extensively covered.
The process of constructing a research essay involves synthesizing information from various
sources, integrating diverse perspectives, and presenting a coherent narrative. Developing a
logical flow and ensuring that each section of the essay contributes to the overall argument adds
another layer of complexity.
Furthermore, the essay must adhere to academic conventions, including proper citation of
sources, adherence to a specific style guide, and meeting the prescribed format and length
requirements. These technical aspects require attention to detail and a commitment to
maintaining scholarly integrity.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Research Essay Questions" demands a combination of
research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It is a task that requires dedication,
time, and careful planning to produce a high-quality piece of academic work. For those who find
themselves struggling with such assignments, it's worth exploring resources that offer assistance.

Examples Of Imperialism In Heart Of Darkness
In Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, the imperialism of Africa is described.
Conrad tells the story of the cruel treatment of the natives and of the imperialism of
the Congo region through the perspective of the main character, Marlow. Throughout
the novel, Marlow describes how the Europeans continuously bestow poor treatment
to the native people by enslaving them in their own territory. Analyzing the story with
the New Criticism lens, it is evident that Conrad incorporates numerous literary
devices in Heart of Darkness, including similes, imagery, personification, and
antitheses to describe and exemplify the main idea of cruel imperialism in Africa
discussed throughout the novella.
Throughout Heart of Darkness, Kurtz and other men, who ... Show more content on

Marlow tells his shipmates on the boat (the Nelly) that the natives passed him within
six inches, without a glance, with that complete, deathlike indifference of unhappy
savages (16). Marlow s story of his experience exhibits how the Europeans captured
the natives and forced them to work; to strip their homeland of its resources and
natural beauty. When the Europeans colonize Africa, they do not want to help the
African people, but exploit them and put them to work for their own desire of
obtaining ivory, rubber, and other resources and goods. As the Europeans imperialize
the area, they do not build culture or assist in the development of the Congo region,
but break down culture as they enslave the natives and take away their rights, along
with stripping the area of resources and natural, earthly beauty, which is conveyed
through the cruel physical treatment towards the natives. This treatment is also
presented through the literary devices that Conrad decides to use to reveal the
experiences of the natives to the
Respiratory Syncytical Virus Infection
Qiana Nikki Little was born on February 8, 1992 to Evelyn and Quentine
Little.Only being on this planet for a week something happened, She was laying
down sleep and I knew something was wrong. She was having problems waking
up, said Evelyn. With a very high fever Evelyn and Quentine rushed her to the
hospital. This is where she spent ten days in the hospital; three in ICU and and
seven in a oxygen tank. That s when the family found out that Nikki had a serious
infection called RSV. Respiratory Syncytical Virus, also known as RSV, is a
common infection in children under the age of one. Each year, 75,000 to 125,000
children in this age group are hospitalized in the US due to the infection. Many
children are infected with this by their second birthday, only a small percentage
develops a server case of it, it can also affect adults as well. It is known to appear
between the months of November to April. The infection can pass from person to
person exactly like the common cold. There are two different types and many strains
of RSV. The symptoms are very similar to the symptoms of a cold such as:
A cough
Stuffy or runny nose
Mild sore throat
fever
The first infection is usually the worst when it comes to a child. Some babies and
have a risk of many complications including death from the infection because of the
immune system because of their immune systems not being fully developed. An
adult over the age of sixty five is in high risk of the infection and may cause
Analysis Of Moon Tiger By Penelope Lively
In the excerpt from the novel Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively, a brother and sister
are searching for fossils as their mother watches. When the siblings begin to quarrel
over space to look for fossils, the cliff they are searching gives way and the sister,
Claudia, falls. The excerpt later ends with the children bickering with their exhausted
and embarrassed motherwho is just trying to keep her sanity. This excerpt dramatizes
the complex relationships in between the characters with changes in perspective,
dialog, and diction. In the beginning of the story, we are given Claudia s perspective
of the whole adventure. In the next part we see her brother, Gordon s perspective.
Finally, the piece ends with their mother trying to quell her arguing
Turkey After The Fall Of The Ottoman Empire
After the fall of the Ottoman empire, Turkey received a new identity as Modern
Turkey. With Turkey being home to over 45 different ethnic and religious groups,
this makes it a diverse and unique nation. This goes to show how unity is
important in a diverse country like Turkey for its future success. All of these
contribute to the cultural makeup of this country. Turkey s current population is 78
million. According to a report, 70% of Turkey s youth population will reach
working age by the year 2023. (United Nations 87). This goes to show that right
now there is a very large young population in Turkey that is on the verge of joining
the workforce. This will dramatically affect the economy in Turkey. As it relates to
society, this has great cultural implications, because the next generation will make up
the moral fabric of society.
In order to understand the Turkish youth culture, it is important to first understand
the current political climate in Turkey, because politics can determine the mood of a
country and its culture. Turkey s party system currently consists of four main political
parties, the Justice and Development Party, Republican People s Party, Nationalist
Movement Party, and the Peoples Democratic Party. Each party has a huge political
clout in the country, especially in the specific regions in Turkey. All the parties have
an enormous bulge of youth supporters which contribute greatly.
The Justice and Development party (AKP) became relevant in the Turkish

Three problems i ve been having lately is a work school balance, seeing friends,

specific; my knees are deformed in combination with having spaghetti noodles for

my torso cannot lift much weight. On top of that i have a history of spontaneously

The alternatives to combat this i ve tried are to warn people such as professors and

Ir A Second Largest Gas Producer On The World With
Gas...
Iran has stated a goal to remain the third largest gas producer in the world with gas
production of 360 billion cubic meters / year by 2025. The European Union will be
able to assist Iran with this goal as the expansion of the upstream gas production will
require investment and technology from European and international companies. Iran
has also expressed interest in injecting gas into the oil fields in order to maintain and
increase oil production. EU companies can offer efficient solutions to increase the
recovery rates of Iranian oil fields and hence help Iran produce more efficiently.
Another promising indicator of Iran s economic potential is its human capital.
The population [of Iran] is 73 percent urban, a percentage similar to those of most
industrialized countries....
And that urban population is well educated. Iran s literacy rate is 87 percent
overall and 98 percent for those between the ages of 15 and 24. Of the roughly 4.4
million students enrolled in universities, 60 percent were women as of the 2012 13
school year, and some 44 percent are majoring in one of the stem fields (science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics). After Russia and the United States, Iran
is the world s fifth largest producer of graduates in engineering (reliable statistics for
China and India are not available, but it is likely that they occupy slots one and two)
although the education they receive in Iran is not always of the highest quality. Still,

Character Analysis Of Krebs In Soldier s Home

Krebs
Throughout Soldier s Home , the author establishes Kreb s character to be dishonest,
languid, and emotionally disconnected. To begin, Krebs originally has a tendency to
lie about and embellish his experiences in the war because he feels a sense of
inadequacy. Krebs also lies to avoid ramifications, and he continues to do so
throughout the entire story. When the author describes Krebs disposition towards
women, it is obvious that he is languorous and lethargic not only in regards to
courting women but also in regards to his daily life. When faced with typically
emotional situations later in the story, Krebs remains unemotional, but he reacts
primarily to appease others with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Krebs interacts with others, he tends to be insensitive towards the other
person; even Kreb s own mother was not an exception to this trend. Although Krebs
does not show obvious signs of sentiment or love towards his sister, there is an
underlying sense of affection when he interacts with her. This apparently abnormal
behavior indicates that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Krebs.
Perhaps the reader is missing necessary information that would allow him/her to
understand Krebs contradictory nature, and this information is to be fabricated by the
reader himself/herself. Regardless, Krebs is not a flat character because there is an
element about his persona that contradicts itself, thus making him a more complex

Queen Isabella
Queen Isabella once said, I will assume the undertaking for my own crown of
Castile, and am ready to pawn my jewels to defray the expenses of it, if the funds in
the treasury should be found inadequate. She may be most famous for funding
Christopher Columbus on his expedition to the New World, but she was so much
more than the provider of that trip. She had a complicated childhood and became a
great ruler. Isabella I of Castile, was born April 22, 1451, she was half Spanish and
half Portuguese. Isabella s mother was not cared about even though Isabella s father
was of royal status. Since there was already an heir to the throne, Isabella s half
brother, Enrique, no one cared much about Isabella s birth or baptism. Isabella s

After Alfonso s death Isabella was not sure if she would be able to rule Spain as a
woman. Many people doubted and even her herself doubted. Enrique and Alfonso
were planning on arranging a marriage for Isabella eventually, but Isabella had her
interest somewhere else. Living as a woman, Isabella wanted equality and equity
for women. In the book it says, Issues that affected women were always of
particular interest to Isabella, and gender relations also colored the perceptions of
people living in Spain. All three great faiths Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
honored women in certain ways but were also patriarchal and made women second
class citizens in other significant ways. (p 22) When there was a possibility for
Isabella to become queen she wanted to truly impact the way things in her world
ran. Enrique eventually accepted that Isabella as his heir and announced it to the
kingdom. Even though Isabella was often alone there was a time where Enrique
sent her to another town where Isabella was considered a stranger. In the book,
Isabella the Warrior Queen it says, It is just as likely that the marital alliance was
Enrique s attempt to remove Isabella from the direct line of succession in Castile
and relocate her to a distant land. (p 47) Luckily, Gonzalo and his nephew were
around which helped her mood. Being surrounded by friends is always helpful after

The Education Of Cyrus By Cyrus
In the Education of Cyrus, the historian Xenophon tells of the account of Cyrus rise
to power and the education that helped him reach this goal. Cyrus dual upbringing
in both the frugal Persian and extravagant Median cultures, gave him an
understanding of the world unique to both. This education made him a strong
leader with knowledge accumulated from the strengths of both societies, but what
exactly did Cyrus do that made him so successful? The following essay will
explore the deeds that allowed him to be successful, including ensuring the
preparedness of his troops, giving the gods their dues, outwitting his enemies, and
retaining the love and support of his allies. Cyrus father Cambyses taught Cyrus the
most important aspect of Cyrus education, the lesson to always take care never to
delay providing provisions, and always remain prepared for both good and bad
situations. Cambyses taught that a prepared leader set a strong example for those
under their command and maintained the respect of both enemies and allies alike.
After receiving his mission to aid the Medesagainst the Assyrians, Cyrus sought to
gather the provisions necessary for a potential prolonged campaign. After some
consideration Cyrus wisely decided against relying on Cyaxares to be the sole
supplier of his army. He feared the possibility that Cyaxares might not have the ability
to provide for his army or that Cyaxares was lying about his willingness to do so.

The Help Character Analysis
Did you know that when you were a girl, growing up, that one day you d be a
maid? Yes ma am. Yes I did (Stockett 169). The Help by Kathryn Stockett is a story
about Aibileen Clark, a black housemaid, and Eugenia, Skeeter Phelan, coming
together to write a novel about how black maids are treated good and bad by their
white employers in their hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. Aibileen shows a lot of
change throughout the story, evolving from reserved, to progressive, and finally, to
content.
The first character trait Aibileen shows is being reserved. Elizabeth Leefolt, who
is Aibileen s employer, was discussing with her best friend, Hilly Holbrook, about
how colored people residing in white households should have to have to use white
bathrooms. Aibileen overhears this, and is angered, she strongly disagrees with
segregation. I m surprised by how tight my throat get. It s a shame I learned to keep
down a long time ago (Stockett 10). This quote reveals how Aibileen has been
treated by others in the past. She holds her tongue because she knows that speaking

explains herself. A course we different! Everybody know white and colored people
ain t the same. But we still just people (Stockett 218). This quote reveals how
Aibileen feels about how colored people are treated in Jackson. She is speaking
out on her opinion that while white and colored people have differences, they are
all still people. She has evolved from being reserved because she speaks out when she

Engaged Pedagogy Research Paper
Engaged pedagogy focused on rethinking teaching practices and is more demanding
than conventional critical or feminist pedagogy (15) meaning there is no one correct
strategy to teach a class because freedom in learning build students interests in the
subject differently and focus on the welfare of pupils. I would like to add that
engaged pedagogy is the framework of teaching to stimulate learners how to
participate in collaborative learningand acquire critical consciousness. Collaboration
in the classroom makes learning environment more relaxing and exciting for students
to participate. When students feel safe in their learning environment, they become
comfortable to participate with their peers and trust their instructor. Critics have...

Hook challenged the rote learning approach and banking system because she feels
pupils would not be liberated in their learning process. Rote learning approach and
banking system might succeed in mainstream classroom but it won t succeed for
students with disabilities. Students with disabilities will struggle in their learning
process because teacher teaches the same for all students. Hook (1995) s
conscientization theory became inspired from Friere s theory where education
became the practice of freedom. Consccientization theory is a strategy to include
all pupils to become an active participant in their critical thinking and class
discussions. Hook s (Hook) theory aligns with Friere s work because they
confirmed that education can only be liberatory when everyone claims knowledge
as a field in which we all labor (14). Engaged pedagogy placed value on students
participation and demonstrate their own interpretation of their skill at reading
comprehension and analyzing texts instead of only taking down notes from their
instructor. Students become an active participator in their learn process ad contribute
in their classroom. Hook (1994) emulated and employed most of teaching concepts
of literacy and consciousness from Friere. Hook (1994) aimed to diffused hierarchy
in the classroom and created a place of liberating to expand learning for both
instructor and pupils to work together in partnership. Hook s ideas about praxis have
resonated with me about critical awareness and how literacy growth instilled writers
empowerment rather than advocating one s authority. Throughout school years, my
weakest point is writing but I understood the context and yet, I struggled to express in
words. I learned writing through authoritarian forms of education, but her thought on

The investigator was self trained and calibrated before the study and during the
course of study. Data recording was done by a recorder who had been trained and

examinations were conducted at baseline, after three months and at the end of the
study. The related kappa values were 0.84, 0.92 and 0.94, respectively.
Study outcomes
The oral examinations were performed at baseline, 3 months and 6 months. At the
baseline examination, personal information of the subjects was recorded in a
specially prepared pro forma. The children were examined on a chair by the
investigator under natural light using mouth mirror and explorer/probe. Reducion in
PlI score was considered as the primary outcome and difference in GI scores between
four groups was the secondary outcome. At each intraoral examination, presence of
plaque and gingivitis was determined using the criteria suggested by Loe H.17 PlI
and GI scores were recorded on all surfaces (mesial, distal, buccal, palatal/lingual)
of all the teeth. The scores from the four areas of the tooth were added and divided
by four to give the PlI/GI for the tooth. PlI and GI for the individual is obtained by
adding the indices for the teeth and dividing by the number of teeth examined.

The Immigration s Political Policy
Introduction to Political Science POSC 201.400 1042 Cedric Hynson Government
Politics A. Y. Zohny, LL. M., Ph.D. Coppin State University 1/00/2016 The
Immigration s Political Policies have gone through great political changes since the
turn of the 20th century for many countries. The legal and moral issues within these
countries like Syria, Mexico, Germany, Ireland and other countries concerning
immigration have been debated and continue to be debated through the political
views within the government each and every day. Individuals within the political
realm who believe that it is morally wrong for a country to deny immigration status
argue that immigration promotes democracy, egalitarianism and libertarianism but on
the other hand, people who believe that countries have every right to deny individuals
who seek immigration argue that immigration taints the cultural roots of a country,
weakens national security and reduces the natural resources that would have been
distributed to the original citizens of that country. We as a society have seen many
political views that have contributed to these political policies changes, such as
political problems within the government, lack of jobs for the people, poverty, and
homeland issues within each country. Many of the countries that are greatly affected
by these problems continue to change over the years within the immigration laws but
the problems themselves continue to exist today. It continues

I Have an Advantage; Why?
In today s world, perhaps one of the largest debates among human beings is
privilege and gender equality. In both Macklemore s White privilege II , and Michael
Kimmel s Why Gender Equality is Good for Everyone, Men Included , the authors
evidently explained what white privileges are, how white privilege effects
individuals of different race, and how gender equality can benefit men and women in
their household and in the workplace. In Macklemore s song he attempted to
understand his place in black culture, specifically related to hip hop music and
Black Lives Matter protests. While in Michael Kimmel s speech he attempted to
explain white privilege and the benefits of gender equality for women as well as
men by using stories of past experiences. When critically analyzing the strengths
and weaknesses of both author s tones, evidence, and overall strength of the body
of work, I am boldly convinced that Michael Kimmel s speech is essentially the
superior of the two authors. Though Macklemore s song was relevant and had great
connections to our everyday life, the author was very aggressive and lacked any
source of credible evidence to his observations. Michael Kimmel s speech did exhibit
evidence, but it was often questionable. However, he does displayed great tone by
appealing to humor, was very entertaining by keeping his audience eagerly intact, and
communicated relevant stories
Relationship Between Perfectionism And Team Performance
Identification of the study
The research study employs a qualitative method of data collection to get a glimpse of
the behaviors of the phenomenon under investigation. The study relied heavily on
observation, filling out of questionnaires, and stated behaviors of the participants on a
voluntary basis. In addition, it was utilized to achieve an intensive understanding of
the relationship between perfectionism and team performance in sport. The method
was advantageous in that it is purely aimed at the participant s individual class of
meaning, thereby providing a better understanding of personal experiences of the
phenomena while at the same time describing in rich details how the phenomena are
embedded and situated in different contexts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The study tended to consider the team level for the theoretical meaning of
perfectionism when transposed.
According to the article, few researches have investigated the relationship of
perfectionism performance in sport. For instance, Stoeber argues that researches have
not conducted the study on perfectionism in sports in single units. Thus, the present
study aimed at investigating its influence in romantic couples.
Primary question(s) posed by the researcher(s).
The primary question posed by the researcher is how to evaluate the relationship
between perfectionism and team performance in sports. The study is aimed at
investigating how other oriented, self oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism
influenced performance of the team while competing in sports. Adapting Hewitt and
Flett, a change was anticipated in both team oriented and other oriented perfectionism
while self oriented was expected to remain the same.
Primary Questions
How does perfectionism influence team performance in sports?
Hypotheses
H1o. No relationship between team performance and perfectionism
H1a. A relationship exists between performance and perfectionism
Variables measured by the authors measured to complete the study
The study employed rowers and boats in a competition. The research used a design of
correlation where perfectionism of the rowers was measured before the competition
began while the measurement of team performance took place during the entire
period of competition.
I Was A New Coach
It was one in the morning but I could not stop now, I refreshed the page again, again
and again. My leg was involuntarily bouncing and my eyes were burning but I wanted
to know badly, it was agonizing. I was on vacation and the results from soccer
tryouts, which were a couple weeks ago were going to be posted soon. The elite team
I had always been apart of had a new coach, who was renowned for having success. I
was so ready to win, and my old team was inadequate. My blinks became longer and I
refreshed the page a few more times before I couldn t open my eyes. When I woke up

Dad and headed towards my new team. The nervousness receded as I saw some old

too soon the chatter of the group died down and the coach, a small fit man
approached us. He told us to run two miles in under fourteen minutes, which was
about six laps around the field. So with no further discussion the group set off at a
grueling pace, happy to race each other. We ran as a unit and I became comfortable
with the rhythm of their thumping feet. I was content that I was able to keep up,
considering they had already been practicing for a while. Soon our group was

I was falling behind the group and I imagined disapproval from the distant
foreboding figure of the coach, so I tried harder. I gasped with renewed vigor and
with each exhalation I puffed out with extreme effort. Not even after a minute my

Environmental Movements in the United States Essay
The United States has earned the reputation of a rebellious country since its birth in
the revolution against Britain. Over the course of history, Americans have repeatedly
confronted oppression, both foreign and national, through various wars and rights
movements. Unfortunately, when it comes to environmental issues the average
American has grown increasingly complacent. With a renewed urgency, government
is working to combat global warming, but lacks the necessary social backing. This
social support could be supplied through a new environmental movement that differs
from past efforts. Throughout American history there have been three categories of
environmental movements: preservation, conservation, and modern reform, all of

make these national parks existent, but also developed into part of the rational use
philosophy that guided environmental policy of the conservation era. The
conservation movement coincided with the progressive political era of the late
1800s and early 1900s. Significant figures of this time were George Perkins Marsh
and Gifford Pinchot, both who played predominant roles in shaping the rational use
policy by calling for simultaneous protection of natural resources and ability to use
them for economic purposes. Marsh, an intellectual Vermont native, wrote on the
vital interconnection between humans and nature, calling for a taming or command
of nature, believing it was important to weigh results and act accordingly ( George
Perkins Marsh: Renaissance Vermonter ). As a professional forester, Pinchot held
similar environmental values, boldly declaring the object of our forest policy is not
to preserve the forests because they are refuges for the wild creatures of the
wilderness, but the making of prosperous homes...Use must be the test by which the

How Tinnitus Is Defined As A Symptom A Perception Of
Sound
Tinnitus is defined as a symptom a perception of sound which is not relative to any
external stimulus where an individual perceives ringing, bussing and other sounds in
varying durations of episodes which can be continuous, intermittent or pulsatile in a
range of frequency and intensities which are often unable to be masked by external
sounds. Tinnitusaffects approximately 5 15% of the western adult population with 1
2% of the population to a debilitating degree (Schlee et al,. 2011).
Tinnitus can be separated into two categories, subjective tinnitus shows no objective
sound and is only heard by the patient, Objective tinnitus is the less common type
which can often be heard by an observer by stethoscope as it is caused by
conductions such as turbulence and pulsation of muscle spasms in body tissues such
as middle ear, Eustachian tube or soft palate. Currently, there is no FDA or EMA
approved drugs on the market for this specific purpose. (Langguth and Elgoyhen,
2012) Many studies have been carried out to find a successful pharmacological
treatment for tinnitus but had critical flaws in their design and methods; Some fail to
adopt the correct analytical method to measure their outcomes which affect their
external validity, four studies have been chosen each addressing different treatments
using single or combination of drugs for analysis in their methodology and
experimental design .

I Don t A Good President
When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him,
I don t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the
united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been
elected into an office of any kind. He s never had to broker political compromise or
gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in
politics at all, why would people think he d make a good president? Sure, Donald
Trumpis a barefaced self promoter and experienced businessman. But people don t
realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not
a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless
decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into,
and also getting multiple things done within the nation s capital takes more than a
huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president,
he ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House
of Representatives and Senate. He ll also have to get used to the pace of
government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly
and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He ll also have to get used
to giving speeches on topics he may not be interested in, especially when it comes to
conversations dealing with housing for the poor, education and various farming
contributions. Being
Tiger Woods Essay
Tiger Woods was born with the name Eldrick Woods on December 30, 1975, in
Orlando, Florida. Early on, Tiger s parents, Earl and Kultilda Woods, introduced
their only child to the sport he has come to dominate, giving him a sawed off putter
to practice with as soon as he could stand up on his own. At the age of 8, he won the
first of six Optimist International Junior World Titles. After perhaps the most
remarkable amateur career ever he won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships in
1991, 1992, and 1993, and the U.S. Amateur title in 1994, 1995, and 1996 and two

True to form, Woods only got better in 2000, when he capped off an impressive
first half of the year by winning his third major, the 2000 U.S. Open, in Pebble
Beach, California. The No.1 ranked player in the world, Woods outclassed the
competition by a record margin, winning the tournament by 15 strokes and breaking
the standard for a major tournament set by Tom Morris at the 1862 British Open. In
July 2000, Woods won the British Open, becoming at 24 the youngest player ever to
win all four major titles: the PGA Championship, the Masters, the U.S. Open, and the
British Open. A month later, he successfully defended his 1999 title at the PGA
Championship in a playoff victory, becoming only the second player (after Ben Hogan
in 1953) to win three major titles in one year. He won the Canadian Open, his fifth
tournament of the summer (out of the seven that he played), in September.

union entirely).

How Did Martin Luther Reflect The Beliefs Of The
Catholic...
During the Renaissance, Catholicism and the Catholic Church were very important. It
was important because many people cared about the religion. They thought that if
they were dedicated enough to the Catholic Church it would determine if they would
be able to have a spot in heaven. Another reason, people wanted to reform the church.
They wanted to reform the church because they wanted to change the practices and
how it should be handled. The final important reason is that there was a conflict
between the Catholic Churchand the protestant church. It led to war and persecution
because of the different beliefs the two religions had. Most of the religion was based
on Christianity, but it was also a part of Catholicism which was all of Western Europe.
The popewas the main person in church and he was thought as the leader or the
inspiration of the church. The church wanted to be superior by having lots of power

Luther also believed that there was never a good enough way to get spot in heaving

popes and the priests had no worthy power in the holy church. He also believed he
could reform the church through education. This is why Luther took his ideas to the

about faith and allowed people could redeem themselves by doing good works.
Luther s ideas spread around Germany and Europe. Once his ideas spread throughout

Summary OfThe Yellow Pill Short Story
Sanity is in the mind of the beholder; one man s reality may not be the reality of
everyone. This becomes a sticking point when two men meet in either a
psychiatrist s office or in the depth of space in the short story The Yellow Pill.
Since both men cannot be in reality, the story takes place in a comfortable office
based on evidence from the story. Throughout the story, Mr. Elton talks with
Gerald Bocek in his office about the details of Jerry s crime. It is at the end of each
conversation they have in the office that proves them to be on Earth. Mr. Elton
tells the police officers to take Gerald out of his office and back to the mental
ward. For example, after their first conversation Mr. Elton says, All right, take him
away. Bring him back the same time tomorrow. The two officers pushed him
firmly toward the door. The officers taking Gerald out of his office every time they
talk shows that they are on Earth and not in space. Gerald would die immediately
if he was taken outside of a spaceship, because of the lack of atmospheric pressure
and oxygen. Gerald also comes back into Mr. Elton s office each day which means
he couldn t have died in space, which would be caused from leaving a spaceship
every time Mr. Elton and him talk. In the story Mr. Elton is discussing the
problems about Gerald Bocek with Helena, but before they had started talking
Gerald had told Mr. Elton to take a pill and that nothing bad would happen. During
Mr. Elton s conversation with Helena he says, I took one three years ago when
they first became available. You d be surprised how little you actually see of what
you look at, especially of people. You look at symbols instead. I had to cancel my
appointments for a week. Mr. Elton is proving that the pills blurred his sense of
reality. This shows that the pills cause hallucination and the reality Gerald is living
in is a messed up reality, furthering the argument for why they are on Earth.
Towards the end of the story after Mr. Elton has taken the yellow pill and Gerald
ejected himself from what they considered the airlock. When Gerald had ejected
himself it is described as, Jerry s chest quickly expanded, then collapsed as a mixture
of phlegm and blood dribbled from his
Consequences Of Pollution
People have heard of pollution, but what some don t know is that there are many
types of pollution. Pollution can have different consequences depending on what
kind there is. In the world so far there are only nine types of pollution that have been
recognized. Although this can be negative to the world it s also affecting the health of
people as well. In order to understand what pollutioncan do to you and the world you
need to know the types that are causing the harm.
The first type is air pollution. This type can be harm to the world by contaminating
the atmosphere. It can come in matter like dust or excessive gases such as carbon
dioxide or vapors that can t be removed through nature that not even the cycles can
remove them such as the carbon cycle and the nitrogen cycle. Vehicles, forest fires,
volcanic eruptions, dry soil erosion, building construction or demolition and other
natural sources are another cause of air pollution. Although there isn t much of
volcanic eruptions or dry soil erosions those are the ones that seem to be the most
dangerous for other parts of the world while the rest are more common. Study
shows that science prove that they believe global warming is also a way to increase
the air pollution. The largest source of nitrogen is in the atmosphere. Without
nitrogen in the atmosphere the crops can be lost and would affect farmers. If the
farmers are affected there won t be as much crop production to be sold anywhere and
the government would have to
Computer Input Technologies By Alan Turing
Computer Input Technologies
Introduction The interaction between humans and the machine is a relatively new
science. When considering how the inputs to a computer started out, it is interesting
to observe just how little has changed. For example, the QWERTY keyboard as part
of the typewriter invented in the 1870s(2) far predates the concept of the modern
digital computer as described by Alan Turing in 1936(3). Our tools to interact with
our own machines have however been refined to be more convenient for the average
user with interfaces such as optimised USB and layout studied for ergonomy. In
recent years, input technologies have not only been improved but brand new ones
have emerged like motion control for example. The future is bright ... Show more

Furthermore, trackballs are still quite common as scrollwheels in computer mouse
devices. Interestingly, the invention of the computer ball mouse in 1968 sprang
directly from the invention of the trackball. In a sense, the ball mouse is a
reversed version of the same device. The trackball rolls on the surface instead of
the user s hands, however the tracking operates in the same way(1). This innovation
in existing technology meant that the handheld type design would later be
upgraded as newer technologies took its place. Today, the ball mouse has been
largely replaced by the optical and laser mouse. These types of mouse devices use
LEDs to emit light onto the surface on which it sits, the reflected light is analysed by
a set of photodiodes. Whether the mouse is laser or not depends on if the LEDs emit
coherent light (laser) or not (optical). The main drawback of the optical mouse is that
they only function on opaque and matte surfaces as they depend on the light
reflecting the surfaces imperfections. The precision however is much improved from
the ball mouse. Furthermore, less moving parts means more durability. The mouse
really opened up the horizon for user interface navigation making it a key turning
point in the history of input technologies.

Tort Negligence Case Study
No, because there are excessively many acts of interfering negligence on the part of
the landlord. According to Tort law, it applies when one party neglect to act sensibly
and hurt happens, despite the fact that the person did not plan to cause hurt; the
gathering is at risk for any wounds or harms endured by another gathering because of
the absurd direct (Melvin,2015). However, this class of tort is called negligence. The
essential contrast between purposeful torts and carelessness is the outlook of the
tortfeasor. At the point when a tortfeasor makes hurt a harmed party by making an
absurd danger of mischief, the law gives the harmed party a cure paying little
respect to the tortfeasor s purpose. The Restatements likewise perceive certain
protections that might be stated in a negligence case. Factors of negligence the law
requires that particular components be demonstrated with a specific end goal to
recuperate in a claim against a tortfeasor for carelessness. The harmed party must
demonstrate five major components by noting certain inquiries regarding the lead
being referred to; Duty to find if tortfeasor owes an obligation of care to the harmed
party? Breach of obligation: Did the tortfeasor neglect to practice sensible care?
Cause actually: Except for the rupture of obligation by the tortfeasor, would the
harmed party have endured harms?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

May 13, 2016, the Obama Administration sent thousands of letters to public schools
defending transgender rights. This sparked a national debate over bathroom laws
determining if transgender individuals should be allowed to use the public bathroom
or locker room of their choice. People are divided on the issues of what bathroom or
locker room transgenderpeople utilize as some believe that they should use the
bathroom based on their biological sex while others believe that they should use the
bathroom corresponding to their genderidentity. Some people are against the usage
of bathrooms based on gender identity feeling that it would be better to have usage
based on the gender listed on birth certificates or single stall unisex bathrooms. Many
people claim that perverts, peeping toms, and rapists could abuse the law in order to

The Cultural Environment Of Today s Society
This work will analyse and consider the cultural environment in which we are all
subjected to in today s society. Culture doesn t have just one meaning, they vary
depending on where you live, how you live, how you been taught, religion, language
and many others. These are just some of the factors of that create the diversification
of specific types of culture, that we all have to adapt too even if you look at
individualism and collectivism. Businesses of today, also have to changethe way they
operate, to suit and operate effectively depending on where they want to situate
themselves, otherwise problems could arise
Culture can be recognised for nor right or wrong in today s society. We ve become
as a human race influenced by various avenues and ideas of how things should be
done. We all have an ideology that the society we have been bought up is the
correct fashion of which others should follow suit, but that not the case in some
instances. Culture is the shared values of beliefs, values and normality of how
people and businesses should act on in the environment of which we are surrounded
by. This doesn t mean as an individual one has to follow but in some cases as a sign
of respect you ll just have too.
Culture may not be right or wrong but just a matter of opinion, not truth. Society
changes all the time, when society changes the culture does too. 10 years ago the
culture of which we live in used to be completely different. In that space of time we
have changed the way we
The Sugar Of Sugar And Sugar
Percent Sugar Lab
Purpose: To determine the percent of sugar in soda, produce, or other grocery product.
Introduction: Every day people eat food to provide them with nutrients that they need
to survive. Food supplies a person with energy, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and
minerals they need for life. But do people consider how much sugar is in the food and
drinks they ingest? In this lab the student calculated the amount of sugar found in
foods and drinks they ingested every day to find that they were consuming too much
sugar. In addition to this task, the student was then able to target the food or drinks
that they were consuming that had the most sugar, the foods or drinks that they
should eat or drink less of.
Procedure: The nutritional facts from actual items found in the kitchen or grocery
store were used to calculate the percent of sugar in food and drinks. Three drinks,
fruits or vegetables, and four other food products were chosen by the student. The
student collected the information about these items using the nutritional facts found
on the package. The ten items were recorded in the data table below. The mass of one

Assess The Difference Between Developmental Psychology...
Psychology is the study of the behavior and mental processes of all living organisms.
In psychology, different perspectives are made in order for us to have a better
understanding of the different changes and behavior humans will undertake
throughout their life. These theories help contribute to the study of human growth
and development and provide us with a better understanding. They can be sorted into
continuous or discontinuous, one course or many courses of development, and nature
or nurture. In developmental psychologycontinuity and discontinuity are two theories
that compete to try and explain how individuals change throughout their lives. The
continuity theory says that someone changes for the duration of their life along a
smooth course whereas the discontinuity theory instead claims that people change
abruptly. A development theory is one course when it is believed that there is one
universal common path for all people across all places and cultures. On the other
hand, a development theory with many courses is stated to have specific stages for
specific individuals across specific contexts. Lastly, the nature theory argues that we
are born the way we are and genetics determine who we are and who we will become.
The nurture theory argues that outside influences such as society determines... Show

the objectives to be achieved. It also helps the company to know where they are,
where they want to be and how they want to get there. With the help of marketing
plan, it will allow them to know how selling their product allows them to reach a
profitable growth in the long term. Target Audience Marks and Spence targets
customers with all age groups as well as all genders who have a passion for
fashion. Nowadays, customers have grown a great interest on having healthy diets
and ethically produced goods (Baker, 2015). As a result, M S should focus on ways
to attract their customers by producing goods and clothes ethically. This will allow
the brand image to expand since customers would be seeing it as a better choice as it
will be seen harmless to the environment. In addition, M S should consider focusing
on the younger generations as once Nelson Mandela had said they are the children of
the future . Therefore, younger generations are the ones who spread brands the fastest
by wearing them and advertising them among their peers.

Generational Conflict In Father And Son By Ivan
Sergeevich...
Culture is the sum of attitudes, customs, and beliefs that distinguishes one group of
people from another. Culture is transmitted, through language, material objects, ritual,
institutions, and art, from one generation to the next. Because the processes of
cultural formation are all different, culture is very diverse, for example; human culture
, national culture, generation culture, and familyculture. Since there are various
cultures, cultural conflicts arise. These cultural conflicts can be easily seen around us
as other forms of conflict. The best example of cultural conflict is generational
conflict. Because each generation is different in the process of formation, each
generation has its own culture. If the generations are different, they do not understand
their culture. That is why the generational conflict happens. Ivan Sergeevich
Turgenev s novel, Father and Son, is a Russian novel that focuses on the generational
conflict, with a detailed observation of the ideological conflicts in the upheaval
Russia. The most common conflict between conservatism and progressivism is

slave trade were transforming. The harshness of the slave system was being proven
by the many slave suicides, runaways, first hand stories, and rebellions. Rousseau
spread the idea in his writings of personal liberty and equality of all men, which

Research Essay Questions. Help with Writing Essay Questions: Types and Examples

  • 1. Research Essay Questions Writing an essay on the topic of "Research Essay Questions" can be a challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the broad scope of potential questions that could be addressed but also in the need to formulate a well-structured and cohesive piece of academic writing. Crafting a research essay involves a meticulous process of selecting relevant questions, conducting thorough literature reviews, and presenting a compelling argument based on evidence and analysis. One of the challenges is identifying research questions that are both intriguing and feasible to explore within the given constraints. It requires a deep understanding of the subject matter and the ability to pinpoint gaps or areas where further investigation is warranted. Additionally, the researcher must navigate through a vast sea of existing literature to ensure that the questions being asked haven't already been extensively covered. Marlow tells his shipmates on the boat (the Nelly) that the natives passed him within six inches, without a glance, with that complete, deathlike indifference of unhappy savages (16). Marlow s story of his experience exhibits how the Europeans captured the natives and forced them to work; to strip their homeland of its resources and natural beauty. When the Europeans colonize Africa, they do not want to help the African people, but exploit them and put them to work for their own desire of obtaining ivory, rubber, and other resources and goods. As the Europeans imperialize the area, they do not build culture or assist in the development of the Congo region, but break down culture as they enslave the natives and take away their rights, along with stripping the area of resources and natural, earthly beauty, which is conveyed through the cruel physical treatment towards the natives. This treatment is also presented through the literary devices that Conrad decides to use to reveal the experiences of the natives to the

The legal and moral issues within these countries like Syria, Mexico, Germany, Ireland and other countries concerning immigration have been debated and continue to be debated through the political views within the government each and every day. Individuals within the political realm who believe that it is morally wrong for a country to deny immigration status argue that immigration promotes democracy, egalitarianism and libertarianism but on the other hand, people who believe that countries have every right to deny individuals who seek immigration argue that immigration taints the cultural roots of a country, weakens national security and reduces the natural resources that would have been distributed to the original citizens of that country. We as a society have seen many political views that have contributed to these political policies changes, such as political problems within the government, lack of jobs for the people, poverty, and homeland issues within each country. In both Macklemore s White privilege II , and Michael Kimmel s Why Gender Equality is Good for Everyone, Men Included , the authors evidently explained what white privileges are, how white privilege effects individuals of different race, and how gender equality can benefit men and women in their household and in the workplace. In Macklemore s song he attempted to understand his place in black culture, specifically related to hip hop music and Black Lives Matter protests. While in Michael Kimmel s speech he attempted to explain white privilege and the benefits of gender equality for women as well as men by using stories of past experiences. When critically analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of both author s tones, evidence, and overall strength of the body of work, I am boldly convinced that Michael Kimmel s speech is essentially the superior of the two authors. Though Macklemore s song was relevant and had great connections to our everyday life, the author was very aggressive and lacked any source of credible evidence to his observations. Michael Kimmel s speech did exhibit evidence, but it was often questionable. However, he does displayed great tone by appealing to humor, was very entertaining by keeping his audience eagerly intact, and communicated relevant stories

My leg was involuntarily bouncing and my eyes were burning but I wanted to know badly, it was agonizing. The nervousness receded as I saw some old teammates. I set my bag down and waited, standing off to the side of team. Almost too soon the chatter of the group died down and the coach, a small fit man approached us. He told us to run two miles in under fourteen minutes, which was about six laps around the field. So with no further discussion the group set off at a grueling pace, happy to race each other. We ran as a unit and I became comfortable with the rhythm of their thumping feet. I was content that I was able to keep up, considering they had already been practicing for a while. Soon our group was increasingly linear and I found myself unsurprisingly, near the back. My very bones hurt, rattling as my aching legs continued on purely by effort. I desperately sucked in breath but my throat was tight and it was not enough. I tried again, and again but my airway was even smaller. It was as if I was in a raging river, moving downstream quickly helplessly trying to stay afloat, completely out of control. Now I was falling behind the group and I imagined disapproval from the distant foreboding figure of the coach, so I tried harder. I gasped with renewed vigor and with each exhalation I puffed out with extreme effort. Not even after a minute my pace had

Over the course of history, Americans have repeatedly confronted oppression, both foreign and national, through various wars and rights movements. Unfortunately, when it comes to environmental issues the average American has grown increasingly complacent. With a renewed urgency, government is working to combat global warming, but lacks the necessary social backing. The conservation movement coincided with the progressive political era of the late 1800s and early 1900s. Significant figures of this time were George Perkins Marsh and Gifford Pinchot, both who played predominant roles in shaping the rational use policy by calling for simultaneous protection of natural resources and ability to use them for economic purposes. Marsh, an intellectual Vermont native, wrote on the vital interconnection between humans and nature, calling for a taming or command of nature, believing it was important to weigh results and act accordingly ( George Perkins Marsh: Renaissance Vermonter ). How Tinnitus Is Defined As A Symptom A Perception Of Sound Tinnitus is defined as a symptom a perception of sound which is not relative to any external stimulus where an individual perceives ringing, bussing and other sounds in varying durations of episodes which can be continuous, intermittent or pulsatile in a range of frequency and intensities which are often unable to be masked by external sounds. Tinnitusaffects approximately 5 15% of the western adult population with 1 2% of the population to a debilitating degree (Schlee et al,. 2011). Tinnitus can be separated into two categories, subjective tinnitus shows no objective sound and is only heard by the patient, Objective tinnitus is the less common type which can often be heard by an observer by stethoscope as it is caused by conductions such as turbulence and pulsation of muscle spasms in body tissues such as middle ear, Eustachian tube or soft palate. Currently, there is no FDA or EMA approved drugs on the market for this specific purpose. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. This becomes a sticking point when two men meet in either a psychiatrist s office or in the depth of space in the short story The Yellow Pill. Since both men cannot be in reality, the story takes place in a comfortable office based on evidence from the story. Throughout the story, Mr. Elton talks with Gerald Bocek in his office about the details of Jerry s crime. It is at the end of each conversation they have in the office that proves them to be on Earth. Mr. Elton tells the police officers to take Gerald out of his office and back to the mental ward. For example, after their first conversation Mr. Elton says, All right, take him away. Bring him back the same time tomorrow. The two officers pushed him firmly toward the door. The officers taking Gerald out of his office every time they talk shows that they are on Earth and not in space. Gerald would die immediately if he was taken outside of a spaceship, because of the lack of atmospheric pressure and oxygen. Gerald also comes back into Mr. Elton s office each day which means he couldn t have died in space, which would be caused from leaving a spaceship every time Mr. Elton and him talk. In the story Mr. Elton is discussing the problems about Gerald Bocek with Helena, but before they had started talking Gerald had told Mr. Elton to take a pill and that nothing bad would happen. During Mr. Elton s conversation with Helena he says, I took one three years ago when they first became available. You d be surprised how little you actually see of what you look at, especially of people. You look at symbols instead. I had to cancel my appointments for a week. Mr. Elton is proving that the pills blurred his sense of reality. This shows that the pills cause hallucination and the reality Gerald is living in is a messed up reality, furthering the argument for why they are on Earth. Towards the end of the story after Mr. Elton has taken the yellow pill and Gerald ejected himself from what they considered the airlock. When Gerald had ejected himself it is described as, Jerry s chest quickly expanded, then collapsed as a mixture of phlegm and blood dribbled from his

When considering how the inputs to a computer started out, it is interesting to observe just how little has changed. For example, the QWERTY keyboard as part of the typewriter invented in the 1870s(2) far predates the concept of the modern digital computer as described by Alan Turing in 1936(3). Our tools to interact with our own machines have however been refined to be more convenient for the average user with interfaces such as optimised USB and layout studied for ergonomy. Furthermore, trackballs are still quite common as scrollwheels in computer mouse devices. Interestingly, the invention of the computer ball mouse in 1968 sprang directly from the invention of the trackball. In a sense, the ball mouse is a reversed version of the same device. The trackball rolls on the surface instead of the user s hands, however the tracking operates in the same way(1). This innovation in existing technology meant that the handheld type design would later be upgraded as newer technologies took its place. Today, the ball mouse has been largely replaced by the optical and laser mouse. These types of mouse devices use LEDs to emit light onto the surface on which it sits, the reflected light is analysed by a set of photodiodes. Whether the mouse is laser or not depends on if the LEDs emit coherent light (laser) or not (optical). The main drawback of the optical mouse is that they only function on opaque and matte surfaces as they depend on the light reflecting the surfaces imperfections. The precision however is much improved from the ball mouse. Furthermore, less moving parts means more durability. The mouse really opened up the horizon for user interface navigation making it a key turning point in the history of input technologies. In psychology, different perspectives are made in order for us to have a better understanding of the different changes and behavior humans will undertake throughout their life. They can be sorted into continuous or discontinuous, one course or many courses of development, and nature or nurture. In developmental psychologycontinuity and discontinuity are two theories that compete to try and explain how individuals change throughout their lives. The continuity theory says that someone changes for the duration of their life along a smooth course whereas the discontinuity theory instead claims that people change abruptly. A development theory is one course when it is believed that there is one universal common path for all people across all places and cultures. On the other hand, a development theory with many courses is stated to have specific stages for specific individuals across specific contexts. Culture is transmitted, through language, material objects, ritual, institutions, and art, from one generation to the next. Because the processes of cultural formation are all different, culture is very diverse, for example; human culture , national culture, generation culture, and familyculture. Since there are various cultures, cultural conflicts arise. These cultural conflicts can be easily seen around us as other forms of conflict. The best example of cultural conflict is generational conflict. Because each generation is different in the process of formation, each generation has its own culture. If the generations are different, they do not understand their culture. That is why the generational conflict happens. The Abolition Of The Slave System Secondly, not only was the argument that slavery disappeared when abolition clearly became the economically rational option but another partial cause to the conclusion of slavery can be grasped in the changing social system of nations during this era. Morales of those both directly and not directly involved with the slave trade were transforming. The harshness of the slave system was being proven by the many slave suicides, runaways, first hand stories, and rebellions. Rousseau spread the idea in his writings of personal liberty and equality of all men, which included the African slaves. The realization of what slaveryentailed was becoming more known to society and the increasing belief of liberty for all, including slaves, was budding. Potential political benefits from the abolition of slavery were an increasingly common idea that had surfaced from the prevalent idea that slavery was immoral. Without the support from the British Parliament the Parliamentary acts that was necessary to effect change would not have occurred. Changes in moral progress, in ideas about ethics and morality, played an important part in bringing about the end of slavery. Abolition movements became the driving force of ridding economies of the process of slavery with the aid of forced coercion, through Civil war, to accepting the end of slavery in the Americas. In the early modern period of Europe the view of the people was that only non Europeans could be enslaved and the availability of
