Didn t See That One Coming
I ve never discriminated a book or a story. Even the ones that never make my heart
fully resonate to them. Still, I saw and understood their value. I simply knew they
were not meant for me and what they carry within their pages will, one day, find its
rightful place into someone else s hands. But recently, I ve read something
unexpected. I ve read John Steinbeck short story The Chrysanthemums, and it left me
completely displeased. As much as I would like, I can t seem to find the any value

I don t view this issue as something to be taken lightly. But after reading The
Chrysanthemums, I got the impression the author was trying to suppress the issue
by never addressing the subject openly. He made it feels like his purpose wasn t
really about defending women s intelligence. If it s the subject he decided to
defend, shouldn t he go all the way and don t hold back? Except, I feel he did hold
back and tried to bury the subject under a tone of unnecessary details. In a too long
and too slow pace, Steinbeck didn t skimp on the overflowing of never ending
descriptions of the surrounding and on the actions undertaken by the characters. Or
perhaps I should say lack of proper actions? Anyhow, this goes on and on throughout
the entire story and each moment left me hanging for something greater to happen.
It felt like the action, good or bad, was going to pick up at any moment and the
story will finally begin to take all of it sense. But before any of that ever happened,
the story ended. And, that s it. Nothing else! A short story of seven pages closed and
left me, no way nearer to understand the purpose behind Steinbeck words. It is so
aggravating that I kept expecting something to happen to the characters at every turn,
something that would bring to life the true meaning behind Steinbeck words. But, I

whole book is about the people on the boat and how they survive it. I made my
boat out of foam core. It was left over from a yard sale that we had at my house

Introduction
I have been asked to design and build a piece of equipment using the available
apparatus that follows the diagram below.
The design we came up with is in the picture below and the reason I came up with
this simple design is because it seemed the easiest in order to do the simple job.

This was simply a lead that came from the house mains and plugged into an adapter
that brought the amps down to 3amp as the circuit wasn t going to need a lot of
current to work and then plugged into the transformer.

I then used a transformer to change the voltage from 240v ac down to 15v ac. The

anticlockwise when polarity was changed through the way the relays are wired.
When we wired up this circuit and done a few tests on it we found that because it
was a dc circuit it had some voltage drop. We done a calculation to figure out what
would be the best size of capacitor we could put into the circuit in order to smooth it
out.

We then placed 1x 470uF and 2x 100uF capacitor in parallel and tested the wave
form again and it showed a more clear and steady wave than before. We then knew

voltage regulator that changed the voltage from 15v dc to 5v dc which I then used to

As I walked I noticed there were customers, all Caucasians, sitting at four different

Much like these genes, memes are also the sort of code that humans use to link our
ideas to each other. A memecan be an idea, an image, a sound, a phrase, or any
