2. In this PowerPoint I will be looking at the ideas
which I had for my movie trailer and the reason
why I chose them. I will also be looking ideas
which I didn't use and the reasons why I didn't
chose them.

3. The genre which i chose for my film was horror, the
reason why i chose this is that a trailer for a horror
movie would be easy to replicate and so would the
conventions of a horror film, also this would be a
lot easier of a genre to do compared to say action
or a romance film.

4. The locations in which I have chosen for my movie
trailer are my school and a woodland area near
my house, the reason why I have chosen these
locations are that they were easy to find and easy
for me to replicate any scenes as a woodland area
adds towards the conventions of the horror film eg
films like The Blair Witch Project and Cabin Fever
have used woodland area for there films.

5. The reason why I chose the specific profiles for my
characters for example making Samantha
(Imogen) the lonely and distant character and
making Ryan (Scott) the manipulative and evil
character is because I felt that I had to add
uniqueness to every character and just make
them different so they were able to appeal more to
my target audience.

6. My target audience for this film will be 15-30, the
reason why I chose this is that horror films will
attract more to this target audience than any other
audience. It is also attached to both genres but is
attracted to more boys than girls so has a 60-40
split.

7. I will follow the typical conventions which are used
in a horror film as the use of using a forest is
something you would normally see in a horror film.
Also the use of a psychotic killer is something
which is typically seen in a horror film as well.

8. In this PowerPoint I will also show 3 different ideas
which I had for my movie trailer. I will also be
looking at the reason why I decided the use my
original idea and why I didn't use the other ideas.
Two of these are of the horror genre and one of
these is of the action/thriller genre.

9. 6 teenage students go on a camping trip in the
forest which ends up in deadly consequences with
a psychopathic killer on the loose. This is the idea
which I decided the use for my movie trailer, the
reason why chose to do this as it was the trailer
which most appealed to me in a practical sense
and it would be an easy idea to produce.

10. 6 teenage students visit an abandoned school in the
middle of the night but it is unknown what spirits
lay around in this place. This is another idea which
I had but I didn't decide to do this as I thought that
the use of using a woodland area was a better
idea.

11. A teenage student who is been bullied is
considering attempting suicide after the misery
which has affected him recently eg: family events
and been bullied. This is another movie idea I had
which is completely different to the genre of my
other trailer ideas but it was an idea which
appealed to me. The reason why I chose not to do
this idea is I felt that it would be too complicated to
do compared to my other movie ideas.
