Most respondents to the questionnaire were males aged 14-16 who preferred action thrillers like The Dark Knight. They wanted to see a male lead in a fast-paced, action-packed opening sequence set in color with a dark musical score. The researcher plans to incorporate these preferences from the respondents into their group's thriller film project.

questionnaire as that is the
people I hang out with and know.

way they do. Mostly it is slightly
older people who are able to
analyse films, and this helps in
my research as it gives more of

I asked more boys than girls
because of the fact that more
boys watch thriller movies
than girls do, and I’m sure

would prefer a male to be

movie, and I think this is

7. Ideal Opening
Most people said they would like to see an action-packed
opening for a thriller as that is what they are all like today.
Seeing as how many people liked the Dark Knight, which
was made by Christopher Nolan, it kind of makes sense.
Most of his movies are thrillers and they all start off with
action right from the start. Seeing as how many people like
this convention we (the group) will try our best to
incorporate it into our final product.

8. Colour or Black and
White Looking at what most people
voted for it seems that leaving
our film in colour would probably

10. Evaluation
Looking at the research suggest that most people would prefer to watch an
action thriller, and this makes sense considering that the majority of people
said their favourite thriller movie is the Dark Knight. Also, I found out that
most people would like to see a male as the main character and that the
opening sequence should be very fast paced, and these are things that I hope
my group and I will be able to achieve. Also, most people said that the film
shouldn’t be black and white, and I think this is based on the fact that most
thriller films these days are, in fact, in colour. Finally the music should have a
dark tone to it because it fits in well with everything. I hope that my group
and I can take all this research and put it into our final product.
