2. A survey was conducted between 16th and 31stJuly for all staff
members who used the canteen

250 members of staff who eat at the canteen regularly were interviewed

CONCLUSIONS
1. There are insufficient assistants to cope with the food preparations
for breakfastand lunch.
2. The present equipment is insufficient.
3. Variety is not wideenough to cater to staff requirements.
4. The canteen spaceis insufficient to accommodate more than 150
persons at a time
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. A new assistantshould be recruited to work from 7.00 am to 3.30 pm
fromMonday to Friday
2. The caterer should be told to incorporatesomemore dishes from
new cuisines in the menu
3. A new Microwaveoven for heating and a new gas connection with a
stoveneeds to be purchased.
4. Lunch hour could be allocated floor wise, rotational on a monthly
basis to accommodate the employees without causing any
inconvenience.
