Acquiring Talent through Digital Media focuses on how companies can leverage social media for talent acquisition and engagement. Some key points made in the document include:
1) Social media allows companies to build their employer brand, source passive candidates, gain insights into niche skills, and build an internal pipeline of potential employees.
2) Challenges include lack of investment, limited ability to moderate content, and invasion of employee privacy.
3) Tata Communications uses social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Chatter to engage externally, share company updates, recognize employees, and allow workers to provide feedback to leadership.

The intention of this presentation is to summarize our team’s findings after initial research in the Social Media Marketing space. We relied heavily on sources including: eMarketer, Altimeter Group, Forrester, and Marketing Sherpa. At the rate the space is moving, this presentation should be considered old news as of noon today. Also, I apologize in advance for my mediocre PPT artwork skills.
Yesterday was a Microsite. Facebook is Today. What will Tomorrow Be?Ripple6, Inc.
For some time, microsites acted as a core component of many marketing campaigns. They provided fast, shorter-term focal points to introduce new lines or new promotions. But not so much anymore. The inability to scale individual microsites or connect them in your marketing efforts pushed them away from the forefront. Today's quickly evolving landscape offers many solutions for listening, engaging, and interacting with consumers, creating relationships in social networks. But how can you translate those efforts into a comprehensive strategy, with the right tools and technology to scale your efforts long term?
In this webinar, you'll learn how to quickly deploy a more engaging and scalable microsite model that can both connect and scale your social marketing. You'll get answers to the following questions:
• How can you scale your social media strategy across the Internet?
• How do you put user generated content to work for you?
• How do you find advocates and then unlock their value in more places than one?
Presentation to group of Local Authority Communications Officers on the Potential for Social Media in Local Government. The Wave is coming, we will be judged on how we react to it..
In order to improve personal and organizational knowledge, people have to take time to make sense of the information torrent. If not, it remains merely information. Unfortunately, many of today’s knowledge workers don’t have the time, discipline or the essential skills to select, filter, evaluate and comprehend their multifarious information sources. This can lead to missed opportunities, poor decision-making and suboptimal performance. The 21st century knowledge worker needs to be confident and comfortable with using social technologies and engaging with communities and social learning networks to update his or her knowledge in order to remain relevant. This session explores some of the tools, skills and processes that can help with information sense-making, and looks at the emergent roles of the Community Manager and Digital Curator in delivering value to learning networks.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.
