This document presents a review on 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions and retrosynthetic analysis in designing novel antifungal agents. Specifically, it discusses using 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions to design new antifungal compounds incorporating pyrrole, pyrazole, and triazole derivatives. It also reviews the antifungal compound pyrrolnitrin and presents a retrosynthetic analysis scheme for its synthesis. The analysis proposes a multi-step retrosynthetic route starting from a dichloro-substituted pyrrole carboxylic acid and working backwards to arrive at commercially available starting materials. The document concludes that retrosynthetic analysis and disconnection chemistry can help design diversified chemical entities with potential antif
