Relationships Between Vampires And Vampires
Relationships between vampires and humans were forbidden. Humans were used for feeding
purposes only. Of course, like in every society, there were the individuals who disobeyed set rules.
Yoongi and Hoseok were one of them.
When the world had discovered of their relationship, a secret kept quiet for many months, the
backlash was tremendous. A human dating a vampire was unheard of, but a human dating a vampire
with such a social status like Yoongi's? Humans and vampires alike were in an uproar.
What was so special about Min Yoongi? He was the heir to the king, and after his father died, he had
rightfully taken the throne.
Hoseok thought nothing of Yoongi when they first met. Sure, he felt bad that the elder was lonely,
but it wasn't his problem. He was only a blood donor and had nothing to do with his client.
Little did he know that months later, he would end up in falling in love with the vampire.
It started out slow. Sometimes, after a feeding, Yoongi would invite Hoseok to stay at his house.
There were days when Yoongi drained him of too much blood and he didn't have enough in his
system to drive himself home, thus making him inclined to agree.
Hoseok was a delightful person by nature, with his positivity and charm, he could catch anyone into
his web. As their friendship grew and blossomed, Yoongi's authentic personality began to shine
through. There was no hard exterior, it was a front for the society that they lived in.
Growing up, Yoongi was raised without love

Vampire Subcultures
There are many subcultures in the United States that are strange to me that some people think are
completely normal. A subculture is a cultural group within a larger culture that has the same
interests, beliefs, behaviors, or religion. Subcultures varies from things like southern food culture, to
things like bodybuilding. The strangest subcultures to me are the vampires, and the bronies. There
were some more in mind, but these are the two that stood out the most to me.
Strangely enough, vampires are already in people's imagination. Now they have a cultural group just
for their imagination. I'm not trying to seem disrespectful to the vampire subculture, but it's honestly
strange that they think they are real vampires. This lifestyle formed in the western culture, stemming
from horror films, and overall styles of Victorian England. The vampire subculture is just like any
other system of beliefs. They commit themselves to this lifestyle and participate in rituals.
Continually, vampires dress themselves in gothic clothing with dark eye shadow, and black nail
polish. In this vampire lifestyle, you will find blood donors who are people who allow the vampires
to drink their actual blood. The donors are hard to find, but they are subservient to the vampires.
There are different types of vampires within the vampire subculture. They have the sanguinarians,
the psychic vampires, the living vampires, and the transcendental vampires. The sanguinarians who
look at themselves as real

Vampires Vs Modern Vampires
Vampires are popular in contemporary culture. They are the go–to creatures, the phenomenon people
love featuring in tv shows and movies such as The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. They both show
modern depictions of what vampires would be like in this day–in–age. Though, both shows
embodied the idealism of modern–age vampires; they each have their own depiction on how they
should act, look, and how each plot of the show should be carried out. True Blood's involvement in
these elements is what made the show successful, not only that, but they even explored social issues
about discrimination, religion, and equal rights. Each tv show was a success on its own.
True Blood is one of the most talked about tv shows today. Alan Ball, the creator of the series,
wanted to illustrate these fictional vampires as these lifeless creatures with pale–like skin, razor–
sharp fangs, and a lust for blood. They are normal in appearance, making it impossible to detect who
they were unless you triggered their inhumane nature. These characters were assimilating with
humanity, trying to disguise their inhumane nature. Whereas in The Vampire Diaries, Julia Plec,
writer, and creator of the show, made her characters appear stranger. Their eyes would change
according to their hunger, their pale and cold skin would mimic a dead corpse, and their canine teeth
would go smoothly through warm–blooded bodies. The vampires in each show are intended to
appear as humanly as possible, whilst experiencing

The Vampire Evolution
From all the way back to when the Romantic period started around the 18th century right up to
today's 21st century, vampires have completely evolved. They went from being heartless
bloodthirsty killers to supernatural creatures that just want to live a normal life. From the beginning
vampires have been night walkers that sleep throughout the day due to them being prone to sunburn,
they've always had this peculiar yet charming attraction about them, and have a constant thirst for
blood. Throughout this time period many detailed elements and features have been added to the
vampire's life cycle. The Vampyre by John Polidori was written in 1819 which was when vampires
were newly introduced to the world. In this text we have the innocent victim Aubrey who ends up
meeting this unusual but attractive man named Lord Ruthven who was a vampire all along.
Focusing on Lord Ruthven, he was a pale and quite strange man that attracted females very easily.
He was very secretive and would suddenly vanish out of nowhere. When Aubrey agreed to go
travelling with Lord Ruthven, he came across a woman he was attracted to named Ianthe; she
enlightened him about vampires and warned him to be aware since they exist. Oddly, she ends up
getting killed by one which is Lord Ruthven within that same week. I've noticed while doing this
project that vampires don't want humans to know who they really are and if they find out they

Vampires : Are They Real And If So?
Vampires: Are they real And If So, Are They a Threat to Society? There has been stories in the
magazine, in the newspapers and on televisions about people who claim to be vampire and are
practicing the Vampire culture. So the question here is, are these people who claim to be vampires
really vampires and if they are, are they a treat to the society. The purpose of this essay is to
investigate and find out more about vampire, their origin, the different types, their beliefs and
practices, and if they are really a treat to the society. There are a lot of movies, books and stories
about the existence of vampires, but many people still think it is a myth and vampires never existed.
To start, where do Vampires come from? People have been educated through the media and books
that, vampires are creatures that are created when a human being is bitten by another vampire and
afterward feeds on blood. The movies specify that one will not fully turn into a vampire unless he or
she drinks blood. Most movies even show them as bad for the society. Movies such as blade,
Dracula and vampire diary all show how human beings turn into vampires. According to Browning,
"Vampires self–described nature begins to manifest around or after puberty" (4). A person who is a
vampire does not discover it until he or she reaches adolescence age. Vampires has been known
throughout existence and people actually believe that they really do exist. "The term vampire was
not popularized until the early 18th

A Night with a Vampire
Billy had gone into the master bedroom after rejecting Damon. He hadn't intended to hurt the man's
ego, he just didn't feel like being slapped at the moment. Billy knew Damon was into BDSM, but he
himself didn't think he would enjoy being spanked, whipped, or chained. Leather, on the other hand,
was a bit interesting...
Before he could take that thought any further, Billy sensed David coming up the stairs. Laying back
on the bed (with fresh, clean sheets, of course) and waited. David opened the door smiling and shut
it behind himself. Walking slowly over to Billy, he started unbuttoning his black dress shirt.
David climbed on top of the vampire and pressed his lips to Billy's. Billy opened his mouth as a
silent invitation and moaned as David's warm tongue slid into his mouth. Their tongues wrestled,
but after a few seconds, Billy let David take full control; he wasn't the dominant type.
David's warm hand slid down between them both and cupped Billy's hard on. Billy gasped in
pleasure and pushed lightly against David's palm. David bent down and licked Billy's bottom lip and
smiled as he felt Billy's hips lift up in an attempt to grind him, but David was going to make the
night last.
Suddenly, Billy spoke. Well, more groaned, "Lucas, won't you join us?"
The door opened and then shut and Lucas stepped into the room smirking.
"Mmm, I'd love to, but only if you want me to."
David turned his head to his right and smirked at the sexy blonde standing next to them. He reached

The Vampire in Folklore vs the Vampire in Literature
The vampire, from folklore to literature is described as a "dead person that awakens in the night to
suck the blood out of the living". (Bartlett, pg 1) The evolution of the vampire itself has seen drastic
changes from the time of the vampire in folklore; where he was seen as a scapegoat, being the cause
of the plagues and had to be killed to restore a healthy civilization to, Bram Stocker's literary
vampire; where the vampire had become the heroic figure and had to be blamed for all the victims
that had past. Both of these are based on the Penguin English definition of a vampire but how is it
that the vampire today has changed so drastically from the one people feared in legends and
folklore. One can say that the vampire in literature has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the story of Lord Byron, we find out later on that he is a vampire and that he has very
much so human characteristics. Edward is the same since he tends to have human emotions for a
girl. Carol A. Sanf sais so herself when making this statement ." twentieth century writers and
directors often portray the vampire as a more sympathetic character than he had been in either
folklore or literature." (Senf, pg 3) Although Lord Byron might not have shown sympathetic
emotions, we see him as the hero because he tries to resolve the conflicts that have arose throughout
the story. The movie Twilight does this even more by making Edward fight his superiors for a girl he
has feelings for.
Lastly we have noticed that the vampire in movies often starts to have feelings for a girl that has
become more than sexual attention. The Lilith from Stu Burns "A short history of vampire folklore"
is seen as a demon that has sex with men before eating the flesh out of them. These characteristics
are very familiar in folklore because vampires would often show sexual attention before eating their
victims. In the 20th century vampire, we see him has having emotions for his victim and wanting to
turn his victim into a vampire as well so that they can live happily together. Just like in Twilight, in

The Glamorization Of Vampires In Vampire Horror Movies
Vampires themselves are nothing new to me. I have seen a multitude of media where vampires are
the main protagonist. Most of my favorite films are vampire horror movies, and I believe the first
one I had seen was The Lost Boys, which sparked my interest. These tantalizing, young, and
erotically appealing creatures called out to my soul and they haven't let go of me.
The glamorization of vampires has reinvented the depiction of the notorious monster. Vampires are
not fully human, nor fully animal, neither fully alive nor fully dead. In a variety of aspects, they are
superior beings. Vampires are immortal creatures portrayed as sexy, powerful, and mysterious
beings of the night. Today's vampire possesses immaculate beauty along with untamed ... Show

vital role in American body wars, along with popular culture by being a symbol of transcendence.
For Poole, the main idea is that the immortal and eerily gorgeous creatures are merely idols that
some people look up to and want to become,

The Age Of The Vampire
The Age of the Vampire From Literature to Twilight, Vampires have been in the public eye for
decades. The characteristics may change as will the looks but they have the same amount of
popularity. It all started in 1897, the writings of Bram Stoker gave the world the story of Dracula.
This story is considered the source material for all vampires to follow. Many of the characteristics
laid out in Dracula can still be easily found in current vampire movies. Though there was never a
"golden age" for vampire movies, as it is a subgenre for film, it did greatly participate in the golden
age of horror films, giving greatly to the popularity of horror films. This popularity still demands a
very active hold on film goers today. Bela Lugosi is the poster child for the character of Dracula. He
set the tone for what a good vampire in the 1931 film Dracula. After Lugosi, Christopher Lee is the
next person credited with the popularity of vampire movies. Lee has starred in 10 separate movies as
Count Dracula, the quality of the movies and Lee's prior acting credits gave way to the resurgence of
Dracula in the mid 1900's. All of these credits however mean nothing in the world of film without
the movies that kicked everything off, Nosferatu, the 1922 film keeps true to the book Dracula. This
allowed a new archetype to come to the world of film. This archetype however, has undergone
dramatic changes over the decades. From Nosferatu to the new release of Dark Shadows, change has

Interview With The Vampire
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice depicts immortal vampires as the central characters who
experience an almost sexual obsession for human blood. They nourish on the sexual emotions and
desires of mortal victims. It is a sensual horror novel, in which Anne describes the seductive
atmosphere of evilness throughout the novel. The novel begins with a vampire named Louis who is
telling his life story to a mortal journalist named Daniel during an interview. Louis's life story is full
of conflicts between the vampires and their seductive emotions, and evilness. This novel can be

The Vampires Evolution : Vampire Gentlemen And Zombie Beasts
The Vampires Evolution Vampires in the past are known as an undead and a scary monster. They are
called scary monster for a number of reasons. Vampires are depicted as human corpses that revive
their lives from the graves, harm living people, and seduce women. They are bloodthirsty, animated
monsters that created in the folklore. According to the article "Vampire Gentlemen and Zombie
Beasts" Angela Tenga and Elizabeth Zimmerman demonstrate that, "Today's vampire is 'a lonely
immortal longing for love, family, and approval" (76). To be more specific, this monster was first
created as vampire with the horror look that comes back from death, he harms human by biting and
draining blood. Vampires often target lust in women's sexuality. He represents fears and desires that
humans are so hesitating to approach but also attracting to vampires. Over time, vampires have
evolved differently and tremendously from the day that they were born till today. In the article,
"Monster Culture (Seven Theses)" Cohen claims, "The monster is born at this metaphoric
crossroads, as an embodiment of a certain cultural moment – of a time, a feeling, and a place" (4).
Every monster reflects its own culture, it adapts and acts differently in each time. Due to the changes
over time of a culture; therefore, leads to the changes in monsters. It could be the appearance that
changed, it could be the personality that changed or it could be both appearance and personality that

The History of Vampires
The vampire is one of the oldest mythological creatures in the world. It has been around for
thousands of years and is found in nearly every culture. There are many different kinds, the red–
eyed corpses from China, the Greek Lamia– a woman with the lower body of a winged serpent, the
Penanggalang in Malaysia– a woman with a detachable head, etc. The most commonly known,
however, is the Romanian vampire, it is used often in pop culture, from movies, to television, to
literature. The myth of the Romanian vampire became popular after the publication of Bram Stoker's

Another way someone would be identified as a vampire is if they lived an unusual life. People who
practiced witchcraft, committed suicide, or were excommunicated by the church were certain to
come back as vampires after death. If none of these signs were apparent during their life, a person
could be identified as a vampire after death. If the corpse was buried face down or was jumped over
by a cat, there was a chance that person would come back from the dead. Another indication from
the grave would be if there was a small hole near the gravestone. It was believed that a vampire
could enter and exit through a small hole near the headstone. This might be because of the fact that
vampires were believed to be able to dissipate into a mist, or fog, and travel in that form, making it
easy to slip through the hole near their headstone.
Also in J. Gordon Melton's book The Vampire Book: Encyclopedia of the Undead, it was said that
since people lived in such fear of these vampires, there were many precautions taken. For one, garlic
would be placed in the mouth of the suspected corpse or millet seeds would be put in their coffin.
This was because it was believed that the vampire would be postponed from coming out of the grave
because it would need to take the time of eating it before leaving the coffin. Sometimes a distaff
would be driven into the ground over their grave in the hopes that if the vampire were to try and
escape,

Vampires
Vampires have fell under a certain stereotype ever since the early nineteenth Century, and even up
until today. Movies, novels and people in general have depicted vampires as bloodsucking demons
who turn into bats, and I am sure everyone is familiar with any vampires need to seduce women
almost daily. Vampires are said to be " an alien nocturnal species," as Nina Auerbach's book–"Our
vampires, ourselves" states; but all vampires are not the coffin lying, shadow loitering monsters that
the media perceives them to be. First of all, vampires are neither inhuman nor nonhuman, " they are
simply more alive than they should be." What does this statement infer? Does this perception imply
that vampires are actually ghosts? No, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In the aftermath of the twilight craze it might seem like vampires might die out of favor, they won't.

Though zombies are the monster of the moment, vampires have plenty of things they don't, like
versatility; recognizable zombies are mindless rotting re–animated corpses hungering for human
flesh, taking one of those things away doesn't mean it's not a good story but it does go against the

The 's Portrayal Of The Vampire
Vampirisms Portrayal
Many years ago in Wallachia, Romania, there was a price by the name of Vlad III Tepes. This man
was seen by many people of Romania as well as other parts of Europe, as a hero for his protection of
the north and south Romanians in which he was later recognized and honored in his leadership. At
first, he had many followers, but then they started to fade due to his practices of impaling his
enemies, he was labeled "The Impeller." His reputation started to grow in a negative way because of
the excessive cruelty. This excessiveness of cruelty against his enemies cause a lot of blood
shedding in which this started the beginning of the vampire myth.
Throughout time, we can see that the myth of vampires has not only stayed in Romania. We see it in
literature dating back to the very beginning or discovery of this "creature" through the cruelty of
Prince Vlad III. However, the portrayal of the vampire did not stay the same as time went by. The
portrayal of vampirism has come long ways and changed as society did. The specific roles and
details of the vampires are crafted in relation to what society wants. However, the symbolic meaning
behind the vampire stays the same even if their role has changed; they represent what we both fear
and desire as humans: beauty, strength, and immortality. I will be analyzing the different
representations and treatments of vampirism in three different books, Dracula by Bram Stoker,
Madness of Angels by Kate Griffin, and Fledgling

Tales of mythical beasts and creatures have been told for centuries from family to family. The story
of the vampire has been a nightmarish epic that was designed to scare the youth of today. The Strain
takes this idea even further, however. The vampires in this series are far more sophisticated and less
humane than the original blood suckers. The vampires despise the light, weakened when cut with
silver, and can't respawn when their head is cut off and burned to finish the deed. They roam well in
groups, are hard to kill, and have a stinger that reaches quite a ways out from their tongue.

capacity and get smarter and stronger as each day passes. This is why killing them in their early
stages is the best possible time. The most horrid strength that they have is their six foot long stinger
that protrudes from their mouth to infect their next victim. The vampires are strong beings with the
willingness and capability to inflict mass destruction and have many strengths compared to their
minute amount of weaknesses.
While most vampire stories are of being blood suckers, wearing caps, and bearing large fangs, these
vampires are not. These vampires are gray looking humans that have the capacity to kill, infect, and

The Notable Vampire is John William Polidori´s Vampire
One of the most notable nineteenth century literary vampires is John William Polidori's vampire.
Lord Ruthven– the man of mysterious past and one of the most charismatic and interesting
nineteenth century vampires– is a Gothic villain that has been used by his creator (Polidori) as a
social metaphor. How is that?
It is worthy of note, as Christopher Frayling claims, that John William Polidori was the foremost
nineteenth century authors whose penchant to blend together components of vampirism into a
coherent literary genre was an immediate success in his ever prominent story The Vampyre. Here
are some testimonial lines taken from Christopher Frayling's book Vampyres: Lord Byron to Count
Dracula. In this book, Frayling writes:" Polidori transformed the vampire from a character in
folklore into the form that is recognized today– an aristocratic fiend who preys among high society"
(Frayling )
In this respect, Senf also writes:"Polidori's work anticipates some of the ways that other writers will
use the vampire as a social metaphor in realistic fiction" (Senf: 39).
On the basis of the evidence currently available, it seems fair to suggest that Polidori' s The
Vampyre is not just a story of a monstrous figure of the vampire from folklore tradition waiting to be
destroyed by a wooden stake through the heart, it is rather that kind of nineteenth century vampire
whose literary presence is highly loaded with metaphorical connotations. For instance, Lord
Ruthven's presence in the

The Mystery Of The Vampire
Vampires, zombies, ghosts, and demons are the four biggest genres of Western horror. While some
horror movie tropes seem to come and go, like mummies, witches, cannibals, those four genres
never seem to disappear. Every couple of months a new haunted house movie comes out, and since
the start of AMC's The Walking Dead, zombies have not even taken a break. Even considering how
popular zombies are now, there is one type of creature that we will always be plagued with; the
vampire. Just in the 21st century we have had dozens of vampire based movies and shows: Van
Helsing, Blade, Vampire Diaries, Twilight, True Blood, no matter the genre directors always find
some way to add vampires to it. That is the true curse of the vampire. Before vampires were turned
into crazy love/sex dramas for teens, they use to bring fear to people, not romance. In, From Caligari
to Hitler, Kracauer explains how Germany was charmed by stories of unescapable tyranny; it was a
fear of the people. Germany was out of balance and they needed to choose their establishment, they
feared that tyranny would be bad, but enjoyed watching the horrors of tyranny in film (Kracauer, p.
76). Vampire films like Nosferatu and Dracula star a tyrannical, unstoppable man and the citizens
are powerless to fight back against his reign and his lust. Kracauer questions the German peoples'
love for movies like these, "did they call upon frightened visions to exorcise lusts which, they
sensed, were their own and now threatened

Essay On Vampires And Zombies
The words, "Pop culture is more and more about skulls and skeletons and zombies and vampires,
and that's not just on Halloween" were said by Michael Almereyda who is a film director of
America. Similarly, the essays "Vampires Never Die," and "Our Zombies, Ourselves: Why we can't
get the undead off our brains" from Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan, and James Parker
respectively point out about the zombies and vampires. Vampires, and zombies are the creatures of
the night. Vampires feed on human blood, while zombies feed on human brains. Vampires are
depicted as handsome, fascinating, appealing pale human beings that prefer feasting on human
blood. While, zombies are depicted as vicious flesh–eating creatures. They have become popular ...

If youth is desire married with unending possibility, then vampire lust creates within us a delicious

humans. "Our Zombies, Ourselves: Why we can't get the undead off our brains" is an article written
by James Parker in The Atlantic in 2011. He stated that "we might reasonably have expected the first
modern zombies to start showing up around 1919" (_______________). It means that zombies came
in the 19th century. In this article, Parker discusses the historical background of zombies. Also, he
raises remarkably captivating point on the infamy of zombies, and a short timeline on zombies. In
addition, he talks about the different sorts of popular cultures which include zombies and are
utilized, for example, the movies like Night of the Living Dead, White Zombie, the books like
Zombie Haiku, The Zen of Zombie, and the television series like The Walking Dead. Indeed, by
using these references, the author helps demonstrate to people about how zombies appear to
incessantly lure their interest. Also, the author explained in his article about how the zombies arose,
and which prominent movies began to truly make the zombie what it is in these days. In addition, he
discusses the role and development of zombies. Also, he stated that people did not reached the peak
point of zombies. Nowadays, people

Vampires Real?
Vampires Are Real With today's media a fascination with monsters has risen to an all–time high.
One monster in particular, though, has become the center point for all attention, the vampire. Many
believe the existence of vampires is just a myth. One valid arguments of non–believers is that if
vampires did exist, wouldn't they have depleted their food source? Early legends of vampires are
supported by the belief that people suffering from a deadly, but rare, blood disease not vampirism.
Believers are of the opinion that the legends of vampires date back thousands of years, with every
culture having some roots linked with the undead. Very important historical figures have been

A very popular position taken by many skeptics is if vampires are actually real creatures, why
haven't they taken the lives of all human beings? The answer to that is simple. Most humans eat
meat, but just because we eat meat with every meal doesn't necessarily mean it is the same type of
animal. What restricts vampires to feeding on just human blood? Could they drink an animal's blood
as well? If they were restricted to humans, the extinction of our race would in turn mean the
extinction of theirs. The vampire will continue to be a part of our society, as people we always need
something to use their imagination. If human beings ever become the victim of a feeding frenzy one
thing is humanity depends on is vampires will not deplete their own food supply. There was no
medical condition that could have ever made people think their loved ones were the undead. By
definition there are vampires in our world, some could consider an evil person a vampire. Our Bible,
though mysterious, does seem to hint at the existence of vampires. Perhaps it's the fear that
something alive is more dominant than the human being is what makes people turn their heads and
scoff at the idea of vampires being real.

When You Meet A Vampire...
Vampires are everywhere. They can come out of a bush in the night, they can attack you in a middle
of a party and even be one of your closest friends. So you should be suspicious for everybody. To
identify a vampire you should act in our three–stage plan.
Stage one: Identifying
You can find the vampires around you by taking a close look into their eyes: there will be a dark
colored ring around the iris of their eye, and there is generally a noticeably different color
surrounding the pupil. In addition, holding eye contact with them feels different than holding eye
contact with a normal person. You will begin to feel an odd effect where it is hard to look away as
well as an odd pushing or pulling feeling against you, and the effect of a distorting everything else in
your eye sight, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A lot of the vampire's emotions can be seen through his look. If you get a smile, it means that they
appreciate you for knowing enough about them and for the fact you're not scared and too hysterical
to say it. Vampires will always be curious about why you are approaching them, so don't ask him
directly "are you a vampire?" like a tactless ignorant. Instead, have a clear explanation for why you
are acknowledging their existence. Most of the humans don't want to acknowledge vampires, and in
fact are afraid of them, so a person to willingly walk up to them and genuinely wants to be around
them is a little bit suspicious, but valued.
Vampires also appreciate intelligent people, which create intelligent conversations and lively
discussions. By engaging them in an interesting and scholarly conversation you will get their respect
and their esteem. Don't worry about the topic, just be well informed on whichever you choose.
Finding a common middle ground with a vampire will help make them like you, and in turn make
them more willing to be honest with you when the time comes to creating a

A few centuries ago, vampires drank human blood and spread plague flourished in time of disease in
Eastern Europe. In 19 century, some Europeans who did not understand about disease thought that
people who had serious illness became first vampire in their family (Eldridge.) Therefore, Europe
people think that vampires usually attack their friends or family member. Following to Barber?s
perspective, ?European folklore believed in the spirit of a dead person that return after death to
haunt the living, in the form as vampire, was always the first person to die in the family? (Barber
827). In Chinese culture, vampires are living deaths that absorb energy from the moon, called Jiang
Shi (Image 1). They usually hop or pop around to catch unsuspecting victims. They do not feed
human blood, but they are controlled by bad priest to attack people and villages. In short, vampires
have more strength than normal human beings, and they are undead. They always harm or otherwise
kill people. Authors, Lindahl, Mcnamara, and Lindow, define a vampire ?is a revenant, reanimated
corpse, or phantom of the recently deceased, which maintain its former, living appearance when it
comes out of the grave at night to drink the blood of human? (Lindahl 424). In the Vampire book in
1998, Jocob Grimm states another definition vampires as ?dead men come back, who suck blood?

Vampires and Vampirism Essay
Vampires and Vampirism
Missing Works Cited The vampire of today is most commonly associated with the type that was
created by Bram Stoker when Dracula was published in 1897 (Florescu and McNally 221). This
popular cultural icon is described by Stoker in his novel: "The teeth were strong and white, and the
canine teeth protruded over the lower lip when the mouth was closed. The [vampire's] hands were
large and powerful, the nails black and pointed like a bird's talons" (qtd. in Florescu and McNally
227).
However popular, the vampire–as–monster theme has not always been the primary way of
employing this motif. The vampire of the English Romantics served more as symbol or as a

In keeping with this tradition, Charlotte Bronte also uses the vampire element in her novel Jane
Eyre. Nina Auerbach sums up popular sentiment towards vampires in literature from the mid–
nineteenth century: "[T]hough vampires sitting at good men's feasts repelled reviewers, these were
the vampires readers responded to in the mid–nineteenth century: monsters who showed them not so
much foreign lands and alien tastes as the vampirism of their own daily meals" (Auerbach 33). It
was thrilling to these readers to see the exotic nature of the vampire transposed onto their daily lives.
However popular as a literary device in the nineteenth century, vampirism has existed from the first
recordings of history. This phenomenon can probably be traced to a time when man was hunter and
observed the fact that as blood drained from the body, so too did life. It was believed that by
applying blood to the body or drinking it, one would obtain the essence of the person from whom
the blood flowed (McNally and Florescu 144). Indeed, the importance of blood for the sake of
sacrifice was, in antiquity, believed to be a universal practice. This is similar to the sacrament of
Holy Communion today in that those who partake of the Holy Blood of Christ will have transferred
to them a power of some sort (South 246). Vampirism has even been traced back to the Himalayan
Mountains over three thousand years ago when the goddess

Vampire Script
DISCIPLE is a vampire script that features an ensemble cast. The script is driven by the universal
theme of good vs. evil. Moral choices are explored. Vampire scripts and films are not new to the
industry and in order to be successful they have to offer the audience something new. This script
attempts to do this with an intriguing twist that vampires battle vampires. This concept has merit.
While there are strengths and weaknesses to the script, the script, overall, would benefit from more
development. There are several features that are worth discussing.
One concern about the script is that because of the ensemble cast, there isn't a strong protagonist that
drives the plot. While it appears that John is the protagonist, he doesn't have a clear goal, nor does
he drive the story. In fact, because of the opening with first Sebastian and then Veronica, it's a bit
challenging to know who the true protagonist really is.
At first, one thinks the protagonist is Veronica. The opening of her attacking her attacker is solid.
The audience likes her and is hooked. The reveal of her fangs is strong. It sets the tone.
Unfortunately, then more characters are introduced, and while Veronica has some strong moments in
the script, she doesn't drive the plot.
Because there isn't a solid hero or goal identified, the script's plotline and structure feels fragmented
and wanders. One keeps wondering what's the story about and what's the objective. When the car
hits Cybelle, one thinks this

The Vampire And Vampire Genre
The vampire genre has been a dominating force in films and television shows for ages now. Earlier
vampire films were known for being creepy and eerie, leading people to fear the vampire. While
modern vampire films and television shows are known for making vampires more likable or even
relatable. This modernization of the vampire seems to have come as a result of film and television
makers combining the vampire genre with other genres. Having films and television shows about

Vampires And Vampires : The Dangers Of Vampires
Fear is something we all crave, well at least the excitement factor of the fear. Take haunted houses
for instance, they bring in millions of dollars a year. People clamber to get to the scariest most
terrifying haunted houses each Halloween. But why? Why would someone want to be intentionally
scared? Or take an amusement park. Each summer people stand in long lines, in the heat of the
summer all to ride a less than 30–second roller coaster that whips them around like a rag doll. It is
because humans are naturally thrill seekers in some shape or form. We love the adrenaline high we
get from chasing the next big wave. Modern vampires (as I mentioned before) are considered
"heartthrobs" in todays society. Think of films like the TWILIGHT saga where vampires can walk
during the day, have sex and even have children. They are the teenage heartthrob mixed with the
proverbial "badboy". Vampires are the perfect mix of gentleman and monster. They hold this
mysteriousness that is very alluring, it draws people in. People love a mystery, especially and dark,
sexy mystery. It turns people on. It is the red apple in the story of Adam and Eve. It's temptation, our
biggest weakness as humans.
Another thing that makes the vampire, so alluring is their ability to control a person. They are the
masters of manipulation because, in order to successfully seduce their victims, they must be invited.

The Influence Of Vampires
The popularity of vampires in films has increased dramatically over the past decade or so. Films
such as Van Helsing, Fright night and Twilight have all paved the way for a new type of vampire
that appeals to the audience for several different reasons. Leaving a lot of the traditional vampire
traits behind, these films have created a new attractive vampire and in the case of twilight, a vampire
that has feelings and emotions and does not want to drink human blood. These more modern
vampires are not only more appealing to the viewer; they are also signifiers of the modern culture in
which we live in today.

In Van Helsing, the three brides of Dracula are strikingly beautiful women and Jerry the vampire in
Fright Night is very handsome, and this fact is remarked by the female characters in the film on
several occasions. The fact that these new modern vampires are seen as very sexual and extremely
attractive individuals shows that the modern audience of the 21st century needs to be visually
stimulated in more ways than one. The saying 'sex sells' does indeed apply here. Along with being
stimulated visually by the camera effects of these movies, audiences like looking at people who are
attractive. This attractiveness adds to the appeal of vampires even more as they are becoming sexier,
more enticing and even more alluring.
Taking the aforementioned points into account, another vampire phenomenon which has hit the 21st
century must be discussed. The Twilight Saga, which shows vampires in almost a completely
different light, has swept across the world and has gathered a very strong and loyal fan base. In
Twilight, vampires are seen to have feelings and emotion, and they also want to abstain from
drinking human blood, well the majority do. Here, vampires are stepping away from the traditional

Scientists have found 2500–year–old charred remains of honeycombs along with other artifacts in
Milan, Italy at the town trade center. The honeycombs were made from a distinct grapevine that
grew by the rivers only to be created by traveling beekeepers. This is a very telling statement that
discredits the idea that the Etruscans were vampires and lived underground. The room had been
destroyed by fire; however, the honeycombs were preserved in their original deposition so that
samples of the melted honey were determined to be of an early–cultivated variation of grapevine.
The samples revealed that the honeybees had been feasting on plants like grapevines and water
lilies, some which were not native to the Etruria region. This would have suggested that the
honeycomb hives and bees were collected via floating down the riverbanks and brought back to the
trade center. When the beehives became full of honey and heavy enough to lower their boats into the
water, they would return home to extract the honey. This knowledge leads us to believe the
Etruscans possessed a particular type of beekeeping known only to them. Again, this suggests that
the Etruscans never spent life underground or never exposed to sunlight (Lorenzi,

The modern day vampire stories are mostly all converted to love stories, and it is love in the end that
makes the wheels turn. John S. Bak, in his essay 'Post/modern Dracula: from Victorian themes to

to establish the central theme that universal love, not hate is what will ultimately save humanity

Another interesting angle to using the vampire narrative as a tool in Christian hegemony is that
'holy' ground is never the deterrent to the vampire. It is always holy 'Christian' ground. Religious
artefacts don't prove fatal to the vampire, 'Christian' religious artefacts do. The idea that all religions
are equal, and other religions may also play a deterrent role never comes up. This, despite the fact
that modern day vampire narratives are exploring the realms of vampire history, and have traced
vampiric lineage all the way to Egypt during the time of the Pharaohs. However, the Christian
undercurrents remain. The image of a vampire unable to enter a mosque, or a temple or a synagogue

They will find a way to get close to their victim and get involved with the victim's life, so they could
keep feeding on their blood. It is also true with a toxic relationship. In this type of relationship, two
people will get involved in each other's life, and one of them will try to control the other. Another
example for toxic relationship is when two people know their relationship will not be a happy
ending but they do not want to let go. Overtime, if they could not get themselves out of it, it will
drain up the energy and time. Finally, even if they are a victim of a vampire or a victim of a toxic
relationship, they will end of look tired, won't be able to experience joy, and it feel like your soul
have been stolen. (490)
Everyone said that vampire have an ability to control other people mind, and making these people
do whatever they want. It sounds to me as a metaphor about someone whose try to dominate other
people. In the toxic relationship, the person who is dominant will always find a way to convince
other do what they want. They will try to control your behavior toward them, and make you think
and believe what they believe. If they could not control you then they may threaten you or even
leave you, just like what a vampire did when they did not get what they

Vampire Vs. Vampire Myth
Vampires within literature and film traditionally follow a similar archetype of what a vampire
consists of and the traits they harbor. Many European and Western vampire narratives share similar
appearances, habits and afflictions. Most readers and viewers are extensively familiar with what
they believe a vampire to be most often comparing these vampires to Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Dracula is the quintessential example of modern vampires and has a significant and lasting impact
on the genre of vampires both from the novel and subsequent films. Simply put, most individuals are
familiar with the traditional vampire, who is generally a fair skinned male that drinks the blood from
victim's necks with sharp pointy fangs. These vampires are most often depicted as being fearful of
Christian symbolism, being deterred with crosses and holy water. Traditional vampire novels
provide a framework that fill us with preconceived notions of what it means to be a vampire yet
there are many examples of the vampire myth within other novels that attempt to turn this narrative
on it's head and change what we believe to be a true vampire. This archetypal vampire exists
differently in many cultures around the world and every society has a different conception of what a
vampire is. The myth of the vampire allows individuals to connect with a dark, mysterious part of
themselves. This myth is often associated with sexuality and gender roles, showing a development
over time. Due to the fact that

Relationships Between Vampires And Vampires

  • 1. Relationships Between Vampires And Vampires Relationships between vampires and humans were forbidden. Humans were used for feeding purposes only. Of course, like in every society, there were the individuals who disobeyed set rules. Yoongi and Hoseok were one of them. When the world had discovered of their relationship, a secret kept quiet for many months, the backlash was tremendous. A human dating a vampire was unheard of, but a human dating a vampire with such a social status like Yoongi's? Humans and vampires alike were in an uproar. What was so special about Min Yoongi? He was the heir to the king, and after his father died, he had rightfully taken the throne. Hoseok thought nothing of Yoongi when they first met. Sure, he felt bad that the elder was lonely, but it wasn't his problem. He was only a blood donor and had nothing to do with his client. Little did he know that months later, he would end up in falling in love with the vampire. It started out slow. Sometimes, after a feeding, Yoongi would invite Hoseok to stay at his house. There were days when Yoongi drained him of too much blood and he didn't have enough in his system to drive himself home, thus making him inclined to agree. Hoseok was a delightful person by nature, with his positivity and charm, he could catch anyone into his web. As their friendship grew and blossomed, Yoongi's authentic personality began to shine through. There was no hard exterior, it was a front for the society that they lived in. Growing up, Yoongi was raised without love ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Vampire Subcultures There are many subcultures in the United States that are strange to me that some people think are completely normal. A subculture is a cultural group within a larger culture that has the same interests, beliefs, behaviors, or religion. Subcultures varies from things like southern food culture, to things like bodybuilding. The strangest subcultures to me are the vampires, and the bronies. There were some more in mind, but these are the two that stood out the most to me. Strangely enough, vampires are already in people's imagination. Now they have a cultural group just for their imagination. I'm not trying to seem disrespectful to the vampire subculture, but it's honestly strange that they think they are real vampires. This lifestyle formed in the western culture, stemming from horror films, and overall styles of Victorian England. The vampire subculture is just like any other system of beliefs. They commit themselves to this lifestyle and participate in rituals. Continually, vampires dress themselves in gothic clothing with dark eye shadow, and black nail polish. In this vampire lifestyle, you will find blood donors who are people who allow the vampires to drink their actual blood. The donors are hard to find, but they are subservient to the vampires. There are different types of vampires within the vampire subculture. They have the sanguinarians, the psychic vampires, the living vampires, and the transcendental vampires. The sanguinarians who look at themselves as real ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Vampires Vs Modern Vampires Vampires are popular in contemporary culture. They are the go–to creatures, the phenomenon people love featuring in tv shows and movies such as The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. They both show modern depictions of what vampires would be like in this day–in–age. Though, both shows embodied the idealism of modern–age vampires; they each have their own depiction on how they should act, look, and how each plot of the show should be carried out. True Blood's involvement in these elements is what made the show successful, not only that, but they even explored social issues about discrimination, religion, and equal rights. Each tv show was a success on its own. True Blood is one of the most talked about tv shows today. Alan Ball, the creator of the series, wanted to illustrate these fictional vampires as these lifeless creatures with pale–like skin, razor– sharp fangs, and a lust for blood. They are normal in appearance, making it impossible to detect who they were unless you triggered their inhumane nature. These characters were assimilating with humanity, trying to disguise their inhumane nature. Whereas in The Vampire Diaries, Julia Plec, writer, and creator of the show, made her characters appear stranger. Their eyes would change according to their hunger, their pale and cold skin would mimic a dead corpse, and their canine teeth would go smoothly through warm–blooded bodies. The vampires in each show are intended to appear as humanly as possible, whilst experiencing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The Vampire Evolution Of The Novel ' Vampire ' Dalia Rebin Asti 12/11/14 HUM 102 The Vampire Evolution From all the way back to when the Romantic period started around the 18th century right up to today's 21st century, vampires have completely evolved. They went from being heartless bloodthirsty killers to supernatural creatures that just want to live a normal life. From the beginning vampires have been night walkers that sleep throughout the day due to them being prone to sunburn, they've always had this peculiar yet charming attraction about them, and have a constant thirst for blood. Throughout this time period many detailed elements and features have been added to the vampire's life cycle. The Vampyre by John Polidori was written in 1819 which was when vampires were newly introduced to the world. In this text we have the innocent victim Aubrey who ends up meeting this unusual but attractive man named Lord Ruthven who was a vampire all along. Focusing on Lord Ruthven, he was a pale and quite strange man that attracted females very easily. He was very secretive and would suddenly vanish out of nowhere. When Aubrey agreed to go travelling with Lord Ruthven, he came across a woman he was attracted to named Ianthe; she enlightened him about vampires and warned him to be aware since they exist. Oddly, she ends up getting killed by one which is Lord Ruthven within that same week. I've noticed while doing this project that vampires don't want humans to know who they really are and if they find out they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Vampires : Are They Real And If So? Vampires: Are they real And If So, Are They a Threat to Society? There has been stories in the magazine, in the newspapers and on televisions about people who claim to be vampire and are practicing the Vampire culture. So the question here is, are these people who claim to be vampires really vampires and if they are, are they a treat to the society. The purpose of this essay is to investigate and find out more about vampire, their origin, the different types, their beliefs and practices, and if they are really a treat to the society. There are a lot of movies, books and stories about the existence of vampires, but many people still think it is a myth and vampires never existed. To start, where do Vampires come from? People have been educated through the media and books that, vampires are creatures that are created when a human being is bitten by another vampire and afterward feeds on blood. The movies specify that one will not fully turn into a vampire unless he or she drinks blood. Most movies even show them as bad for the society. Movies such as blade, Dracula and vampire diary all show how human beings turn into vampires. According to Browning, "Vampires self–described nature begins to manifest around or after puberty" (4). A person who is a vampire does not discover it until he or she reaches adolescence age. Vampires has been known throughout existence and people actually believe that they really do exist. Billy knew Damon was into BDSM, but he himself didn't think he would enjoy being spanked, whipped, or chained. Leather, on the other hand, was a bit interesting... Before he could take that thought any further, Billy sensed David coming up the stairs. Laying back on the bed (with fresh, clean sheets, of course) and waited. David opened the door smiling and shut it behind himself. Walking slowly over to Billy, he started unbuttoning his black dress shirt. David climbed on top of the vampire and pressed his lips to Billy's. Billy opened his mouth as a silent invitation and moaned as David's warm tongue slid into his mouth. Their tongues wrestled, but after a few seconds, Billy let David take full control; he wasn't the dominant type. David's warm hand slid down between them both and cupped Billy's hard on. Billy gasped in pleasure and pushed lightly against David's palm. David bent down and licked Billy's bottom lip and smiled as he felt Billy's hips lift up in an attempt to grind him, but David was going to make the night last. Suddenly, Billy spoke. Well, more groaned, "Lucas, won't you join us?" The door opened and then shut and Lucas stepped into the room smirking. "Mmm, I'd love to, but only if you want me to." • 13. The Vampire in Folklore vs the Vampire in Literature The vampire, from folklore to literature is described as a "dead person that awakens in the night to suck the blood out of the living". (Bartlett, pg 1) The evolution of the vampire itself has seen drastic changes from the time of the vampire in folklore; where he was seen as a scapegoat, being the cause of the plagues and had to be killed to restore a healthy civilization to, Bram Stocker's literary vampire; where the vampire had become the heroic figure and had to be blamed for all the victims that had past. Both of these are based on the Penguin English definition of a vampire but how is it that the vampire today has changed so drastically from the one people feared in legends and folklore. Throughout the story of Lord Byron, we find out later on that he is a vampire and that he has very much so human characteristics. Edward is the same since he tends to have human emotions for a girl. Carol A. Sanf sais so herself when making this statement ." twentieth century writers and directors often portray the vampire as a more sympathetic character than he had been in either folklore or literature." (Senf, pg 3) Although Lord Byron might not have shown sympathetic emotions, we see him as the hero because he tries to resolve the conflicts that have arose throughout the story. The movie Twilight does this even more by making Edward fight his superiors for a girl he has feelings for. Lastly we have noticed that the vampire in movies often starts to have feelings for a girl that has become more than sexual attention. The Lilith from Stu Burns "A short history of vampire folklore" is seen as a demon that has sex with men before eating the flesh out of them. These characteristics are very familiar in folklore because vampires would often show sexual attention before eating their victims. Most of my favorite films are vampire horror movies, and I believe the first one I had seen was The Lost Boys, which sparked my interest. These tantalizing, young, and erotically appealing creatures called out to my soul and they haven't let go of me. The glamorization of vampires has reinvented the depiction of the notorious monster. Vampires are not fully human, nor fully animal, neither fully alive nor fully dead. In a variety of aspects, they are superior beings. • 17. The Age Of The Vampire The Age of the Vampire From Literature to Twilight, Vampires have been in the public eye for decades. The characteristics may change as will the looks but they have the same amount of popularity. It all started in 1897, the writings of Bram Stoker gave the world the story of Dracula. This story is considered the source material for all vampires to follow. Many of the characteristics laid out in Dracula can still be easily found in current vampire movies. Though there was never a "golden age" for vampire movies, as it is a subgenre for film, it did greatly participate in the golden age of horror films, giving greatly to the popularity of horror films. This popularity still demands a very active hold on film goers today. Bela Lugosi is the poster child for the character of Dracula. He set the tone for what a good vampire in the 1931 film Dracula. After Lugosi, Christopher Lee is the next person credited with the popularity of vampire movies. Lee has starred in 10 separate movies as Count Dracula, the quality of the movies and Lee's prior acting credits gave way to the resurgence of Dracula in the mid 1900's. All of these credits however mean nothing in the world of film without the movies that kicked everything off, Nosferatu, the 1922 film keeps true to the book Dracula. This allowed a new archetype to come to the world of film. This archetype however, has undergone dramatic changes over the decades. The novel begins with a vampire named Louis who is telling his life story to a mortal journalist named Daniel during an interview. People who practiced witchcraft, committed suicide, or were excommunicated by the church were certain to come back as vampires after death. If none of these signs were apparent during their life, a person could be identified as a vampire after death. If the corpse was buried face down or was jumped over by a cat, there was a chance that person would come back from the dead. Another indication from the grave would be if there was a small hole near the gravestone. It was believed that a vampire could enter and exit through a small hole near the headstone. This might be because of the fact that vampires were believed to be able to dissipate into a mist, or fog, and travel in that form, making it easy to slip through the hole near their headstone. Also in J. Gordon Melton's book The Vampire Book: Encyclopedia of the Undead, it was said that since people lived in such fear of these vampires, there were many precautions taken. For one, garlic would be placed in the mouth of the suspected corpse or millet seeds would be put in their coffin. This was because it was believed that the vampire would be postponed from coming out of the grave because it would need to take the time of eating it before leaving the coffin. This man was seen by many people of Romania as well as other parts of Europe, as a hero for his protection of the north and south Romanians in which he was later recognized and honored in his leadership. At first, he had many followers, but then they started to fade due to his practices of impaling his enemies, he was labeled "The Impeller." His reputation started to grow in a negative way because of the excessive cruelty. This excessiveness of cruelty against his enemies cause a lot of blood shedding in which this started the beginning of the vampire myth. Throughout time, we can see that the myth of vampires has not only stayed in Romania. We see it in literature dating back to the very beginning or discovery of this "creature" through the cruelty of Prince Vlad III. However, the portrayal of the vampire did not stay the same as time went by. The portrayal of vampirism has come long ways and changed as society did. The specific roles and details of the vampires are crafted in relation to what society wants. However, the symbolic meaning behind the vampire stays the same even if their role has changed; they represent what we both fear and desire as humans: beauty, strength, and immortality. • 41. The Notable Vampire is John William Polidori´s Vampire One of the most notable nineteenth century literary vampires is John William Polidori's vampire. Lord Ruthven– the man of mysterious past and one of the most charismatic and interesting nineteenth century vampires– is a Gothic villain that has been used by his creator (Polidori) as a social metaphor. How is that? It is worthy of note, as Christopher Frayling claims, that John William Polidori was the foremost nineteenth century authors whose penchant to blend together components of vampirism into a coherent literary genre was an immediate success in his ever prominent story The Vampyre. Here are some testimonial lines taken from Christopher Frayling's book Vampyres: Lord Byron to Count Dracula. In this book, Frayling writes:" Polidori transformed the vampire from a character in folklore into the form that is recognized today– an aristocratic fiend who preys among high society" (Frayling ) In this respect, Senf also writes:"Polidori's work anticipates some of the ways that other writers will use the vampire as a social metaphor in realistic fiction" (Senf: 39). On the basis of the evidence currently available, it seems fair to suggest that Polidori' s The Vampyre is not just a story of a monstrous figure of the vampire from folklore tradition waiting to be destroyed by a wooden stake through the heart, it is rather that kind of nineteenth century vampire whose literary presence is highly loaded with metaphorical connotations. While some horror movie tropes seem to come and go, like mummies, witches, cannibals, those four genres never seem to disappear. Every couple of months a new haunted house movie comes out, and since the start of AMC's The Walking Dead, zombies have not even taken a break. Even considering how popular zombies are now, there is one type of creature that we will always be plagued with; the vampire. Just in the 21st century we have had dozens of vampire based movies and shows: Van Helsing, Blade, Vampire Diaries, Twilight, True Blood, no matter the genre directors always find some way to add vampires to it. That is the true curse of the vampire. Before vampires were turned into crazy love/sex dramas for teens, they use to bring fear to people, not romance. Germany was out of balance and they needed to choose their establishment, they feared that tyranny would be bad, but enjoyed watching the horrors of tyranny in film (Kracauer, p. 76). Vampire films like Nosferatu and Dracula star a tyrannical, unstoppable man and the citizens are powerless to fight back against his reign and his lust. Could they drink an animal's blood as well? If they were restricted to humans, the extinction of our race would in turn mean the extinction of theirs. It was thrilling to these readers to see the exotic nature of the vampire transposed onto their daily lives. However popular as a literary device in the nineteenth century, vampirism has existed from the first recordings of history. This phenomenon can probably be traced to a time when man was hunter and observed the fact that as blood drained from the body, so too did life. It was believed that by applying blood to the body or drinking it, one would obtain the essence of the person from whom the blood flowed (McNally and Florescu 144). Indeed, the importance of blood for the sake of sacrifice was, in antiquity, believed to be a universal practice. This script attempts to do this with an intriguing twist that vampires battle vampires. This concept has merit. While there are strengths and weaknesses to the script, the script, overall, would benefit from more development. There are several features that are worth discussing. One concern about the script is that because of the ensemble cast, there isn't a strong protagonist that drives the plot. While it appears that John is the protagonist, he doesn't have a clear goal, nor does he drive the story. In fact, because of the opening with first Sebastian and then Veronica, it's a bit challenging to know who the true protagonist really is. At first, one thinks the protagonist is Veronica. The opening of her attacking her attacker is solid. The audience likes her and is hooked. The reveal of her fangs is strong. It sets the tone. Unfortunately, then more characters are introduced, and while Veronica has some strong moments in the script, she doesn't drive the plot. Because there isn't a solid hero or goal identified, the script's plotline and structure feels fragmented and wanders. One keeps wondering what's the story about and what's the objective. When the car hits Cybelle, one thinks this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 61. Vampires And Vampires : The Dangers Of Vampires Fear is something we all crave, well at least the excitement factor of the fear. Take haunted houses for instance, they bring in millions of dollars a year. People clamber to get to the scariest most terrifying haunted houses each Halloween. But why? Why would someone want to be intentionally scared? Or take an amusement park. Each summer people stand in long lines, in the heat of the summer all to ride a less than 30–second roller coaster that whips them around like a rag doll. It is because humans are naturally thrill seekers in some shape or form. We love the adrenaline high we get from chasing the next big wave. Modern vampires (as I mentioned before) are considered "heartthrobs" in todays society. Think of films like the TWILIGHT saga where vampires can walk during the day, have sex and even have children. They are the teenage heartthrob mixed with the proverbial "badboy". Vampires are the perfect mix of gentleman and monster. They hold this mysteriousness that is very alluring, it draws people in. People love a mystery, especially and dark, sexy mystery. It turns people on. It is the red apple in the story of Adam and Eve. It's temptation, our biggest weakness as humans. Another thing that makes the vampire, so alluring is their ability to control a person. They are the masters of manipulation because, in order to successfully seduce their victims, they must be invited. They must also seduce their victim. • 65. The Influence Of Vampires The popularity of vampires in films has increased dramatically over the past decade or so. Films such as Van Helsing, Fright night and Twilight have all paved the way for a new type of vampire that appeals to the audience for several different reasons. Leaving a lot of the traditional vampire traits behind, these films have created a new attractive vampire and in the case of twilight, a vampire that has feelings and emotions and does not want to drink human blood. These more modern vampires are not only more appealing to the viewer; they are also signifiers of the modern culture in which we live in today. In Van Helsing, the three brides of Dracula are strikingly beautiful women and Jerry the vampire in Fright Night is very handsome, and this fact is remarked by the female characters in the film on several occasions. The fact that these new modern vampires are seen as very sexual and extremely attractive individuals shows that the modern audience of the 21st century needs to be visually stimulated in more ways than one. The saying 'sex sells' does indeed apply here. Along with being stimulated visually by the camera effects of these movies, audiences like looking at people who are attractive. This attractiveness adds to the appeal of vampires even more as they are becoming sexier, more enticing and even more alluring. Taking the aforementioned points into account, another vampire phenomenon which has hit the 21st century must be discussed. The Twilight Saga, which shows vampires in almost a completely different light, has swept across the world and has gathered a very strong and loyal fan base. In Twilight, vampires are seen to have feelings and emotion, and they also want to abstain from drinking human blood, well the majority do. • 67. Are Etruscans Vampires Are Etruscans Really Vampires? Pop culture and Hollywood has long entertained us for decades with vampires like Dracula in literature, movies, and television shows. Vampires are normally portrayed as blood–sucking creatures with fangs that lived in a coffin and only came out at night since the sun would burn their fair skin. And let us not forget their romantic quest to seduce a human to satisfy their thirst for human blood. A fascinating characteristic has been their ability to live forever unless a stake is driven through the heart. Today you may see vampires portrayed as a beautiful person such as Edward Cullen in New Moon, The Twilight Saga movie where he is trying to fit into the high school scene by being strong and sensitive, nevertheless, ... The honeycombs were made from a distinct grapevine that grew by the rivers only to be created by traveling beekeepers. This is a very telling statement that discredits the idea that the Etruscans were vampires and lived underground. The room had been destroyed by fire; however, the honeycombs were preserved in their original deposition so that samples of the melted honey were determined to be of an early–cultivated variation of grapevine. The samples revealed that the honeybees had been feasting on plants like grapevines and water lilies, some which were not native to the Etruria region. This would have suggested that the honeycomb hives and bees were collected via floating down the riverbanks and brought back to the trade center. When the beehives became full of honey and heavy enough to lower their boats into the water, they would return home to extract the honey. This knowledge leads us to believe the Etruscans possessed a particular type of beekeeping known only to them. Again, this suggests that the Etruscans never spent life underground or never exposed to sunlight (Lorenzi, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In these legends, vampires are brutal, heartless, half–decayed creatures. For example, Slavic mythology has a belief that a vampire won't get out of grave if you throw some corn inside. The vampire will count corns all night long. But the image of a vampire has changed. Today it is an mysterious sexy superstar that kept its peculiar traits: love of blood, hate for garlic, and fear for the sun. If medical science can identify genes within the human race as mutations, and therefore, the people who have them as mutations, or mutants, then why can't a subculture of otherwise healthy people call themselves vampires. According to an Indian lady Issabella, "she said that practically every culture in the world has some sort of ancient story about a blood–sucking creature that relates to the vampire. India is no exception. In fact, Indian mythology has several creatures that could easily be considered 'vampiric' in relation to the modern view of the vampire. Some match our modern description better than others, but all play a role in vampire mythology. A malevolent female spirit called the Chedipe rode naked into homes on the backs of tigers and drank men's blood through their toes while they slept. This is indeed vampiric behavior, but the resulting effects have the man drained of energy rather than killed or transformed. Bak, in his essay 'Post/modern Dracula: from Victorian themes to postmodern praxis' says. "Coppola inverts Stoker's horror story and turns it into a love story, in order to establish the central theme that universal love, not hate is what will ultimately save humanity from evil." Another interesting angle to using the vampire narrative as a tool in Christian hegemony is that 'holy' ground is never the deterrent to the vampire. It is always holy 'Christian' ground. Religious artefacts don't prove fatal to the vampire, 'Christian' religious artefacts do. The idea that all religions are equal, and other religions may also play a deterrent role never comes up. This, despite the fact that modern day vampire narratives are exploring the realms of vampire history, and have traced vampiric lineage all the way to Egypt during the time of the Pharaohs. However, the Christian undercurrents remain. The image of a vampire unable to enter a mosque, or a temple or a synagogue are yet to be seen, even though the concepts of vampires have existed for millennia with demonic entities considered the precursor to the modern vampire seen in ancient cultures ranging from Mesopotamians, Romans, Ancient Greeks and Hebrews. They are defined as something evil, greedy, and using other's blood and live to satisfy their needs. Based on these characteristics, we can easily think of an abominable lawyer whose does not care about right or wrong but always believe and defend the person whose pay. Likewise, for a landlord, what they need is the rental payment to help to support their life. • 77. Vampire Vs. Vampire Myth Vampires within literature and film traditionally follow a similar archetype of what a vampire consists of and the traits they harbor. Many European and Western vampire narratives share similar appearances, habits and afflictions. Most readers and viewers are extensively familiar with what they believe a vampire to be most often comparing these vampires to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Dracula is the quintessential example of modern vampires and has a significant and lasting impact on the genre of vampires both from the novel and subsequent films. Simply put, most individuals are familiar with the traditional vampire, who is generally a fair skinned male that drinks the blood from victim's necks with sharp pointy fangs. These vampires are most often depicted as being fearful of Christian symbolism, being deterred with crosses and holy water. Traditional vampire novels provide a framework that fill us with preconceived notions of what it means to be a vampire yet there are many examples of the vampire myth within other novels that attempt to turn this narrative on it's head and change what we believe to be a true vampire. This archetypal vampire exists differently in many cultures around the world and every society has a different conception of what a vampire is. The myth of the vampire allows individuals to connect with a dark, mysterious part of themselves. This myth is often associated with sexuality and gender roles, showing a development over time.
