 A regulatory Body is a type of company for
agency of governmental power, company’s
need to make sure they follow the legal laws
in media. Company’s need to make sure they
follow the certain or illegal action can be put
in place. There are different companies that if
ever media companies go against the law
these three companies can make sure action
is taken place. They are put their to protect
the national broadcasting services, such as
TV and Radio.
 The radio is regulated in many ways, there
are many different systems and things to
keep of the radio industry stable and
regulated, the main way its regulated is by
regulatory bodies which are different
companies that are to protects the
broadcasting of the radio from any
inappropriate content.
 Ofcom is the governmental regulatory and
competition rule for the broadcasting,
telecommunications and postal media sectors of
the United Kingdom.
 Ofcom protects television, radio, and other
media sectors from harmful or offensive material.
OFCOM is a well-known company in the media
industry and it faces many issues, there are so
many things in the world that is inappropriate
and shouldn’t be in the media. Ofcom covers all
media sectors such as TV, Radio and telecoms
and mobile networks.
 The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The
UKs main advertisement company, Our work
includes acting on complaints and proactively
checking the media to take action against
misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements.
They have the power to ban adverts if they broke
the rules. This company is the most unknown
regulatory bodies in the media industy this is
because there is so many different companies
put in place to stop any ethical and issues being
broken in the media.
 The CRCA is the company that runs that
copyright laws in radio industry and if there
was a law suit concerning the media business
sector then the CRCA would get involved and
investigate the copyright claim made by the
media company, they get involved to solve
any copyright issues that have been raised.
 This is a very successful and useful company
for the radio, it helps and benefits them a lot.
 In 2013 PRS and MCPS-PRS Alliance realigned
their brands and became PRS for Music and The
Mechanical Copyright Protection Society. PRS for
music represents members performing rights,
whenever a piece of music is played or performed
in any public space or place outside of the home.
Every time the piece of music gets played
performed, performing right royalties are paid to
the song writer, composer or published whenever
their piece of music get played in a public place.
The payment might not be a lot but it is a
payment and if the song gets played many times
their will be a lot of money will be

Regulation

  • 2.  A regulatory Body is a type of company for agency of governmental power, company’s need to make sure they follow the legal laws in media. Company’s need to make sure they follow the certain or illegal action can be put in place. There are different companies that if ever media companies go against the law these three companies can make sure action is taken place. They are put their to protect the national broadcasting services, such as TV and Radio.
  • 3.  The radio is regulated in many ways, there are many different systems and things to keep of the radio industry stable and regulated, the main way its regulated is by regulatory bodies which are different companies that are to protects the broadcasting of the radio from any inappropriate content.
  • 4.  Ofcom is the governmental regulatory and competition rule for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal media sectors of the United Kingdom.  Ofcom protects television, radio, and other media sectors from harmful or offensive material. OFCOM is a well-known company in the media industry and it faces many issues, there are so many things in the world that is inappropriate and shouldn’t be in the media. Ofcom covers all media sectors such as TV, Radio and telecoms and mobile networks.
  • 5.  The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The UKs main advertisement company, Our work includes acting on complaints and proactively checking the media to take action against misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements. They have the power to ban adverts if they broke the rules. This company is the most unknown regulatory bodies in the media industy this is because there is so many different companies put in place to stop any ethical and issues being broken in the media.
  • 6.  The CRCA is the company that runs that copyright laws in radio industry and if there was a law suit concerning the media business sector then the CRCA would get involved and investigate the copyright claim made by the media company, they get involved to solve any copyright issues that have been raised.  This is a very successful and useful company for the radio, it helps and benefits them a lot.
  • 7.  In 2013 PRS and MCPS-PRS Alliance realigned their brands and became PRS for Music and The Mechanical Copyright Protection Society. PRS for music represents members performing rights, whenever a piece of music is played or performed in any public space or place outside of the home. Every time the piece of music gets played performed, performing right royalties are paid to the song writer, composer or published whenever their piece of music get played in a public place.
