1. REFLECTION
Each person has its own character, behavior and personality and knowing the three
divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory which is Id, Ego and Superego. Id, is the
completely unconscious and is the source of psychic energy derived from instinctual
needs and drives, while Ego, serves as the organized conscious mediator between the
person and reality especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to
reality and Superego represents internalization of parental conscience and the rules of
society, and functions to reward and punish through a system of moral attitudes,
conscience, and a sense of guilt. Knowing these three divisions, I realized that this is one
of the perfect lessons to learners like me and I was very much thankful that I encounter
this topic. Since it is very helpful of the persons like me, because it given me an idea how
to handle myself and also it serves a guidance to me on how to handle my Id, Ego and
Superego. That is why if we made decisions in our life we must think first before we act,
because if we made the right choices based on our Id, Ego and Superego it will make our
life successful and we will not regret the actions, decisions and verdicts that we made in
life.
