WVOC-2GC2-Eva, Jesse, Rob, Stephanie
Eva’s reflection
Similar is the list of suggestions for the shop owners. The different online stores are also the same.
They told the name of the online shop and what you can buy there. There are also pictures from the shop.
They haven’t got information about their own town centre. Like: What can you do in your town centre? Or: Are
there many shops? Het map of their region is also not very clear…
The photo’s are very good. They are clear. The conclusions are also good. It’s clear and the information is good.
The conclusion is enough. There is many information and it’s good looking.
I don’t know what I want to chance on the information. We have nearly the same information.
We have both asked people from different ages.
They have reported the information very clear. I think we could also write the hole interview down.
We worked very well together. We made some good appointments.
We finished the project before the deadline.
I think we can divide the task better. However, there weren’t any problems.
I did research for the different online shops, I have made the interview questions, I have made the action plan and I
have token the photos. Stephanie and I went to the shopping centre to do the interviews.
I have send the information on time. I have also made good appointments with Stephanie for the
interviews.
I think I mustn’t worry all the time about projects like this.
We learned to trust each other and make good appointments.
Stephanie’s reflection
They didn’t show where in India the town was only a map of the town and the centre.
They haven’t got individual information about the shopping centre.
The online stores might be a bit more extensive. We told the ‘story’ about the online stores in real
sentences.
The shop-owner interviews are very extensive, GREAT! We didn’t do that.
We had enough information. Maybe we could put some interview questions in the PowerPoint.
We asked questions to our family and random shop owners. I think that was OK!
I think we reported the information very well! Maybe I had to use less sentence and write it more abstract.
We just did our own part of the project. When Rob had too much to do I helped or did that part. It was nice with
each other.
We agreed with each other most of the time, so that’s good!
We finished our project at the right time. Before the deadline I finished my part 4 days before the deadline!
Maybe Eva and I did a lot but I have no problems with that. I really like to do it!
I made the PowerPoint ( a lot of work with moving effects and time effects that don’t work on the SlideShare)
I made the maps. The attractive part. Shorted things and watched the spelling control. Eva, Jesse and I did the
interviews in the shopping centre and the interviews at home.
I’m very proud of the PowerPoint. And I think I did the other things well too, but I think I had to shorten some
things.
In this group we didn’t look at the action plan a lot we just did it and made sure we had everything on time. But I
think in other groups you have to hold you to the plan, I’m not good at that. I learned watching for what others
do and to trust each other.
Rob’s reflection
 Our subject was shopping. It was cool to see the other people do the
same things a lot different from us. We had the same subject as the
others. They didn’t have a PowerPoint like us but they did the things
they needed to. They didn’t talk about their town centre and what kind
of shops there are there. They had very good interviews. I didn’t do a
lot but I helped with making things for the PowerPoint. We also made a
video. It was really fun to do that. We had a lot of fun in our group and
we worked together. Next time I think we could improve our load
balancing. The thing I could improve next time is ask what I need to do
and how. I really like the project and the group.
What are the similarities and differences of the findings from 2 other groups compared with your findings for each of
the subquestions.
How effective are the 2 other groups in answering the subquestions.
What information is missing? Why?
What information is adequate? Why?
What information is sufficient? Why?
After reading the 2 other reports, reflect on how would you would change your research with regards to:
What information you collected?
Which people you asked?
How you reported the information?
Reflect about your participation in the group. Answer each of these questions.
How did the group work together?
What did you do well as a group?
What can you improve on as a group?
What was your contribution to the project?
What did you do well individually?
What can you improve on individually?
What was the most important things you learned individually about working in a group from this project?
Jesse’s reflection
 What information is missing? Why? They forgot to add things other than clothes in the conclusions.
 What information is adequate? Why? Well, they added info on the shops, something we didn’t, because we
didn’t give specific shop names
 What information is sufficient? Why? The little map with the shopping area, because it has no use to let people
know what our neighbourhood looks like
 After reading the 2 other reports, reflect on how would you would change your research with regards to:
 What information you collected? Number of shops, interviews through social media
 Which people you asked? Family, mostly
 How you reported the information? I noted the answers in a word document
 Reflect about your participation in the group. Answer each of these questions.
 How did the group work together? The group worked together fairly well. Some of us were more serious about
it than others, but not everyone is perfect
 What did you do well as a group? We cooperated well, I think
 What can you improve on as a group? Well, we can sometimes be more serious. If you’ve seen the bloopers, you
can see we goofed around a LOT
 What was your contribution to the project? I recorded the video, uploaded everything
 What did you do well individually? I think the video editing and info gathering went pretty well
 What can you improve on individually? Honestly, I think I can learn how to edit videos and such better. There’s
always room for improvement
 What was the most important things you learned individually about working in a group from this project?
Communication is key
 We all enjoyed the project and the teamwork was good!
 We didn’t learn a lot about it. Because the most conclusions were
how we expected them to be.
 But we learned things about the shopping in India! That was
interesting!
 The contact with the other school was very cool!
 Of course we practiced our English a lot and we learned new
words.
 We liked working on our conclusion video the most!
Overall it was a very nice project!

They didn’t have a PowerPoint like us but they did the things they needed to. They didn’t talk about their town centre and what kind of shops there are there. They had very good interviews. I didn’t do a lot but I helped with making things for the PowerPoint. We also made a video. It was really fun to do that. We had a lot of fun in our group and we worked together. Next time I think we could improve our load balancing. The thing I could improve next time is ask what I need to do and how. I really like the project and the group.
  • 6. What are the similarities and differences of the findings from 2 other groups compared with your findings for each of the subquestions. How effective are the 2 other groups in answering the subquestions. What information is missing? Why? What information is adequate? Why? What information is sufficient? Why? After reading the 2 other reports, reflect on how would you would change your research with regards to: What information you collected? Which people you asked? How you reported the information? Reflect about your participation in the group. Answer each of these questions. How did the group work together? What did you do well as a group? What can you improve on as a group? What was your contribution to the project? What did you do well individually? What can you improve on individually? What was the most important things you learned individually about working in a group from this project?

  • 8. Jesse’s reflection  What information is missing? Why? They forgot to add things other than clothes in the conclusions.  What information is adequate? Why? Well, they added info on the shops, something we didn’t, because we didn’t give specific shop names  What information is sufficient? Why? The little map with the shopping area, because it has no use to let people know what our neighbourhood looks like  After reading the 2 other reports, reflect on how would you would change your research with regards to:  What information you collected? Number of shops, interviews through social media  Which people you asked? Family, mostly  How you reported the information? I noted the answers in a word document  Reflect about your participation in the group. Answer each of these questions.  How did the group work together? The group worked together fairly well. Some of us were more serious about it than others, but not everyone is perfect  What did you do well as a group? We cooperated well, I think  What can you improve on as a group? Well, we can sometimes be more serious. If you’ve seen the bloopers, you can see we goofed around a LOT  What was your contribution to the project? I recorded the video, uploaded everything  What did you do well individually? I think the video editing and info gathering went pretty well  What can you improve on individually? Honestly, I think I can learn how to edit videos and such better. There’s always room for improvement  What was the most important things you learned individually about working in a group from this project? Communication is key
  • 9.  We all enjoyed the project and the teamwork was good!  We didn’t learn a lot about it. Because the most conclusions were how we expected them to be.  But we learned things about the shopping in India! That was interesting!  The contact with the other school was very cool!  Of course we practiced our English a lot and we learned new words.  We liked working on our conclusion video the most! Overall it was a very nice project!
