>>Digital Networking VS Face-to-Face Networking<<
Hello friends and contacts.
This time I would like to write and ask for your kindly point of view about this matter.
Since long time in my professional life, I have been experience changes in the digital frontier or digital "world". I had the
opportunity to be part of the beginning of the digital implementation in 1995-1997 serving the main carrier in Mexico,
so now, the modern people is using the plenty digital technology to browse internet, 4G networks, new generation
networks and mobile apps using to do networking with others thinking that is the newest technology ever made, well, it
is in some manner!! Just let you know I was able to see it once it was born some decades ago, for sure some people
here was a child or even a baby.
In that time, my first job while I was studying in the University, was regarding to cabling and interconnecting for the
digital equipment permitting, in a future, the digital transformation. Do you know how I got that job? Reading the
newspaper, the classified part. Then I called the potential employer and we agreed an appointment. Did the interview
and wow, I got my first employment.
After that, all the jobs I have been working around, including in Europe and the United States, have been by REFERRALS,
by coworkers, by friends, by good people I have been meeting in a long journey, in my life time.
Maybe it is time to return to the old school, so, if there is someone with a good job proposal, and mainly with intentions
to say Hi and talk with me about it, please let me know the preferred place to have a cup of tea or coffee, have a real
and natural interview with a proper answer, yes or no I am the right candidate to fill some position or continue along
with my quest.
Just a comment about searching job, in the next picture, we can see how much difficult is to get a job using social
networking, you would like to answer these questions:
There are many more opportunities in the hidden job market than in the traditional job market. Where are we looking
for jobs? Where should we be looking for jobs?
Ask to your HHRR professional what the HIDDEN JOB MARKET is? Or just see and think about the fishes in the picture
and reading the explanation 
I am not saying this kind of networks are not useful at all, they are useful in many manners, reading statistics, good
articles, just to talk (or write) with good people. And why not, have a job. Just let´s see the next image:
I am just suggesting and questioning myself, about, the time we are spending where we are looking for a job. My
thoughts are, we have to turn around, maybe to the old school, when a handshake was the beginning of our dreamed
job.
Let´s make real friends!!, not only virtually. See this kind of networking:
We have to rescue the Human part of these processes, we need each other, HHRR and candidates, let´s do, with respect,
answer back all the enquiries we have, like we do in person. Social networks sometimes are comfortable because we can
ignore or delete a conversation, try to do the same in person without not feeling bad about it, do you see the point?
I am just writing what I am thinking tonight, after business hours, after had a dinner with family and talk about our day. I
am not doing these to have a debate because everybody has different point of view, just comment, please, not fighting,
ok?

Digital networking vs face to face networking

  • 1. >>Digital Networking VS Face-to-Face Networking<< Hello friends and contacts. This time I would like to write and ask for your kindly point of view about this matter. Since long time in my professional life, I have been experience changes in the digital frontier or digital "world". I had the opportunity to be part of the beginning of the digital implementation in 1995-1997 serving the main carrier in Mexico, so now, the modern people is using the plenty digital technology to browse internet, 4G networks, new generation networks and mobile apps using to do networking with others thinking that is the newest technology ever made, well, it is in some manner!! Just let you know I was able to see it once it was born some decades ago, for sure some people here was a child or even a baby. In that time, my first job while I was studying in the University, was regarding to cabling and interconnecting for the digital equipment permitting, in a future, the digital transformation. Do you know how I got that job? Reading the newspaper, the classified part. Then I called the potential employer and we agreed an appointment. Did the interview and wow, I got my first employment. After that, all the jobs I have been working around, including in Europe and the United States, have been by REFERRALS, by coworkers, by friends, by good people I have been meeting in a long journey, in my life time. Maybe it is time to return to the old school, so, if there is someone with a good job proposal, and mainly with intentions to say Hi and talk with me about it, please let me know the preferred place to have a cup of tea or coffee, have a real and natural interview with a proper answer, yes or no I am the right candidate to fill some position or continue along with my quest. Just a comment about searching job, in the next picture, we can see how much difficult is to get a job using social networking, you would like to answer these questions: There are many more opportunities in the hidden job market than in the traditional job market. Where are we looking for jobs? Where should we be looking for jobs?
  • 2. Ask to your HHRR professional what the HIDDEN JOB MARKET is? Or just see and think about the fishes in the picture and reading the explanation  I am not saying this kind of networks are not useful at all, they are useful in many manners, reading statistics, good articles, just to talk (or write) with good people. And why not, have a job. Just let´s see the next image: I am just suggesting and questioning myself, about, the time we are spending where we are looking for a job. My thoughts are, we have to turn around, maybe to the old school, when a handshake was the beginning of our dreamed job. Let´s make real friends!!, not only virtually. See this kind of networking:
  • 3. We have to rescue the Human part of these processes, we need each other, HHRR and candidates, let´s do, with respect, answer back all the enquiries we have, like we do in person. Social networks sometimes are comfortable because we can ignore or delete a conversation, try to do the same in person without not feeling bad about it, do you see the point? I am just writing what I am thinking tonight, after business hours, after had a dinner with family and talk about our day. I am not doing these to have a debate because everybody has different point of view, just comment, please, not fighting, ok? Thank you and best regards.
