My PE Experience
My PE experience I would like to think was different and special. For maybe 60% of
the year, I was injured due to my sports. I had a torn quad from soccer for 2 months
and then a concussion from skiing for 5 months. Because of those injuries, I wasn
t able to participate in class so that gave me a lot of time to reflect, observe and
learn from my peers from the view of an outsider. For once in my life, I was not
caught up in everything and got to take a step back and really look at what was

these 14 lives have multiple influences effecting their thoughts and decisions.
Particularly I will discuss the influences of class, family, race, and gender and
determine whether or not the patterns demonstrated at age seven correspond to the
patterns at fourteen. The children selected for the longitudinal study classes
ranged from very wealthy (Suzy Bruce) to living in a charity boarding school
(Symon Paul). An appealing difference between the classes was what they thought
about money and more specifically if they were aware of the differences between
rich and poor. John and Charles shared similar thoughts that it is a good idea to pay
to go to schools as if they did not the poor would come rushing in (Charles) and
schools would become nasty and crowded (John). This attitude is demonstrated as
well at the party when John stated that some of the children there were very dirty.

Recovering From Mistakes
People all around the world will make terrible mistakes, but overcoming mistakes
will only guide and build one to success. In the memoir Hole In My Life, by Jack
Gantos, the main character Jack was a brilliant writer looking for a job to pay for
his college tuition. For 10 thousand dollars he agreed to sail a boat with 2 thousand
pounds of hash along with another man, to New York City. Jack is anxious,
determined to live a better life, and impetuous to when making important decisions.
Jack is naturally an anxious person, and he lives his life on angst. Shortly after
getting on a boat with Rik and Hamilton, Jack accepts their risky smuggling

swims back to shore to start the drive home, All the way [home] I kept saying to
myself now settle down and think. Think what you re about to do. Be careful. Think

Piece Of Equipment Essay

I have been asked to design and build a piece of equipment using the available
apparatus that follows the diagram below.
The design we came up with is in the picture below and the reason I came up with
this simple design is because it seemed the easiest in order to do the simple job.
The components we used were
240v main supply
This was simply a lead that came from the house mains and plugged into an adapter
that brought the amps down to 3amp as the circuit wasn t going to need a lot of
current to work and then plugged into the transformer.
Transformer
I then used a transformer to change the voltage from 240v ac down to 15v ac. The

We used 2 limit switches that also stopped the circuit if the yaw point went too far
they would push the limit switch and stop the relays that powered the motor.
Motor
The motor we used was a 12v dc motor. This motor moved both clockwise and
anticlockwise when polarity was changed through the way the relays are wired.
When we wired up this circuit and done a few tests on it we found that because it
was a dc circuit it had some voltage drop. We done a calculation to figure out what
would be the best size of capacitor we could put into the circuit in order to smooth it
out.

V= change in voltage
C= 0.5A x 0.02/15
=0.5x0.001333
=0.0006F

We then placed 1x 470uF and 2x 100uF capacitor in parallel and tested the wave
form again and it showed a more clear and steady wave than before. We then knew

we had this problem sorted.
When it came to wiring the circuit, I realised that all we need was 12v to power the
relay and motor but the motor was going far too fast so what I done was put a
voltage regulator that changed the voltage from 15v dc to 5v dc which I then used to
power the motor. However, I still used the 12v dc to power the coil on the relay as if
I didn t do this the coil on

was our neutrality. The United States had a neutrality policythat had kept us from

thing in holding us back because many people agreed with it and did not want to
