Founded in 1947, California by Ahmet
Ertegun and Herb Abramson. Atlantic
records can boast names such as Ed
Sheeran, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert and Jay Z, to
name a few.
The CEO is Craig Kallman and has been
since 2005. It has parental groups of Warner
Music and WMG Acquisition Corp.
As a genre of music is concerend there is
not a set genre, Ed Sheeran is a pop artist,
so are Migos however they are rappers, mainly
focusing on the genre of trap.

Atlantic have no real motto however, an interesting fact is that in 2004 they partnered with sister
company Elektra and created Atlanta Records Group.
This is self-distributing label, home to over 300 artists
As a label, Atlantic hold 49 number 1’s on the hot 100, songs such as ‘black and yellow’ by Wiz
Khalifa, ‘I hate u, I Love u’ by Gnash and ‘Bodak Yellow’ by Cardi B to name a few.
