Keycharacters – Three keycharacters,Adam, Ben andChloe.AdamandBen are bestmates,Chloe is
Adam’sgirlfriend. HoweveritturnsoutChloe hasbeencheatingonAdamwithBen,his bestmate.
Samirais Chloe’sbestmate,butshe onlymakesacameoappearance.
NRSScale – As the actors I am planningtocast are youngadults(17/18) theywouldfall intothe Class
of D, thisisnot ina disrespectfulmanor,anditisbecause theyare full time students.The reasonI
am castingstudentsisso mytarget audience of youngadultsrelate tothe characterroles.
Pyschographicswouldhighlightmytargetaudience wouldbe the explorersastheyseekdiscovery,
and theyvalue adventure.Anindependenttype of persontypicallyayoungerdemographic
Synopsis(Breakdownof three clearacts)
ACT1 – Adamand Benare at Adamshouse playingXbox,musicisblastingandtheyare just
chilling, Adam’sphoneringsanditsChloe,hisgirlfriend,Adamlooksathisphone andgoesto
answer,howeverhe leaves ituntil he finisheshisgame.
An hourpassesbyand it realiseshe hasn’tphonedChloe back,he goestodo justthat butthere isno
answer.He triesagainbut yetthere isstill noanswer, we cut to a scene of where Chloe isandshe’s
on face time withherbestfriendSamira,talkingabouthow she hasdone somethingawfuland
doesn’tknowwhattodo. Samiraasks whatshe’sdone butit’sinterruptedbyanothercall from
Adam.Chloe finallypicksupbutisnot happybecause he hasn’tphonedherfora while andalso
interruptedaconversationwithSamira.
Chloe notices thatBeniswithhim.She doesn’treallywanttotalkto Adam, it’smore Benshe’s
interestedin. Chloe keepstalkingtobenandAdamis fine withitat firsthoweverthe more he thinks
aboutit he is annoyed.He finishesthe phone call withChloeandchuckshisphone tothe side in
anger.Benasks what’supand Adam repliessayingthathe thinksshe ischeatingonhim.
ACT2 – Chloe isonher phone;we don’tknow whatshe’slookingathoweverit’sevidentthatshe’s
on it.She thengetsa call fromher mumto go downstairsandas she getsup she plugsherphone
intocharge,as she leavesherroom,Bensendshera message,thenanotherandanother.
We cut to see Bensendingthese messages,he thengoestophone Chloe butthendecidesagainstit.
He thengoesto puthisshoeson as he’sjustaboutto leave hishouse,hisphone startstoringand
surprise,it’s Chloe we seemthemtalkinghowevermusicisoverthe top,thistransitionsintoAdam
inhis room,listeningtomusiche.We are cuttingbetweenChloeandBentalkingandAdamscrolling
throughhispicturesof himself andChloe,he triestophone herhoweveritcomesupwith‘user
busy’.
AdammessagesSamira,askingaboutChloe andhow she’sbeenactingweird of recent.Samira
simplyreplieswith‘Don’ttalktome abouther,god I don'twant to be friendswiththatsnake.This
worriesAdammore aboutthe whole cheatingside tohisthoughts.

We thencut back to Ben and Chloe finishingtheirconversation,Bengoestomessage Adambutthe
latterisphoningBen,‘Jhee,Iwasjustaboutto textyou,what’sup bro.I was textingyoutosay I
can’t come roundtonight,I got bareeee worktodoman sorry.’
Adamis silent,benkeepscallinghisname.The call endsandAdamthrowshisphone to the side ina
similarfashiontothatof earlier.
ACT3 – The followingmorning Adamisleavinghishouse;he shoutstohismum‘I’mjustgoingto
Chloe’squickly’ ashe arrivesat Chloe,he isslightlynervous,handstwitchingandhe keepsre
adjustinghishair.He knockson the door andthe isno answer,he phonesChloe andwe cutto it
ringing,Chloe realiseswhoitisandanswers.‘Canyouopenthe doorplease’it’swhatAdamsays,
whilsthe saysthat bensays‘Who isit?’ Adamhears thisandgets angry,he doesn'tknow itsbenbut
that doesn'tmatterhe’salreadymad.
Loud shoutingisheardandBenrealisesitisAdam, he doesn’tknow whattodo, Chloe isrushing
aroundpanicking,Adamstartsbangingat the door. Bengetshisstuff and runsout the back, Adam
has run roundto the back of the house toget in,he’sfuminghe seesbenandrunsafterhimhe
catchesup and hitsben,theyfightandChloe runsout to stopit,Ben swingsforAdamandmisses
hittingChloe inthe head. Benturnsto face Adam it’sa povshotfrom Benand adam punchesthe
camera we sendthe screenblackand thatthe endof the film.
Target Audience– Thisfilmisaimedandtargetedtowardsteenagers,howeverthe message
behinditcan be applicable toadultswhohave experiencedorare experiencingthe same thing.
Targetingthistowardsteenagerswillhopefullymake themaware of trustingpeople.
I hope to displaythistothe maindemographic bykeepingthe plottwisttoaminimal,bythisImean
that itwill hopefullybe notobviousonthe twistthatisgoingto happen,thiswill re inforce the
message behindthe film.
Withinthe primarydemographic,we’dseethe ‘aspirers’type thisisthe type of people whoare
orientedaroundapersonaand appearance.Inaddition,the filmwillbe shownonYouTube,meaning
it’sa free filmtowatch.This thenalsomakesadvertisingeasieronsocial mediasuchasInstagram
and snapchat,theirsimple ‘swipe up’feature hasbecome verypopularinrecentmonths,allowing
youto viewthe advertbysimplyswipinguponthe post.
Formand style – I will be filmingthisonahighspecDSLR, usinga highspec setof lenses
allowingme tocapture clean,professional shots.Iwill be lookingtoshare asimilarstyle tothatseen
inshirosstory,the reasonI have basedmy case studyonshirosstory isbecause the formand style
withinthatfilmissomethingthatappealedtome massively.Itisshotwitha lotof movement,alot

moneyor winawards,portrayingamessage shouldbe concise andstraighttothe point,thisiswhyI
feel there isnointentionsforasequel/prequel orspinoff.
YouTube isverymuch a platformwhichallowspeople toshowcase theirworkwhetheritbe highor
lowbudget.ThistiesintoYouTube’ssloganof ‘broadcastyourself’andalsoitallowsmyprimary
demographictoeasilyaccessthe film,the free platformwillallow audiencestowatchthe filmson
repeatandas manytimesastheylike.Inadditiontothis,videosthatare publishedontoYouTube
are a loteasierto share aroundthan say a filmthat’sinthe cinema

NRSScale – As the actors I am planningtocast are youngadults(17/18) theywouldfall intothe Class of D, thisisnot ina disrespectfulmanor,anditisbecause theyare full time students.The reasonI am castingstudentsisso mytarget audience of youngadultsrelate tothe characterroles. We cut to see Bensendingthese messages,he thengoestophone Chloe butthendecidesagainstit. He thengoesto puthisshoeson as he’sjustaboutto leave hishouse,hisphone startstoringand surprise,it’s Chloe we seemthemtalkinghowevermusicisoverthe top,thistransitionsintoAdam inhis room,listeningtomusiche.We are cuttingbetweenChloeandBentalkingandAdamscrolling throughhispicturesof himself andChloe,he triestophone herhoweveritcomesupwith‘user busy’. AdammessagesSamira,askingaboutChloe andhow she’sbeenactingweird of recent.Samira simplyreplieswith‘Don’ttalktome abouther,god I don'twant to be friendswiththatsnake.This worriesAdammore aboutthe whole cheatingside tohisthoughts.

Loud shoutingisheardandBenrealisesitisAdam, he doesn’tknow whattodo, Chloe isrushing aroundpanicking,Adamstartsbangingat the door. Bengetshisstuff and runsout the back, Adam has run roundto the back of the house toget in,he’sfuminghe seesbenandrunsafterhimhe catchesup and hitsben,theyfightandChloe runsout to stopit,Ben swingsforAdamandmisses hittingChloe inthe head. Benturnsto face Adam it’sa povshotfrom Benand adam punchesthe camera we sendthe screenblackand thatthe endof the film. Target Audience– Thisfilmisaimedandtargetedtowardsteenagers,howeverthe message behinditcan be applicable toadultswhohave experiencedorare experiencingthe same thing. Targetingthistowardsteenagerswillhopefullymake themaware of trustingpeople. I hope to displaythistothe maindemographic bykeepingthe plottwisttoaminimal,bythisImean that itwill hopefullybe notobviousonthe twistthatisgoingto happen,thiswill re inforce the message behindthe film.
