Razib Chandra sutrader presents on Azoic dye. Azoic dye, also known as Napthol, Magic and Ice color, contains an azo group (N=N) and is produced by reacting a Diazocomponent and coupling component (Napthol). It dyes cotton fabric and has good wash and light fastness though poor rubbing fastness. Dyeing cotton with Azoic dye involves a three step process of Naptholation, Diazotization, and coupling.
