2. Overall, 31 people
answered my
feedback
questionnaire. The
first question asked
was ‘How old are you?’
I listed 6 options that
consisted of 15, 16, 17,
18, 19, 20+. The
majority of people
that answered the
questionnaire were 17
years old. This is good
feedback for my
target audience as I
wanted to ask people
aged between 16-25.
No one skipped this
answer.

3. The next question asked
was ‘What gender are
you?’ which all 31 people
answered. 5 people
answered as Male, 23
people answered as
Female and 3 people
answered as Other. There
were three responses for
other but the only sensible
answer was ‘Both’. My
target audience was Male
and Females but I would
have liked to have seen
more Males answer the
questionnaire as there
were only 5.

4. The third question asked was
‘What is your preferred Genre
of music?’ Only 30 people
answered this question. The
majority of the vote was for Pop
music with 12 people and the
least amount with 1 vote was
Folk. I also added an ‘Other’
option which had 4 answers
given. These included; 90’s rap,
Classical, 80’s and Otherkin
Rock. The song I used by Andy
Duguid is part of a genre called
‘Trance Music.’ From looking
upon my feedback for this
question I have now realised it
would have benefitted my
research if I added in Trance
Music as one of the options.
Then this would have given me
an idea of whether people are
familiar with this form of music.

5. The next question asked was
‘Could you follow the
narrative (story) clearly and
easily?’ I received 31 answers
for this question. The
majority of the vote was ‘Yes’
with 19 votes. Then ‘A little’
received 6 votes, with ‘No’
also receiving 6 votes. This is
positive feedback as the
majority of the people
answered ‘Yes’ that they did
understand the narrative.
This was one of my biggest
worries as I wasn’t sure that
people would understand
what was happening in the
shots as they are quite fast
paced and are also in a mixed
order to replicate a string of
memories.

6. The fifth question asked was
‘What do you think the main
theme of this video was?’ This
question received 31 answers.
The majority of the vote went to
‘Cancer stages and memories’
with 26 people choosing this as
their answer. ‘Teenage Life’ and
‘Football Match’ both received 1
vote. I also listed an ‘Other’
option which received three
votes and answers but only 2 of
them were sensible. These
included; ‘Coffee drinking’ and
‘Birthday? There’s a balloon?’ I
can understand how some
people may see these ideas as
relative as there is a balloon
featured at the very end and the
girl does make and drink coffee.
No one answered ‘Birthday
Party’ but someone left the
birthday comment in ‘Other’
which doesn’t connect.

7. The next question asked
was ‘Do you think the
video works well with the
song choice?’ 31 people
answered this question.
The majority of the vote
was for ‘Yes’ with 26
people. Then 4 people
answered ‘No’ and in the
‘Other’ option, someone
commented that ‘The
video clips fit in well with
the beat.’ This is all
mostly positive feedback
as the song seems to fit in
well with the music video.
I was also worried about
this as the shots are fast
paced and are meant to
be in time with the beat
and keep up with the
pace of the song.

8. The seventh question asked was ‘Did you have a favourite
part and what was your favourite part of the video?’ 20
people answered ‘Yes’ and 11 people answered ‘No’.
Listed in the ‘Other’ option were the favourite parts of
each person. These included; ‘The ending, I love how
everything is all in flashbacks and then suddenly it’s
present day and the girl has died and is being
remembered’, ‘The shot at 00:59/1 minute mark’ (which is
a slow paced shot of the boyfriend kissing the girl on the
head), ‘I thought all of it was amazing’, ‘When Leyla (the
main character) cries’, ‘The balloon at the end’, ‘Solo
footage of the ill girl’, ‘The beat of the music on the clips’,
‘The clips of the happy memories’, ‘Balloon end’, ‘The fact
that you showed happy memories with friends’, ‘the
survivor pictures’, ‘When they are spinning around its in
time with the music’, ‘The ending with the balloon’, ‘The
memories shown throughout the video’, ‘All of it’, ‘The
end’, ‘The close up of her crying’, ‘I liked the whole thing
and how it is short little clips’ and finally ‘The shots taken
in Shaftesbury at park walk and the survivor shots.’ I am
very pleased with these results as I have had a large
amount of feedback. The shots that I am most impressed
with are also the audience’s favourite parts. The majority
of the favoured shots were the ending, the memories, the
survivor shots, and the solo shots.

9. The next question asked was ‘Was
there a particular part of the video
that you didn’t like?’ 31 people
answered this question. The majority
of the answers were ‘No’ with 27 and
then there were 6 people that
answered ‘Yes.’ Out of the 6 people
only 5 gave a reason on the ‘Other’
option but only 3 of them were
sensible answers. These included;
‘The narrative seemed to be a bit
confusing, and I was never really sure
whether I was looking at the past or
the present, and couldn't keep track
of all the characters’, ‘When the light
flashes and they’re spinning’ and ‘The
middle and beginning.’ I was worried
that some people may be confused
over the time period as it is meant to
be a series of memories. If I was to
create the video again and had more
time I would have taken these
comments on board and edited the
video in a different way to make the
narrative easier to follow.

10. The ninth question asked was
‘What improvements would
you have made?’ 31 people
answered this question . The
majority of the vote said ‘No’
they wouldn’t make any
improvements and 7 people
left their ideas in the ‘Other’
option but only 4 of them were
sensible answers. These
included; ‘Just a clear narrative,
though I don't know how you
would do that’, ‘Make it less
repetitive’, ‘It was very jumpy,
almost too much’ and ‘Make it
all black and white or make it
clearer why only some shots
are black and white.’ If I was to
create the video again I would
use these comments as a way
of improving my piece. I would
make most of it in black and
white rather than just a few
shots.

11. The final question I asked was
‘Would you watch my video
again?’ 31 people answered this
question. The majority of
answers was for ‘Yes’ with 20. 7
people answered ‘No’ and there
were 4 responses on the ‘Other’
option but only 2 of them were
sensible. These include; ‘I have
watched it loads of times
already’ and ‘Already watched it
again.’ These comments are
positive as many viewers have
found my video to be
interesting enough that they
would or have watched it again.
I am happy with my feedback
results as the majority of the
feedback was positive and If I
was to do the task again I
would evaluate all comments
and make sure I am giving the
audience what they want to
see.
