The student learned more about specific magazine genres and technologies through their preliminary and final tasks. They progressed in taking higher quality pictures using rules of thirds. Researching different music genres and styles helped create a more professional looking magazine. Knowledge of typical magazine conventions and research into music magazine conventions improved the preliminary task into a final music magazine.

4. Progression
Looking back at the preliminary task I feel that I have learnt more about specific genres
within magazines and how to address these. I have also learnt more about technologies
and how to use them. Another progression is taking pictures, I have progressed more in
using rule of thirds when taking the pictures and therefore getting better quality
pictures. Looking at research within different genres of music and looking at different
styles in more depth has helped progress my skills into creating a more professional
looking magazine. Finally I have progressed through the knowledge of typical magazine
conventions and researched into conventions of music magazines.
