Predicting the use of public transportation: A case study from Putrajaya, Mal...
Putrajaya is a new federal administrative capital of Malaysia which has been set to achieve a
70% share of all travels by public transport in the city area. However, the current modal split
between the public transport and private transport is 15:85. In order to understand travelers’
willingness to use the public transport, a conceptual model has been developed to determine
the factors that affect them to use the public transport instead of travelling in their own cars.
The conceptualized relationship model was analyzed and tested using an analytical technique,
known as the structural equation model (SEM). Various variables such as service quality,
environmental impact, attitude and behavior intention were used in the structural model. The
database consisted of a survey of 290 car users in the Putrajaya city and all of them are
workers working in Putrajaya. Results indicate that the service quality and attitude are found
to have positive effects on the behavioral intention of taking the public transport. Other than
this, this study also shows that the service quality and environmental impact have some
positive influences on the attitude in using the public transport. However, environmental
impact has no significant, positive and direct effect on behavioral intention. The results of this
study demonstrate that the model that was developed is useful in predicting the public transport and it could provide a more complete understanding of behavioral intention towards public transport use.

Production meeting
The production meeting on March 24th was to develop the idea for the film "Purgatory". Nathan Jones and George Jennison had previously outlined ideas around isolation, stalking, spiritual/evil motifs, and disorientated narrative to develop the concept. Nathan will monitor the cast and crew to ensure tasks are completed on time, with punishments for insufficient excuses. They want to include a spiritual presence and have the main character in a desolate, unpopulated area to relate to most audiences.
Improvements
Miss Bell provided feedback on problems with the film's camera work, lighting, and editing. The lighting fluctuated between light and dark shots, and the ISO settings caused grain. To address these issues, the filmmakers re-shot scenes, used video editing software to darken scenes and apply filters, and compressed files to improve picture quality and reduce grain.
Props and costumes
Monty will wear all black casual clothes to portray an aura of isolation and death, and carry a common iPhone. He will also have fake horns that only appear in shadows to represent the devil within. The two other people will both wear predominantly red clothes to symbolize violence and the devil, along with shirts, jeans, and shoes.

The man character suffers from acrophobia (fear of living the house) and vertigo (fear of heights) SYMBOLIC CODES (including enigma and binary opposites) The opening has spinning and falling, in the first scene when the chase occurs the man gets to the edge and the ground seems so far away this is foreshadowing the mans mental problems in the future (vertigo). The red filter foreshadows the death that is about to happen (red=blood) IDEOLOGY Are people truly who they are “can you determine a bookby its cover” LIGHTING The lighting is mostly made for the scene so out sided bright dimmer inside. We have a lot of distance shots and nature shots, e.g. the sea could be a metaphor for the uncontrollable and for things which go on beneath the surface (calm on top, rough beneath) MOOD & TONE Its mostly very suspenseful as week get the feeling that we don’t know whats happening (Veorism)
