3. Differences between my preliminary task
and my music magazine.
The most obvious difference between my two products is the main image on the cover. On
my preliminary task my image isn’t centred which i don’t class as much different to my music
magazine but the image is also very low down on the page. This makes the cover look
slightly off and un finished.
The editing of the main image is very easy as it is red and white. This is very different to
most magazines and as you can see very different to my music magazine. I took alot of time
to make sure the image on my music magazine was of a professional standard to compete
with official magazines.
The text does not look like a usual magazine as it is not sectioned just one side of the page
or even in line, which is very different to my music magazine as they are exactly below it and
are focused on one side of the page.
The colours used in my preliminary task aren’t very eye catching but as that was a school
magazine the colours are quite fitting. However the colours on my music magazine match
very well show the genre and the gender it is aimed at and also are very eye catching
5. Differences between my preliminary task
and my music magazine.
In both my preliminary task and my music magazine I feel the colours of the text used are very
eye catching. Also they both have black backgrounds to contrast with the text.
The text on my music magazine seems very girly and feminine where as because of the different
audience for my preliminary task the text on the product is unisex.
The text on my preliminary task is easily readable and there for a benefiting useful purpose
where as aesthetically the text on my music magazine is there to entice the audience and make
them feel comfortable about their choice.
The image on my preliminary task is very large but does not have one main focus where as on
my music magazine it is obvious who the person is and you can see in detail all the features. It is
also very eye catching as it is direct mode of address whereas on my preliminary task the model
in the image is not looking at the camera.
