Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you
 have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
PLANNING

 I did a lot more planning for my final task than my preliminary task which
made me more certain about what I was doing when it came to constructing
my magazine. I created a flat plan for the front cover, contents and double
page spread so I had an idea of where to put all my text and pictures when it
came to it. I also planned my photo shoot this time which is something I
didn’t do last time. I took on board the criticism and feedback from my
preliminary task so I could produce the best music magazine possible.
RESEARCH
 At the beginning of my task I did a lot more research than I did for my
preliminary task. I analysed front covers, contents pages and double page
spreads of music magazines to gain common conventions of music
magazines and to pick out features that I wanted to include in my magazine.
I also looked at layouts of magazines and font styles ect. As well as this I
researched the content for my magazine, for example I researched artists
that fitted into the genre of pop/rock and who appealed to my target
audience of teenage girls/young adults and was also able to gain a colour
scheme from my research and text fonts and styles.
TIME MANAGEMENT
 After reflecting on my initial print task I realised that I could have managed
my time better and not left most of my work till the last minute meaning it
was slightly rushed and not to my best ability.
 This time I think I have spread my time out and didn’t leave all my work till
the last minute. I spread out my work over a period of time meaning I could
spend more time on it. I created a checklist and tried to set myself mini
deadlines.
 Although I may have rushed my work at the last minute I have stuck to all
my deadlines.

H OW D I D M Y S K I L L S U S I N G S O F T WA R E ' S
     A N D H A R DWA R E ' S I M P ROV E ?

  My skills of using technology and software's has improved a lot from my
 preliminary task to now. I gained a lot of skills on Photoshop by watching
 videos on YouTube to teach me how to do certain things, edited my photos
 on Photoshop created them to look better and more professional than on
 Microsoft publisher.. I also learnt more skills about Microsoft publisher. I
 also improved the quality of my photos because the first ones were taken on
 a simple digital camera whereas these ones were taken on an SLR camera.
