Looking back at their preliminary task, the student feels they have learned more about planning, research, and time management for their full magazine product. They created detailed plans, analyzed other magazines for conventions, and spread the work out over time instead of leaving it to the last minute. Their technical skills also improved from using Photoshop instead of just Publisher, and taking higher quality photos with an SLR camera versus a simple digital camera. The increased planning, research, and new software and hardware skills allowed them to produce a higher quality final magazine compared to their initial task.
