Hardware
 The hardware is all the equipment and devices used to create
my magazine for example the computer, camera, keyboard etc.
Hardware
 To produce my magazine I used a white
Intel IMac. This included a key board and a
mouse to use the software. I used the
keyboard to add text onto my magazine
and I used the mouse for multiple
functions.
Hardware
 The camera I used was Nikon – Digital SLR which
is a manually set camera, the shutter speed was
set at 1/300.
 Another piece of equipment I used was called
horseshoe flash trigger. This is synced with the
strobe and the camera. It is also set at 1/300 to
make sure the lights flash at the same time.
 A SD card was used to store the photos I had
taken with the camera. I was then able to transfer
the photos from the SD card to the computer to be
edited and used.
Hardware
 3 important pieces of equipment used when taking my photos were
the hemisphere 300-stobe light, soft boxes and backdrop.
 The hemisphere 300-stobe light this device sends the flash when the
photo is taken.
 The soft boxes are used to soften the light so it doesn't appear to
harsh on the photo.
 The backdrop was used for the white background.
Software
 Software is the programs on the computer that I used to create
my magazine. I used multiple pieces of software to create my
magazine.
Photoshop
 Photoshop was the main piece of software I used as I used it to
create the whole magazine and edit the photos I had taken. I
hadn’t used Photoshop before but I was familiar with similar
editing soft wares so I didn’t struggle too much but I had class
mates that were able to help me if needed.
Word
 Another software I used was Microsoft word. I used this
software when making my article. I had wrote out my article in
word so I could prevent from having any spelling and grammar
mistakes in my magazine. It also allowed me to have drafts and
rough copies instead of typing it straight out onto my article,
this allowed me to be able to proof read it and make any
changes.
