1. What Have you learnt about
technologies from the
process of constructing this
product?

2. Apple Mac Computers
 To create every piece of
my magazine I used an
apple mac computer.
 These types of computer
contain all the software I
needed to do my
magazine e.g. Microsoft
Word.

3. Key Board
 The key board I used to create my product.
 I also used the keyboard for a number of different things,
like screen shot. I used this for research about the type of
magazine I was doing

4. Nikon D3100
 For all my photos I took
throughout the process of
making my magazine I
used this camera.
 The settings set on this
camera were set manually
to Aperture F11- Shutter
speed 1/300th
 This camera also has
different lenses you could
use to create different
affects on your photo

5. Horseshoe flash trigger
 This equipment works in
sync with the cameras
shutters
 Send a signal to the
strobe flash at the same
time the camera takes a
photo
 Speed se to 1/300th to
match the shutters

6. Soft Boxes
 I used soft boxes
because they disperse
the light around my
model and the correct
time I take the photo.
 Using soft boxes helped
me get the right amount
of light on my model I
needed to take the photo

7. Backdrop
 Behind the backdrop they
were a further 2 strobes
which lit my model us
even more
 Using the backdrop
made my model stand
out and be the focus of
attention in the photo

8. Adobe Photoshop CS5
 When I was designing
and creating my Cover
and contents page.
 This version of
Photoshop has many
different settings which
allowed me to design my
magazine to my best
ability.

9. Photoshop Continued
 Photoshop also enabled me to play with the font sizes
and style which helped me make my magazine.
 Photoshop also allowed me to change the colour of the
background and font, this helped to me to make the
reader attracted to my magazine

11. Adobe InDesign CS3
 I used InDesign to create
my article. I used this
instead of Photoshop
because it is easier to put
large chunks of writing.
 InDesign also allowed me
to edit the background and
fonts to create a good
article

12. InDesign Continued
 I added the text to the article after I had designed all of
the article.
 I did this because I could see if the writing would fit and
whether or not it would look good
 InDesign also allowed me to add a photo I took of my
model and add it to the article. However it was very
difficult due to the tools they had

14. PowerPoint
 I used PowerPoint to complete the questions and the
homework’s because it is very simple to use and it
allowed me to add photos.
 PowerPoint has many options to help my questions
look brighter and more attractive.
 It also always me to change the size of the font I used
and I can very easily change where the writing is
located

15. Microsoft Word
 I used word to create the writing in my article. I used
this because it is a lot easier to use than InDesign.
 It allowed me to change my font size and style with
ease
 The bar at the top of the screen has all the options
required and it is clear and easy to understand
