The student will create a front cover and contents page for their own music magazine using Adobe Photoshop for page layout and image manipulation. They will add daily research and planning evidence using various programs and technologies. Finally, the student will evaluate their music magazine by answering questions about typical content, images, features, and characteristics of music magazines.

1. Main Task
Firstly, I will be producing a front cover and contents page on a double page spread of my
own music magazine. To do this I will be using Adobe Photoshop to design the page layout
and design features on my contents page and article. Furthermore, I will use Adobe
Photoshop to manipulate the images that I will use.
I will also have to add my research and planning, which will include my evidence which will
be added on a daily basis and I will use different programmes/technologies to do this.
Finally, I will be answering some questions to evaluate my music magazine. Such as:
1. What is a music magazine?
2. What content (text,copy,writing,articles,story) would you expect to find in a music
magazine?
3. What images would you expect to find in a music magazine?
4. Identify general characteristics/feature that you would expect to find in all music
magazines?
5. Identify the features/characteristics they all have
6. Why are these features present on all of the magazines? Why are they important?
7. Take one of the magazine covers and say what type of music magazine it is?
