6. What I have learnt
During the process of the two projects I have learnt loads
of new things I did not know before. I have learnt how to
use InDesign and Photoshop which before hand I did not
know how to use. However as you can see, my first cover
and contents page I created are a lot different from my
finished versions, you can also see that I have developed
my skills throughout the process. I have also learnt how to
make my magazine look professional and look like a
proper magazine, which I feel that my magazine is near
that standerd

7. Throughout the process of making these two magazines I
have learnt thing that I must include to make my
magazine look profesional and look good, e.g. Masthead
or cover lines. On my first attempt of making a magazine I
did not use enough cover lines and so it made my cover
look bland and boring. In my finished cover I tried to make
sure that I filled out the page as much as possible
because this will attract the reader’s attention. .

8. Between the two contents pages there is a clear
improvement, my first attempt looks very poor in my eyes,
it looks poor because the colours don’t really match and
the photo is pretty awful. In the second contents page I
made sure I didn’t make this error again. I made the page
look smart and appealing, all the writing does not over
crowd you or does it make you confused. This makes the
page look clear and tidy which means that is very easy to
read and find the information you require

9. Photography
For my finished magazine you can see a significant
improvements especially if the contents pages. When
making my student magazine I knew little about
photoshop and I did not edit the photo enough to fit my
magazine. I made sure not to make this error in my
finished music magazine. I took a lot of time editing my
photos for both my contents and cover. I took a lot of time
because it is the center of attention from the reader. And
so if the photo looks good than they will buy the
magazine.

10. Using Design Software
The main software I used to develop both magazines is
Photoshop, throughout the process my skills on
Photoshop has improved significantly. You can clearly see
this by looking at the two cover and content pages.
At the start I struggled to use Photoshop and therefore I
was not able to use it effectively to make and attractive
cover and contents page.
