QUESTION 6-
Marked evaluation-
The technology we used-
We used the following
technology in are film
opening-
• A camcorder
• A microphone
• A computer
• An ipad
• A docking station
Everything I have learnt from using technology.
 From using this technology I have learnt you have
to be focussed at all times when using any on the
pieces of equipment as its so easy for something to
go from for example is you aren't focused and clip
the wrong button whilst editing you could mess
everything up, or if you aren't paying attention how
your actor was stood and then they move it makes
match on action extremely hard!
Technical Difficulties
 A few technical difficulties we encountered whilst
filming occurred mainly in the outdoor clips for
example when recording the church scene it was next
to a main road so cars would occasionally pull up or
zoom past meaning you would hear and see them.
 Another incident we had was the camera not
focussing, when changing location the setting of the
camera changed so we had to fix it which was
extremely stressful as we had to get our filming done
as soon as possible.
Software and Hardwear
 We only used 2 software's to edit our opening which
were premier pro and after effects
 We used premier to edit our song and film clips
however we used after effects to edit our title
sequence as we downloaded a template for our titles.
 As always editing can be stressful however we
managed and enjoyed our self in the process, I
focussed on editing the film clips whilst my partner
focussed on the title sequence and the sound.
Did you realise so much work went into creating
similar media products?
 I understood the amount of work that would be included
in this project however I think its different being familiar
with the word load rather than actually committing to the
work. This project took an incredible amount of work
and time and was extremely hard for me as I had 4 a
levels as well as extra curriculum activity's. However
saying this when I was doing my research for this project
I discovered there was so much to look in to that I hadn't
even thought about for example the fonts. This was weird
for me as when watching a film before I started media a
level I never considered what the font connoted or how it
reflected the narrative or genre.
My Technical skills
 There are a few shots and editing skill I am
extremely proud of fro example the match on action
of the door the pan of the room at the party and the
low angle shot in the sink. All of these I filmed myself
which makes we very proud of myself. I am also quite
proud of our production logo and the edited lighting
in the church scene.
My Technical skills
What would you do differently to improve or alter
your product?
I think that there are a couple of things I would alter to
make our opening better including the following…
 Put a sock a round our microphone when recording
dialogue
 Film all clips in the daylight even indoor shots
 Film when its not raining
