1) The group used a basic Toshiba camera that was lightweight and easy to move locations. 2) They used Celtex scripting software to design scripts for their film in an automated format. 3) Final Cut Express editing software allowed them to easily upload and edit footage on MacBook computers. 4) Google Blogger and YouTube were used to share work, feedback, and broadcast their finished film online.

1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. Camera
The first decision we made was to use a small
compact Toshiba camera. We chose this camera
as we were able to move locations easily as it
was lightweight compared to the other cameras
and that the overall use of the camera suited
our group due to only being a basic camera.

3. “Celtex”- Scripting Software
We used this software at the pre production
stage of the product. This enabled use to design
scripts for our film that were set out
automatically for us to enter the script we
wanted.
By this being entered easily we were able to
make various adjustments to our script without
doing it all again.

4. “Final Cut Express”- Editing Software
Final Cut allowed us to edit our film at the post
production stage. This was used on the
MacBook Computers in a editing classroom.
We simply uploaded our footage from our
camera and then edited the parts we needed to
make the film and insert sound and music to our
film.

5. Google Blogger and You Tube
We used Google blogger when sending audience
feedback and ideas that we had for our final
film. It also helped us to place all our work from
the group in one place so that we could easily
access the work we required and we were able
to place our final film on there for people to see.
Similarly You Tube enabled us to broadcast our
film to the vast online users and people on the
site.

6. Successful and Less Successful
Successful uses of the technology we used was
Final Cut Express. This is due to us being able to
edit our film much quicker than what it would to
use a more complex editing programme. Also,
the blogger account we had enabled us to share
and keep track of the groups work.
We found as a group that we did not have any
less successful experiences with any of the
technology we used.

7. What I Have Learnt
I have learnt that whilst spending a lot of time
with cameras filming that my camerawork skills
have improved and learned new skills such as
editing and scripting our film.
