The document discusses how the author addressed and attracted their target audience for a music magazine. The target audience was identified as 30-60 year olds who are higher educated, middle class individuals interested in music soundtracks. Images used in the magazine included computer drawn concept art and photos related to music production to match the theme and interest of the audience. Articles covered soundtrack reviews and interviews that would appeal to the audience's interest in the behind-the-scenes of music production. Muted colors and simple fonts were used to convey an established, respected feel appropriate for the target demographic. Convergence was included through advertising a competition that could be entered via multiple methods including social media.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
1. How did you attract/address
your audience?
Question 5
2. My Audience
Generally the age range of my magazine would be for 30-60 year olds because of the
nature of scoring music and the opinion of it being an elderly persons forté. But, the
magazine still has the opportunity to interest all ages.
My target audience for my music magazines are generally the higher educated ones in
society, they’d fit in any of the groups between A and C1 in any of the socio-economic
tables. Also, the Young and Rubicams group that my audience would fit into would be the
Succeeders, because they are the type of person who is most likely to look beyond just the
visual aspect of a film and into more specialist areas such as soundtracks.
Most likely from a middle class establishment/background. With the wealth and/or
financial support to be up to date on technology and the latest gadgets, so they must be
proficient in their use of technology
3. Images
In my magazine the images I used were my computer drawn concept art, the mixing desk
background for the contents, the ‘Jade’ mixing desk photo for one of the articles, the
keys from a keyboard as a back drop for where the album cover photo sits.
I used these images because the concept art fit with the theme of my main story and
looked good with my layout design that I chose for my double page spread. Also, using
the mixing desk as a background and keyboard keys as slightly transparent page furniture
would give something else for the reader to look at, but because they're transparent it
allows them to be less intrusive.
4. Content
I used articles in the contents page that I thought would interest my readers like the ‘James
Bond’ soundtracks review article and the ‘Last of Us’ soundtrack article.
My main cover story ‘Nightmare before Production’ is a play on the Danny Elfman and Tim
Burton collaboration film ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ as Danny Elfman is who scored the
soundtrack for the film and, is also the focus of the interview. Because, the audience is
interested in the soundtrack I wanted to express issues or problems that could be delaying a
potentially great soundtrack reaching the client. Many of the readers could identify with Danny
Elfman because he’s had to put in huge amount of work to get where he is today, much like
the majority of readers in the ‘Succeeders’ and/or ‘A-C1’ categories that I identified them as
being in.
Also including a wide range of cover lines would help the magazine connect with more than
one type of person.

5. Colour Usage
The colour usage throughout my magazine is quite muted with all the grey and darker
tones, it also conveys a more grown up feeling and reflects my audience well.
I wanted the magazine to have an established and respected feel, so I chose mainly
greys and translucent colours for the design.
The main cover image fits with the style of the magazine which helps to tie everything
together, it was also easy to use colours like muted purples so the colour wasn’t too
bold, but also there wasn’t enough colour that the magazine wouldn’t catch anybody’s
eye.
6. Style
My magazine uses simple to read fonts such as; Verdana (for the main bodies of
text), Pristina (for the header title on the cover) or MV Boli (for the had written effect in the
double page spread.
I wanted to use enough page furniture for the magazine to stand out and also for it to
enhance the content, but not use too much and make it look cluttered. Also, having the
page furniture tidy and uniformed makes it easy on the eyes.
The language used in my double page spread article is definitely in-formal because
there’s a lot of everyday language in there, but there are still hint of formal language
because of having to stick to interview based questions.
7. Convergence
I used an example of convergence in my magazine, to appeal to both a young and older
audience, who are in theory less technologically competent age range but must know
some bits about technology because they obviously have an interest in soundtracks and
the way they’re recorded.
I put a advert at the base of my contents page a bout subscription to a
competition, which would allow for convergence because they could enter in several
ways; by post, e-mail, phone or through social media like Facebook or Twitter.
